• Personality: She’s a bit curious and playful, always enjoying meeting new people. She has a pretty easy time getting along with most people.

• Bio: The daughter of a Japanese Immigrant catgirl being (for some reason she decided to come to America). She grew up on her own mostly, having tons of fun being a cat on the streets, or a catgirl in the otherworld. Simple life really.

• Skills and Abilities: Cat like agility, Cat like flexibility, cat claws, cat vision.

• Possessions and Assets: Just her self obtained collar, and the clothes of her true form.

Working on my secondary, supernatural character. A bit out of it right now, so I'll work on bits and pieces when I get around to it.

  • Name: Nimue du Lac

  • Appearance: Smile.
  • Personality: Free spirited and lively, Nimue is a fairy who wants to enjoy the world and all it has to offer. The world has changed a lot since since she first stepped out onto it, and she awaits every transformation and shift in the world with eager anticipation. Nonetheless, she is aware and wary of the dangerous things in the world, and when it comes to dangerous magic, she has a sense of duty to keep it contained.
  • Bio: A former retainer to the Lady of the Lake, Nimue served her queen as the Lady awaited for a new hero to claim the weapons of enchantment, as they had done ages before. However, Nimue grew tired of waiting for a hero who might not ever come. She could see from the other side of the lake's reflection the rapid changes of the modern world, and weary of the static realm of the Lady longing for a new hero, Nimue slipped away on her own to explore reality on the sky side of the lake. Traveling far and for many years, seeing the world transform before her, she caught wind of the mysterious magic that had appeared and disappeared in the city of Volwick, and the rumors of what it could be. Knowing the dangers of powerful magic left unchecked, she made her way to the unassuming town...
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Appraisal: Nimue has an eye for understanding the quality of magic, both in strength and in purpose. However, the more complex or powerful a magic or enchantment may be, the more difficult it is for her to ascertain its true purpose. Because of her servitude to her Lady, she can also assess the quality of weapons as well.
    • Light of Foot: Though unable to achieve true flight due to the latent dampening of magic, Nimue can leap into the air like a feather on wind as well as slow her descent, allowing her beyond-human acrobatic mobility and the ability to skip along water. Along with this she can keep herself well balanced.
    • Gentle Cure: Can alleviate minor injuries and ailments, though something more severe would be beyond her scope.
    • Child of the Lake: Has the power to manipulate water, moving it, freezing it, or turning it to mist. However, she can only control a small amount at a time (say, about a bucket of water), and her area of direct influence is small.
  • Possessions and Assets: A journal of her travels, some clothes, a little bit of money from odd jobs. Her most prized possession is a small vial of blessed water, taken from the lake she once called home.

  • Age: 21
  • Gender: Male
  • Religion: Druid

  • Appearance: Garrett is a very, very large young man - indeed, his tallness and strength of frame is probably what most people notice about him. Standing at 6 foot 7 inches, and weighing in at 250 pounds, its pretty clear by his build that little of that weight is fat. Despite his large, intimidating form, his face is rather handsome, with a rather scruffy, not all the way developed amount of hair on his chin and jaw. He has ruddy, brownish-red hair, a few braids present near the back of his head, otherwise, his hair extends down to the base of his neck. His eyes are bright blue, seeming very pure. He mostly wears a collection of clothes that are basically whatever he could bring together or find. Mostly, he wears a tattered coat, a short sleeved shirt under that, very clearly worn jeans, and boots on his feet.
  • Personality: Garrett is in many ways an innocent and "pure" soul, formally disliking deceit and manipulation, and preferring forthright action. He has a sense of honor he follows in lieu of any loyalty to a man, a country, or a law. To him, it is paramount that those who are right and those who are mighty flourish, and that those weak and "despicable" find ruin. While not a conventional one, this shows his concern for the weaker members of society is part of a Social Darwinist ideology related to growth and protection to encourage this - if you have no motivation to grow stronger, you're useless to him and will be treated as such. Being raised in the wild, Garrett has no respect for laws or social customs, or any public figures. As far as he is concerned, it is utterly baffling to allow a politician to run a city, "he has no strength in his arms, and he rules only through the fear of those at his side who are strong...what a monstrous, pathetic man." While in many ways, Pure Is Not Good, he has a resolute moral code when it comes to saving people - if he sees someone is in trouble, it will benefit them and him strength wise if he runs to help. He views this ideology as "inspiration". Garrett seems to also be slightly affected by how diminished magic is in its present state, and he has a mind to try to do something about it...
  • Bio: Garrett grew up on the streets of a city near Volwick - he was abandoned by his parents, never even learning his last name. He was taken in by a homeless man who "apparently fought in a war". He was given the name "Garrett" by this foster father figure. The streets were tough, and the two frequently had to fight off thugs and other dangers. It was during this tumultuous time that Garrett took along a hatchet the two found in an old shed. However, during their roaming, something happened to lead Garrett to be separated during travel through a forested area. At the age of 11, Garrett was alone again. However, he was all at once very much not alone. He found himself in a place that was rarely disturbed by Man, as he roamed, trying to find his father figure. He ended up communicating with spirits who made their home in the forest. Deciding to take the boy abandoned by civilization in, the Spirits brought him up as a Druid, one who communed with them and was familiar with nature's power. Over 10 years, Garrett grew up in the care of these entities, becoming the man he is today. They sent him out, when they felt that magical pulse over nearby Volwick City, deciding whatever it was, it needed to be investigated in case it might cause the world harm. And so Garrett returned to civilization...

