I'll post Aewyn and Lucerna separately.
- Name: Aeywn Faiche; Aewyn of the Green
- Age: 27
- Gender: Female
- Religion: Hasn’t met a god she likes yet
- Species: Human
- Appearance: Like this
in her traveling cloak, which she doesn’t get to wear much due to the heat in Volwick. Her hair usually falls over her right eye, and though she finds this annoying, she doesn't bother cutting it until her bangs reach her chin. She usually wears jeans and comfortable button-down shirts, but sometimes she enjoys wearing ankle-length skirts as well. She has an ugly white patch of scar tissue just above her clavicle.
- Personality: Steadfast and headstrong, Aewyn relies on her quick wits to carry her through the problems that her attitude can sometimes cause. She's a firm believer in shock and awe and believes that making examples is the best way to keep bad things from happening to oneself, and tends not to trust anyone unless they've proven themselves to her multiple times. She has a soft spot for stupid kids who have gotten themselves caught up in the magical world. Aewyn hates the 'modern' world; more used to small towns and peace and quiet, she dislikes crowds, and more importantly, she hates not being able to cast like she used to. She puts up with the crowds because that's where the money is, but inwardly she hates how weak they make her feel.
- Bio: Hailing from “somewhere in the Isles”, Aewyn showed natural magical talent from a young age. When her parents caught the infant Aewyn giggling over tiny lights in the air in her crib, they apprenticed her to an old hedge mage down the road, and before long she was growing like a weed both as a spellcaster and as a young woman. Her teacher died when she was around fifteen, and, devastated, Aewyn fled into the forest surrounding her village. Though a search was organized, it was over a week later when she made it back to the village, injured and exhausted, with a fresh, poorly-healed wound in her throat. Since then, her voice has been faint at best; she can strain to be heard at near-normal volume, but it hurts her throat. Generally, to get long sentences across or to be heard from far away, she has to ask Lucerna to relay her message for her, which frustrates her sometimes. Since reaching adulthood, she’s traveled across most of the world, exploring and studying. She was called to Volwick by a friend and, having nothing else to do, went; she's been here longer than she expected, long enough to set up a small shop.
- Aewyn met Lucerna in a pub somewhere along her travels, when her headstrong attitude and stubbornness reacted badly with the pride of a local tough with some magically-enhanced friends. It was only thanks to the combined efforts of knight and mage that either of them survived at all, and the experience forged them into inseparable traveling companions.
- Skills and Abilities: Aewyn’s magical ability is almost entirely evocation-based, and she has a particular affinity for fire, lightning, and light. She very rarely casts anymore; with her throat injury and the dampening effect produced by so many commoners in the city, it’s usually more effort than it’s worth. She has a concealed-carry permit and knows how to shoot handguns. On the friendlier side of things, she shares a number of hand signs that she uses to communicate with Lucerna if she’s feeling too lazy to walk over to her, dabbles in dancing, and knows how to play the Irish tin whistle.
- Possessions and Assets: Aewyn owns and operates a small curio shop out of the cramped storefront under her apartment in the city. It’s earned her a few pointed looks from the local magical authorities, but she’s very careful not to sell anything actually magical… at least, not while the inspectors are around. At most, she sells “good-luck charms” that are enchanted to burst with light if anything beasty attempts to attack the wearer; most of her customers never see that function, and the ones that do tend to try not to think of those dark nights. She owns a beat-up old car that still works mostly because Aewyn knows a repair magus in the city and he owes her favors.

It's been fun.- Name: Lucerna Wulfstan
- Age: 50
- Gender: Female
- Religion: None, though not as aggressively as Aewyn
- Species: Human with elf ancestry
- Appearance: Here
, though the only part of it she wears regularly is the hat. Lucerna appears about twenty-five and claims to be thirty; her ears are just a little pointy, a fact which is usually hidden by her hair. Her features are very fine, and her slender frame belies surprising strength. She usually wears black or grey jeans and a casual blazer over a white shirt.
- Personality: Lucerna is a fairly experienced and worldly person, having traveled much of the world both before and after she met Aewyn. She’s not easy to rattle, and has a dry sense of humor that helps take some of the edges off her otherwise rather reserved bearing. Her loyalty to Aewyn is absolute.
