Edit: So, looking at the VV girls for the 1st real time... uh, there’s an oni girl named Kanna who’s apparently Nyontengu’s rival. She’d probably be the coolest one. Other than her, I guess I kinda like Nagisa and Tamaki’s design’s.

Tbh it should probably be oni girl, she seems to have the most novelty of the group.

Emery Reigns discusses the idea of a DOA/Tekken crossover. Apparently, there are people who want this despite the fandom rivalry.

The DOA Twitter thread is hosting a poll asking players if they gravitate more towards male or female characters.

Males only had 18% of the vote while females won at 81% wow gee I can't beliiiiieve it.

Honestly the only male characters I even considered playing for any length of time in DOA are Ryu and Elliot.

If I was honest the only male characters I play frequently are Hayate, Ryu, Brad and Bayman

'I remember a best of 21 with a friend him using Ein me using Ryu in Do A 2 Hardcore

This is the game series where Elliot gets hated for the sheer sin... of admitting that the attractive girls he interacts with and flirt with him makes him feel Het things... Clearly he must die for the sake of the yuris

Apparently the only males its acceptable to be pro het ship with are Hayate... with his Sisters or Hitomi

I gravitate more towards the female characters... because I am female buut

The male characters I play the most are Hayate/Ein, Jann Lee and Eliot. Out of the three/four, Ein has always been my favorite to use but Eliot is the only male character I am most proficient with that is actually on par with how well I play with my female mains so I use him the most.

I never understood the hate he got and didn't know he was even that popular fanservice wise since he is/looks a little too young for my personal tastes.

I think it's telling that we never get more than two new male characters per game.

And Akira in 5 was a guest character from Virtua Fighter.

The DOA movie removing Hayate and Ayane's blood relationship really didn't help.

Elliot would fit right into a harem anime.

I really don't get the Elliot looks like an SE character complaint since Do A is full of RIDICULOUSLY ATTRACTIVE PEOPLE. Heck of the guys the only people I'd say are 'unattractive' are Genfu who is still pretty well kept and dignified looking, and Tengu...cause he's Tengu

Bass and Raidou have that" Silver Fox /Daddy " appeal 'as my would be girlfriend explained it' going for them.

There's something very off about that Wonder Woman outfit despite how good it looks on the thumbnail.

I had no idea that people wanted that crossover over the likes of SF or KOF. Maybe crossovers are just that appealing. I still doubt Harada & his team would prioritize T X DOA over T X SF, especially since it's been over 7 years since they've announced the game.

I knew the female choice would be more popular, but my god, I didn't think it would be that much!

I've never really that much of a preference besides their fighting style. Which Ryu fitted every time I've played. Also, it seems that people still are asking for guest characters. And here I am still waiting for Leon, Gen, Tengu, & Ein's return.

Still not seeing the appeal of bangin your sibling, but I guess it wouldn't be fetish if you could explain it.

Also, I'm waiting for Irene to be added to Ryu's harem reunited with Ryu.

I don't think he looks as good as Ryu or Ein/Hayate, but I think looks good in his own right. Just not as much as someone like Brad.

Raidou, fuck no!

Seriously, everything about Raidou feels like it belongs in a different story entirely.

Yeah, his backstory/how Ayane was conceived still disturbs me along with that it gets completely glossed as background fodder (not that I expected much else). Did not expect him to be brought back at when I started playing Last Round, let alone a playable character. I don't see they just couldn't have him be the Evil Dad/Uncle without the rape.

ETA: Then they had the audacity to continue to bring his dead cyborg corpse into the story and have him father another kid, whom I wouldn't be surprised if it was revealed she came into the world the same way Ayane did..

You may not be the only one who feels that way. According to these stats Raidou was the second least played character in DOA 5: Last Round. Now this could be because his gameplay wasn't as good as other characters, but I can't help but feel that not too many players are keen on using a rapist as their main.

After all, there's a reason why Namco Jossed the fan theory that Kazuya raped Jun.

Them trying to bring back Raidou in any form just seems incredibly stupid to me. He's not some iconic villain like Bison or an Ensemble Dark Horse. The only reason he should have a second lease on life is to give Ayane the chance to kill him.

Speaking of villains, it's incredible that we're six games in and Donovan, despite being the Big Bad of the story, still remains The Unfought. I think DOA is the only fighting game that I can say this about.

Raidou is essentially supposed to be Heihachi played darkly straight. The main issue is he was in the first game and then missed out when 2 and 3 are arguably when Do A hit its cult status 'there is a reason Leon has an affection for his inclusion even though he is pretty much Bayman'

Do A doesn't really have Iconic bosses like other fighting games then again 3d fighters don't tend ... since all the really flashy stuff doesn't translate well
