Ever have a crush on a fictional character?

Catwoman when I was 6 years old.

That's a pretty mature crush for a six-year-old.

I felt the same way about the Animated Series version of Catwoman.

On that note, I also once felt jealous of Batman when Harley Quinn French kissed him. ^_^;;

I've had a crush on Iron Man ever since I saw the first movie. -blushes-

Speaking of Iron Man, I once had a crush on Julia Carpenter thanks to Iron Man's animated series back in the '90s.

Chichi.

It's probably worth noting that when I was a kid, I somehow preferred Chichi's preteen character design over her adult form. I never was quite sure why, until many years later it occurred to me: It was what she was wearing.

Probably, if I got into Dragon Ball now, I'd find Kid Chichi's clothes rather creepy.

Although I still, in present, kind of prefer Kid/Teen Chichi over Adult Chichi. Mostly because she basically went from Action Girl to Wet Blanket Wife.

Forget I ever said anything here. I feel what I said is kind of embarassing, heh.

Well honestly it'd take forever to list all my waifus (and husbandos). So I'll just list the two most prominent ones: Himiko Toga and Denki Kaminari—which take importance for literally no reason other than their work being my current obsession.

And if you really wanted to know, some of my more embarrassing ones as a kid were Norway and Dawn. Don't tell anybody though.

Victor Sullivan from Uncharted.

Story of my life. I never experience more than passing mild blushing at regular people, and only think a small handful of actors^note Tessa Thompson, Mamoru Miyano, and Tatsuhisa Suzuki, if you were wondering are "nice to look at" in particular. Conventionally attractive figures such as Chris Hemsworth and Jason Momoa don't do anything for me. This didn't use to trouble me, since I spent my preteenhood and early teen years on Tumblr and communities influenced by it where it was normalized, but now that I've grown up a bit and everyone I know and all of my peers are dating now, I wish I wasn't this way.

• When I was a child, as I posted in another thread, I had weird semi-platonic crushes on Blaziken, Latias, and Cresselia without being aware what that was. I had no human friends. These things may be related.
• At eleven, I binge-watched/hyperfixated on Dino Squad of all things and, even more unknowingly, thought that Victor Veloci was hot. Trying to find the name of his voice actor actually led me to our own page on that regrettable show.
• A year later, I delved deeper into TV Tropes and, after learning what a Bishōnen was and that they were desirable, started to, as the kids say, catch feelings for N Harmonia. I somehow wasn't aware of it until after the fact despite ^{cringe warning} RPing marrying him in a random forum thread.
• Shortly after I turned thirteen, it finally happened. I had been getting into Avatar: The Last Airbender and was "interested" in pages such as Estrogen Brigade and Mr. Fanservice. Look at those pages and one name will be mentioned in that series' entry. I clearly remember sitting in a car on a long road trip, thinking about these things and some (innocent) dreams I had, and realizing. "Oh. That's what I'm feeling about Prince Zuko." The crush became far more intense than whatever I had felt before after I accepted it. I did not know how to handle these feelings, so I was extremely annoying and weird about it for 3 of the 3.5 years that the crush lasted. But I did genuinely love him. I don't regret having this crush/husbando, but I do regret how I behaved.
• Two that I again didn't realize/accept because they were adult villains and I was 14, that I don't even want to name. That was a weird and awkward phase. Next, please.
• A friend who had gotten me into anime convinced me to watch Free! in tenth grade. Since she gave me the rundown on the boys already before I started, I went into it expecting Rei to be my new husbando. Long story short, it was Rin instead. This crush has lasted for about three years now and been as intense as if not more so than the former one. I'll sound like a Daydream Believer if I say anything more. I know he isn't real and it's all in my head, but he does feel like a real person to me.
• I've had a less intense fondness for Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki for a while now. He could move up my husbando tier list to challenge Rin if not for one unfortunate new development...
• For the past six weeks or so, it's been Kars (aka the page image on Visionary Villain), who is... not a nice (Pillar) man. My old awful taste has returned, it seems. At least I'm aware of it so I can deal with it without awkwardly repressing it, but I'll probably cringe at this phase as much as I do at the two unnamed ones above.
• Edit: about a year ago, I had something that didn't work out with Tenya Iida. We're very similar, but he's too young for me. If there were to be a timeskip to the current Class 1-A's third year, however...

No worries; I actually found it all to be a very interesting read!

I had a similar issue with Ayame Sohma. He was actually what helped me realize that I have a thing for "pretty" men.

I also had a huge crush on Baron Humbert von Gikkingen growing up, which is probably why I'm a furry now.

Presently, my crushes tend to amount to little more than "oh no, he's cute!", but a few men who fall under that include:

• Roy Harper

• The Arrowverse version of Superman (can you blame me? He's ADORABLE!)

• Newt Scamander

• Enjolras

My first crush was on Luigi of all characters. (don't ask I was 5) yeah, but due to other kids bullying me because I "seemed gay" i supressed my bisexuality way more than I should have. : /

Mufasa, although I'm mostly attracted to his voice. It just happened out of the blue, don't judge. I'm still embarrassed about it.

I had a crush on Kovu growing up. Honestly, if he was a human (or if I were a lioness) I'd probably date him.

so...... I just spontaneously just developed a crush on Serpentine.

I have no idea how this even happened. Not that I care or anything like that.

I thought about why I'm like this after making my main post, and I think it probably has something to do with how I remember who someone is much more easily when they have distinctive, unusual, or flashy aspects to them. Many of the characters I listed have such features, such as a scar, unnatural hair colors, or... pretty much everything about Kars. And regular people are just... people. That's how I see them, not as potential dates.