- Bio: Lucerna was born to the itinerant traders of the Wulfstan family in the north of Germany. With enough elven blood to know that the world was far vaster than most people knew, the Wulfstans made their living making trips between supernatural villages, bringing messages, packages, and various goods for people either unable to disguise their true natures or too susceptible to the Crowd Effect to venture into a city. Lucerna spent a lot of time out in the backwoods and between towns, and developed a taste for the open road very early in life. She learned how to handle a blade and a gun from her mother and older brothers, and for several years traveled with her family, protecting them from marauding beasts grown used to weak and disbelieving prey. Still, eventually it proved too limiting, and with the blessing of her parents and her older brother’s treasured sword, she set out on her own to seek her fortune. For a few decades she found it working as a bodyguard, sometimes selling her skills to someone worried about supernatural attacks, sometimes joining local militias to protect unknowing civilians from the things that go bump in the night. Most of the jobs didn’t hold her interest for more than a few months, until she met Aewyn and, over the course of one long and harrowing night, became fast friends with her.
- Skills and Abilities: Lucerna is very skilled in several means of hand-to-hand combat, as well as in the use of her brother’s sword – a magical broadsword that transforms into a thick silver bracelet when it’s not needed. She also knows how to use a pistol and has a concealed-carry permit in several states. She’s spent long enough with Aewyn and knows her well enough to be able to read her intentions from rather far away, and knows both ASL and the modified version she uses with Aewyn. She’s also very good with a harmonica, and makes most of the charms Aewyn sells in her shop with her whittling and woodworking skills.
- Possessions and Assets: Lucerna lives in Aewyn’s apartment, and shares most of her possessions. She’s licensed to drive Aewyn’s car and has a cell phone; her corner of the apartment is full of shelves with a variety of books, weapon maintenance materials, and other practical things.
- Name: Fiona Marcach
- Age: Early 600s, appears to be in her mid 20s.
- Gender: Female
- Religion: Celtic paganism
- Species: Dullahan
- Appearance: Fiona is an extremely voluptuous, tall headless woman. She isn't that imposing, but she is quite well-endowed. For the masquerade, she wears a motorcycle helmet in public.
- Personality: Fiona is laid-back and fun loving, but also a bit of a spoiled diva. She's very opinionated and doesn't take kindly to bigots or idiots. Fiona is very down-to-earth, confident and genuinely optimistic. She can be blunt to others, even her friends. Fiona is very goal-orientated, and she does get easily frightened by those that are stronger than her. She is insecure about her lack of a head, and fears people being afraid of her monstrous personality. She enjoys modeling, dancing and acting, and enjoys positive attention from her admirers and fans. She loves playing video games and browsing the internet. Secretly, she is a huge fan of memorabilia featuring anime girls, like figurines and body pillows. She communicates to people with her smartphone.
- Bio: Fiona was raised under the ideals of her evil mother's Unseelie Paganism. She was taught to sacrifice humans and perform sadistic rituals. But she eventually learned more about humans, ran away from her family and joined into Knighthood in Europe, seeking the protection and guidance of the magical government to blend into human society. As the ages past, she immigrated to America, sometime in the 1950s. During this time, she become a popular pin-up model, and maintained that work for about 20 years and then left for fear of her unaging revealing her magical nature, from the advice of the magical community. She has sent been one of the most beloved models and actresses in the magical world, appearing in all sorts of parts and magazines. She has most definitely sparked the puberty of many young magical boys. Recently, her head was stolen, and getting a feel for the faint connection of it, she has come to Volwick to find it.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Weather Manipulation: Fiona has the magical ability from her celtic origins to produce contained weather effects such as thunderstorms, tornadoes, blizzards, etc. They are usually just the size of rooms, but with proper time to prepare, they can be bigger. She also does not get easily cold or hot.
- Fiona is a professional model and actress. She knows how to look cute and sexy. There is pretty much no one in the modern magical community who hasn't at least heard her name.
- She is also a trained dancer.
- Fiona can use any inanimate object that she can lift for a head, attaching it onto her neck.
- Possessions and Assets: A beautiful and stylish penthouse looking out high above the city, an extremely large wardrobe the latest and most fashionable clothing, plenty of income from her modelling, and tons of fans.

I didn't get to do much with her last game, so I'm gonna bring her back for this one and hope to find something to do with her.
- Name: Renee Fontaine
- Age: 17
- Gender: Female
- Religion: Non-Practicing Christian
- Race: Human
- Appearance: Like so, but Renee prefers to wear hoodies.