  • Skills and Abilities: Garrett's magic is mostly Full Contact Magic, making use of motions to manipulate nature, though on a small scale, such as influencing animals to help him, as well as granting a little magical oomph to his physical strikes. He can also use a spell called Totem Armor to attain qualities of different animals, such as Bear Strength and Cheetah Speed.

  • Possessions and Assets: His old hatchet, now with a few vines wrapped around it and a curiously rust-free blade. Other than that, he has the clothes on his back.

  • Name: Johann Clock(Formerly), Jane Clock, Sister Joy.
  • Age: 27
  • Gender: Female, originally male.
  • Religion: Animism; "spirits greater and older than us inhabit the land they should be revered and respected"
  • Species: Horned People
  • Appearance: To the uninitiated she seem like an ordinary woman, youthful, short of height, fair skinned, dark brown hair cut short, her eyes dark blue. Both her face and body would have boyish features.

However to those that can detect the supernatural, whether by skill or natural ability, it would be a different sight, a pair of dark branching antlers would appear on her head, black lineal marks on her face and body, her hair and teeth would become a vivid red, and her normally dark murky eyes would become bright, clear and glowing.

  • Personality: A free spirited individual, happy, easygoing and carefree, thought to some she might seem careless and childish. She keeps a sense of wide-eyed wonder, despite being wiser than she appears. The kind of person you would call unironically "Sister Joy"
  • Bio: Its a typical story, a young man is fed up of his life in a small town, in which he can't hope to really leave. A group of performers inspire him to run away with them. Once the man is of age they reveal what they are, something not human, something marvelous. They ask him to change to become like them. The man accepts, and emerges a horned woman. They reveal to the new woman the full extent of their beliefs, converting her fully. She continues traveling and performing until the leader of the troupe falls sick of old age and dies. The remaining members decide to part ways, a good chunk continue their travels, a few return home, and a couple go settle in another town. One on a big city, and she went to Volwick, to share her beliefs and entertain. Now she lives in the attic of a tavern, in which she performs.
  • Skills and Abilities: As a horned-woman, she's got superhuman eyesight, endurance and stamina, but everything else is human level. She's trained in singing, acrobatics, dancing and playing the flute, making her rather agile and dexterous. However her real power lies in her Animist roots. By communing with nature's spirits she can tune herself with it and alter it to her suggestions.
  • Possessions and Assets: An apartment on the attic of the "Devon's Den", some clothes, an used bike, her wooden flute, her journal, and her magically strengthened walking staff.

