Florida official facing calls to resign for saying Muslim Rep. Tlaib might 'blow up' U.S. Capitol.
"Somehow the hated have to walk a tightrope, while those who hate do not."She's certainly "lighting up" the headlines!
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."The Quebec City mosque attacker was sentenced today. He received the automatic life sentence for 1st degree murder, and won't be eligible for parole for 40 years.
Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.Good day to everyone except the Islamophobes, and especially the guy who called my sister a "camel-fucking ching chong". Your tea for the day:
- A Queensland man rammed his car into the gates of a mosque in Stockleigh, near Brisbane.
- Three men assaulted a man outside an East London mosque, shouting abuse in the process.
- A man in Phoenix was arrested for trespassing into a mosque and making threatening gestures at the people inside.
Fuck Isamophobics.
My Anime crush is LegosiJim has an interesting vid about the aftermath of Christchurch and Australia:
That Avi guy's really lacking self-awareness.
Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.GOP legislator prays to Jesus for forgiveness before stateâs first Muslim woman swears in â Some of her colleagues are calling it an offensive, divisive and Islamophobic display immediately before the Pennsylvania House swore in its first Muslim woman
Jesus: "I forgive you... for being a bigot."
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."Apparently, Avi's accusing Jim and the production crew for the fake news story in Jim's segment:
And he's been invited to head to America after being banned from mos social media stuff.
According to him, he was able to plant a hidden camera to record Jim's full interview/conversation as proof that Jim manipulated his interview to make it look like Avi's anti-Islam.
It's in YT by now on Avi's personal channel. I don't know if you can keep an open mind, but Australia media's picking up on the news.

"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"I did think that interview seemed unusually aggressive, and that there was more material that didn't make it in. However, what he said in there was bad enough on its own, regardless of it's "intended" context.
And he's going to morons like Rubin and Crowder to defend himself. So fuck him.
(Also that site looks like it's infused with a bunch of reactionary trash).

Given the week and a half time gap I'm compelled to ask ~The Wyrm if they're referring to the interview mentioned in the posts above or something else entirely.
The ideal solution to such dilemmas is making sure you make it clear to people who would use legitimate criticism of a group as a means to indulge in bigotry towards them (or a member thereof) that they're not welcome, you can distinguish the two and they will be shut down.

TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerI think it is always important to make distinctions between criticizing a religion or making bigotted judgements about all members of said religion.
I for one am an atheist and I think that, all in all, humanity would be better off without the concept of religion as a whole. But I don't go around and try to diminish people (be it muslims, christians, buddhists or whatever else) because of it.

Given how it's their only post I suspect they're referring to this thread in general
this music plays whenever I post also a boxThey could of replied to my post instead of making a unsubtle dig.
My Anime crush is LegosiThey did reply to me via PM saying it was a response to posts read as they went through the thread. Didn't say which ones and I probably wouldn't even if they did since it was a PM.
So, uh, Republika Srpska has gone past genocide denial and into straight-up genocide celebration.
- Russian volunteers came to ViĊĦegrad to commemorate the "defence" of the city, where over 1,000 Bosniaks were massacred.
- Bosnian Serb MPs annulled a report acknowledging the 1995 Srebrenica massacre.
And suddenly I recall reading a Cracked article in which a survivor of the genocides discussed what it was like when your own neighbors tried to murder you and people like you.
Your Neighbors Try To Murder You: 6 Realities In A Genocide
The last point of the article is perhaps the most disheartening:
- Genocide Works
A study done by RSIS regarding Singaporean Muslims and their skepticism towards state institutes.
Singaporean Muslims have always lived in a secular state and participated fully in its institutions even though they are sceptical towards the reconcilability of secularism with Islam. A study is being undertaken to ascertain if the embracement of the secular state ideology bears out of pragmatism rather than Islamic beliefs. Thirty-seven asatizah (Islamic preachers and prayer leaders) who are traditionally the socio-religious influencers of religious life, were interviewed as part of the study. This paper captures their thoughts of secularism as a philosophy, their religious perspectives of living in a secular state, and their justification to suspend the application of Shariah laws.