◊
- Personality: Renee is a meek girl even amongst her closest friends, barely able to eek out a few quiet words to those who know her. She's most "vocal" when she texts, e-mails, IMs, or etc. where her filter comes off and she speaks her mind in the most abrasive way. She can be insufferable like this, but it's mostly all bluster.
- Bio: A young woman living with her parents in Volwick taking classes in the local community college. She dreams about being a popular actress, but her introverted nature is kind of a problem. Still, she's in the campus's drama club and hopes that the four years of college will help her open up a bit.
- Skills:
- Hiding: Her shyness is so strong she can practically remove her presence from a situation. Well, for most people anyway.
- Writing: Due to her typical means of communication, she's got a good grasp of the English language, which she usually uses to snark and/or complain.
- Staging and Special Effects: She works as a stage technician for the drama club so she knows the ins and outs of scene setting.
- Possessions and Assets: Nothing out of the ordinary for a college age girl. Saving up for a car.
As usual, my sign-up is probably a bit rushed. Might need to fix some things later.
- Name: Frank Peter Farmer
- Age: 25
- Gender: Male
- Religion: Agnostic, Frank doesn’t focus on religion too much but knowing there’s magic out there, he isn’t too reluctant to believe in divine beings.
- Species: Wererat, formerly human
- Appearance:
- In rat form, he’s still the size of an average man though his limbs are a bit thicker than most humans. Frank is grey fur with a lighter patch around his belly area, with his ears, hands and legs having visible pink skin. He still has blue, humanish eyes while his legs are on the digitigrade side. In this form, Frank only wears a t-shirt, an open vest and an amulet under his clothes. If you want a pic, he’s the bigger of the two rats in this pic
◊
- In human form, Frank is a white man that is slightly pudgy with brown, wavy hair that doesn’t go past his shoulders and has the same blue eyes he has as a rat. The time spent in rat form made Frank prefer loose and non-covering clothes, wearing shorts and sandals along with his usual t-shirt, vest and amulet.
- Even when human, Frank still uses Connie’s illusions in the amulet to look good or properly dressed to mundanes while still wearing what is comfy.
- Personality: Frank is a relaxed guy who just wants a comfy life, with no dreams for something greater. He is usually on the friendly side, willing to help out if it isn’t too much of a bother. Despite this, Frank does have a sharp tongue, which Connie is most likely to be on the receiving end off.
- Bio: Frank was born and raised in Volwick with only one brother as a sibling. Most of his life wasn’t so eventful, going to school, then university and finally getting his own apartment and working his days in an office cubicle. However, one year ago, a certain fey rat pushed Frank into the supernatural by biting him and turning the man into a wererat. He was mad at Connie for the events but needing to adapt to his species change meant the smaller rat would be sticking around. He found an Honeybear Apartments, a place more ideal for those on the supernatural side and moved there, with his life eventually reaching some form of normalcy and him softening up to Connie.
- Skills and Abilities: Being a wererat, Frank can shift between human and rat form, with his preferring to be the latter nowadays. In rat form, his nose and ears get sharper and the bit of muscle he gained making him stronger and hardier. He even becomes a better swimmer on top of this. He also has a telepathic link between him and Connie. Besides being a wererat though, Frank has no ability in the supernatural he doesn’t borrow from Connie. While he doesn’t have any exceptional skills, Frank can show Nerves of Steel during times of great tension, possibly getting a few negative emotions but never panic.
- Possessions and Assets: Frank has a unit at Honeybear Apartments, with the place being well-furnish and a high end computer Frank recently brought. He owns a car and usually carries a smartphone in his vest. The wererat owns two amulets, trying to keep one of them when he can so he can looks the way he wants to look to mundanes
- Name: Connie
- Age: Doesn’t know nor care. Lived before the masquerade.
- Gender: Female
- Religion: To Connie, the most powerful fey are like gods and goddesses. Believes that human religions are of divine beings focused on humans.
- Species: Rat Fairy
- Appearance:
- In her usual rat form, Connie’s a grey rat with a yellow ribbon tied on her neck. Besides the ribbon, she doesn’t look too different from a mundane rat you could find at the pet store. For those wanting an image, she’s the smaller rat playing with the big one’s tail
◊
- When Connie wants to look human, she tends to be a blonde woman with blue eyes that wears a simple yellow dress with sandals.