  • Name: Ararethiel, or Ariel, as she calls herself around the normals
  • Age: A good 400 or so years
  • Gender: Female
  • Religion: Nay-Theist
  • Species: Fiend
  • Appearance: To anyone else, Ariel just looks like a regular girl. But to those supernaturally aware, they can see horns hidden in her hair, and the signature golden eyes of a fiend. Kind of like this. She also goes barefoot, since she's pretty much in perpetual poverty.
  • Personality: Ariel is a free spirit. She prefers to live by her own rules, unbound by the restrictions of others. Perhaps this is why her circumstances frustrate her so, now that she is actually stuck in Volwick. However, even though she may appear constantly irritable and frustrated, she is always open to talks with strangers. She is also very quick to anger, and she'll let you know too. Because she'll swear. A lot.
  • Bio: Hell is pretty terrible. Being born there, Ariel absolutely hated her childhood. She fled as soon as she could, deciding to travel the world instead of living like the obscene, hateful monsters fiends were known to be. She traveled for centuries, finding more joys than she thought she could know, and she only wanted to discover more. It was about a century ago that she arrived in Volwick. What she saw was amazing to her, as never before had she been in the presence of so many supernatural beings like her. However, her over-excitement proved to be her downfall, and she made a bad pact that forced her into the confines of Volwick for the rest of her days. At first, she tried hard to make her living in Volwick, but eventually, the century just became a blur, leaving her ever more miserable. She gave up her job, her possessions, just about everything. Now she just... wanders.
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • She has pretty a powerful healing factor, able to regenerate even lost limbs in a few days.
    • Ariel also possesses increased strength and pyrokinetic abilities, although compared to what they could do in the old days, these powers are merely shadows in comparisons. For example, the best Ariel can do with her pyrokinesis nowadays is create a campfire. However, these abilities still increase proportionately to the amount of fear in the air, so a city-wide panic means that Ariel can do things like lift houses or burn a house to the ground.
    • Last of her repertoire of abilities is the pact. Legends speak of how fiends would take the souls of men in exchange for granting them diabolical favors. Well, those legends are half right. In reality, a pact can be perfectly mundane. It can be as simple as exchanging a pound of rice for a back scratcher, provided a verbal agreement is reached beforehand for the spell to work. The only catch is that the obligations must be carried out.. The only way to nullify the pact is with a stronger spell, and a spell stronger than this tends to be pretty hard to come by.
  • Possessions and Assets: Absolutely nothing.

Hmmm I'd try to stick to the totem aspects part of the character's powerset. Shockwaves aren't really a thing that ought to be used a lot in the game. Manipulation of nature should be small stuff as well.

Name: Chana ben Ami

Age: 22.

Gender: Female.

Religion: Judaism.

Species: Human.

Appearance: Short (about 5' 5"), with shortish dark brown hair that turns maroon in sunlight, rather narrow eyes the same color as her hair which she enjoys using for death glares, glasses, and a bit of chub. Her eyes are narrow enough that she is semi-commonly mistaken for Asian, which has happened enough that it's turned into rather a large berserk button for her. Usually seen wearing jeans, t-shirts with varying degrees of nerdiness, and her trusty red converse.

Personality: One of the sassiest people you will ever meet, and rather jaded and cynical, but at the same time, she tries to be nice, especially to small children and people in general unless they've done something to earn her ire.

Bio: Chana was born to two Orthodox Jewish parents in Volwick. Though somewhat demanding, Chana's parents truly loved her, and made sure that Chana was involved in her religion from an early age; studying the Talmud and the Torah, learning Hebrew, going to the local synagogue, and going to school, all at the same time. Because of the amount of work school and her parents gave her, she didn't make many friends, which is why her next-door neighbor, Cathy, became her best friend over the years. They did everything together; they went to the same school, did their homework together, and hung out at each other's houses to the point that Cathy's parents became like a second set of parents to Chana, and vice versa. By their senior year, the two girls were more than inseparable, and were even planning on going to the same college, Chana to study theology, Cathy to become a doctor. Then, one day, Cathy was killed when someone broke into her house and Cathy tried to stop them. When Chana heard, she was overcome by grief, and threw herself even more into her Talmud and Torah studies and schoolwork, barely eating or leaving her room, save to use the bathroom. But one day, she began hearing odd noises, almost like whispering. The whispering progressed until Chana could make out her name, along with other words and fragments like "-hear me?", "Chana, please start-", and, most startlingly, "It's me, Cathy." So, one night, after an incident involving a CD of Paranormal Activity, a flashlight, hypnosis, and a panic attack, Chana found out that Cathy's ghost was haunting her, though benevolently. Knowing that her best friend was, if not alive, at least able to communicate with her, was enough to set Chana on the long road to recovery. Now a senior in college, she plans to major in Medicine (to have a marketable degree and for Cathy's sake) and minor in Theology.

Skills and Abilities: Fluent in Hebrew, and sometimes switches to it when tired/angry. Cathy's ghost can also give Chana a Status Buff, though neither of them know that, as they haven't been in a position where it was needed.

Possessions and Assets: A bike, a rather shoddy apartment over a bar (whose customers and owners know never to be too loud, or they will face Chana's wrath), and an iPhone, with a data plan, calling, and texting.