- In her usual rat form, Connie’s a grey rat with a yellow ribbon tied on her neck. Besides the ribbon, she doesn’t look too different from a mundane rat you could find at the pet store. For those wanting an image, she’s the smaller rat playing with the big one’s tail
- Personality: Connie is a mischievous rat, loving any good trick or prank. While in the past her shenanigans have been a bit cruel, she has toned them down to a more harmless level in modern day. She doesn’t mess with people as much as she used to either, with her more helpful side being more visible. This could be due to the loneliness she endured for several years, Connie does not want to feel that emotion again and tries to stick around Frank whenever possible, though the company of others can suffice too.
- Bio: Back before the masquerade, Connie travelled around with other fey rats, having fun with their trickster ways. However, when the magical world decided it wanted to be secretive, her friends thought this took the fun out of it and went off, Connie never seeing them again. She tried to continue the act of being a prankster but it didn’t feel the same isolated. Eventually sick of her isolation, she bit an unexpecting Frank, turning him into a wererat. She helped Frank adapt to his new situation and endured his bitter words, with her companion eventually being a bit more welcome to her.
- Skills and Abilities: Connie’s trickster past has given her a lot of time to develop skills in shapeshifting and illusions.
- Her illusions can reach about the size of a small room and can trick the eyes, ears and even nose of mundane creatures, however a good number of supernaturals can see past them. She can pull out an illusion to trick most supernaturals, but the area is smaller, being about the size of a car and requires intense focus to do so.
- Connie's shapeshifting is versatile, being able to become several different animals, plants and objects, has a size limit between that of an ant and a human. She can’t imitate supernatural abilities either if she decides to take the form of a supernatural creature.
- On top of those two abilities, she can become invisible and intangible although the right magic can put a stop to that.
- As Frank knows too well, she can turn humans into wererats through bites, though doesn’t want to create any more. Any wererat she created has a telepathic link to her.
- And because she’s a rat, she’s a great swimmer!
- Possessions and Assets: Connie doesn’t really own anything except the Ribbon on her neck.
EDIT: Emboldened the titles and put the telepathic link between Frank and Connie I forgot to mention.

Some people say I'm lazy. It's hard to disagree. How many fields of magic can Specialized Families possess, and what are some common ways of making enchanted objects? Could a Family specialized in creating life make living powered objects to use (like a sword that bursts into flames or goggles that can see in darkness)?
Though, would it be possible to play as a former inanimate object/Companion Cube that has metamorphosed into a humanoid entity to act as a guardian for their owner? Actually, I would like to know the limit on how many characters a Player can have.
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."- Name: Charles Elliott Lash, AKA C.E., AKA Chucky E. (But only to his momma)
- Age: 28
- Gender: Male
- Religion: Non practicing Christian, was Baptist as a kid but stopped going to church a while back.
- Species: Human
- Appearance: C.E. is a six foot three black man, physically fit, he is slightly muscled. His eyes are brown, and his black hair is done up in corn rows. He has a close trimmed beard with a faded scar running from the bottom of his right nostril to the middle of his chin. Additionally, he has the name of the mother of his child, Gabrielle tattooed on his right shoulder. His outfit normally consists of a black tee shirt and jeans.
- Bio: A troubled kid in his youth, after his father ran out on his mom when he was 7 he learned to steal to help put food on the table. Often running into trouble with the law narrowly avoiding juvenile hall, one day that changed when he was 14, a girl caught him shoplifting and bought the items he stole for him. The girl, whose name was Gabrielle, was the daughter of a local pastor, and with the help of her father and his church, helped turn C.E. and his mother's lives around through donations of food and assistance with bills. Their friendship eventually progressed into romance, and in their haste, Gabrielle ended up pregnant while they were still in their junior years. Despite the hardship, their parents kept them in school to make sure they had at least diplomas. Gabrielle eventually gave birth to their daughter, Lucy, and later still the both managed to graduate. Picking up odd jobs to help out, C.E. and his family were honestly happy. That changed when he was 22 and Gabrielle was attacked and killed by what appeared to be a group of animals. Despite police claiming that they couldn't find the animals involved, C.E. took it upon himself to investigate and stumbled into the Masquerade when he discovered that the culprits were novice werewolves, and in the ensuing fight found out about his own magical abilities, namely channeling magic into weapons. Now years later, he works as a "Handyman" out of his home, dealing with supernatural elements for people in his neighborhood to try to keep it safe from things that go bump in the night.
- Skills: C.E.'s main ability is channeling power into objects, mostly to use to hit things harder. He's not too sure how it works exactly though, he just knows that he gets really tired when he does it too much and that there are people out there that can do way better. He also is good at labor like plumbing and flooring since he also works as a normal handyman.
- Possessions: He owns an apartment in the lower income part of town and a old model SUV. He has numerous baseball and softball bats to use as weapons, plus a 9mm handgun that he doesn't have a license for but keeps around just in case.
Gonna do another here later. Typing on a phone when you have huge hands sucks.
• Name: Real Name: Ashralania, Disguise Name: Ash Tiamat Flint
• Age: 201
• Gender: Female
• Religion: None
• Species: Dragon
• Appearance: Her true form as a dragon is still a bit small considering her young age, she is about larger than the size of a horse, with a wingspan of about 12 feet, and her scales are red and black with silvery steelish horns and talons. Her disguised human form looks like this: http://imgur.com/KK5hP7Q
, except with of course, a business suit for her day job, and jeans, a tanktop, and a leather jacket for casual wear. She also in human form wears a pair of prescription glasses due to surprisingly crappy human eyesight.
• Personality: Pretty calm, and can be a nice girl when you get to know her, but she has a bit of a temper… A bit explosive… Okay maybe drop the “bit”. She’ll fly off the handle at a moment’s notice if you push the wrong button. She does have a bit of ADD when it comes to treasure though. Precious metals, precious gems, anything shiny and of value basically.
• Bio: Very much a simple, all powerful dragon. She is quite young however, only being about 21 in terms of human maturity. Her original bloodline stems back to that of the grand dragons of England, of which, unlike most foolish humans think, not all were too terribly hostile and preferred a nice bit of sheep to a young maiden any day. In fact sometimes the dragons were the ones that were the victims, what with so called honorable knights trying to steal from the treasure hoard rightfully belonging to the dragons. But that’s beside the point. Ashralania for the longest time resided, and was in fact born in, the mountain range where the humans were mining for precious metals. Some of which Ash had taken quite a liking to. But eventually the humans dug a bit too deep and found her cave, which of course, led to either her being discovered, and having the humans flip out over the existence of a dragon and bringing in military, or offering sacrifices (do humans even still do that? She wonders) or she could just decide to take a different route. So she disguised herself as a human, and decided to try living amongst them. One thing she didn’t account for was the amount of magic it takes to resume her true form, and how crappy her eye sight in human form was. So after getting a job working as a bank clerk, she went to the optometrist and got a pair of prescription glasses, and settled down for a boring… Human… life. Constantly wishing something fun would happen.
• Skills and Abilities: She can assume her true dragon form in an area with sufficient enough magic, like along a Leyline or something. She can though produce partial transformations, like scales on parts of her body that can protect from blades and blunt weapos, bullets are more effective, especially on her underbelly in dragon form. She can also produce talons on her fingers, her tail for whatever reason she might need it, or her wings for a little bit of flight time courtesy of Air Dragon. She can access about half her dragon form strength by shifting her arms to partial dragon form. She also has her fire breath, though while in human form its limited to a range of about 5 feet ahead, and her human body can only use it so much before heating up too much, so it requires a bit of a cooldown period.
• Possessions and Assets: She lives in rather spacious 1st floor apartment in downtown Volwick, under which she may or may not be digging a new cave in her spare time… She also has a bike. A simple bike.

- Name: Christoph Kowalski
- Age: "Uh...a bit over a hundred? I dunno, I lost count."
- '''Gender: Male
- Religion: Christian
- Species: Revenant.
- Appearance: Hey! You kids shouldn't be here!
◊ Unlike most undead, zombies and the like, Revenants are more preserved, with few things indicating their undead origins. For Christoph, it's a single bullet hole over his heart, along with another one just above his left temple. In addition, though it is a minor thing these days, Cristoph is pale skinned, instead of simply Caucasian.
- Personality: A bit of a hardass...okay a really big hardass. Cristoph's dedication to the law is the sole thing that keeps him alive. Unshakable in his beliefs and motivation, he will not stop his service out of his frantic love for all things Law related. He has shown a slight side of lightheartedness, but that is something he really only shows around children, believing them (even when proven otherwise) to be the only innocent things on earth. He also revels in his unlife, particularly the fact that he can no longer feel any pain. He doesn't understand why everyone thinks its a curse, he thinks its the best thing that ever happened.
- Bio: Born to a Polish immigrant family, Cristoph is a policeman from nearly a century (or more) back in time, Cristoph met his end at the guns of a pair of gangsters that grew upset with the fact he refused to be corrupted. Well, he would have, were his love for the law not so strong. Shortly afterward, Cristoph returned to the land of the living, enlightened and feeling better than ever. A bullet in his heart and brain, the newly raised Revenant decided that he would get to work cleaning up the streets of his beloved city or "die" trying.
- Skills and Abilities: As an undead, Cristoph doesn't feel any pain. Bullets, stabbings, burning, smashing, impaling...doesn't hurt him a bit. He feels the pressure but the pain is just not there.
- Healing: Cristoph is able to regenerate any wound, due to being...well, a living corpse. Limbs must be reattached, however, and he cannot regenerate from complete destructior. However, if a large enough part of him is left, like an arm, leg, or his head, he can fully recover in a day or two.
- Abnormal Strength: While nothing too extreme, Cristoph has strength beyond that of an ordinary man. You won't find him flipping cars, but he can toss around guys larger than him, due to not feeling the strain of his muscles.
- Possessions And Assets: A medium sized apartment downtown, a six shot revolver with some special bullets set aside for "unusual threats", a detective's badge, an old 1987 Mustang, and a few dozen sets of work clothes.
Immortal Neet:
1. Possible. 2. Possible. 3. Possible. 4. Possible. 5. Kinda silly, don't like as much.
Krika: Approved.
Red Savant: Approved, Approved.
Saturn: Approved.
Starbound: Approved.
Jau: Approved.
Kkutwar: No specific limit, but if it seems like you're having too many I'll start to restrict. As for how many specializations per family... usually just one.
GIG: Approved.
Solus Lupus: Hmmm size in dragon form is too big, maximum I can give you is slightly bigger than a horse. Should also have reduced strength when in human form and some degree of limit on using breath weapon. Likewise, I'd like reduced resistance... when you got armor piercing round only hurting like a bitch and breaking scales you got yourself quite a tank.
Truthhurts: As you wish!
Taco: Sure.
Romanian Inquisitor: Approved.
- Name: Josiah Henson Shirley Zeisberger Sutherland - Goes by Joe.
- Age: 30
- Gender: Male
- Religion: MAGIC
- Species: Human
- Appearance: A little schlubby.
◊ Joe might run and jump and climb around the city enough, but he's still not that well-developed. His whole body's surrounded by a layer of pure chub that prevents total conventional attractiveness. He is tall, 6'4", so he can wear his weight well enough. He typically hides a set of military surplus tactical webbing under his jeans and jerseys. He wears a lot of hockey jerseys.
- Personality: Josiah has a constant optimism that pushes him ever higher and onward. He believes strongly in his ability to take on basically anything he needs to if given enough time, and despises folks who say otherwise. This extends to his outlook on Magic: he refuses to believe it's in decline, and instead thinks that this is just a time for further innovation and advancement.
- Bio: Josiah is a wizard who believes his kind is not in decline. He was raised with other family members who were also wizards, and they were defeatists. Magic was only ever used for mundane bullshit there, and they let themselves get pushed around. Nobody changed in that house, and the home just felt like a dead end, which was weird because they were motherfucking wizards. Realizing his family would never respect him, Josiah legally tacked three more names onto his own and left the house at 18. He spent years traveling abroad, experimenting with dozens of magical techniques until he decided that a return to the glories of old would require a return to the method. He also realized that he needed money, and set himself up as a professional Wizard. This of course has him pretty maligned by the old guard of the local wizard community, but he's been trying to get himself more up in the world in the mundane community, maybe in doing so prove himself to the magical sorts. He's also been interested in the non-wizard side of the magical community, but hasn't really gotten into that until recently. Demolition. Children's parties. Protection. Consultation. Professional wizard. (108)777-1025
- Skills and Abilities:
- Josiah is a master of hermetic magic, magic channeled entirely through prepared sigils, typically of chalk or ink. These sigils can be anywhere between three inches and six feet in diameter, but they grow much stronger with increased size. The sigils then need time to charge, pulling in magic passively before releasing on his mental command. These sigils really only ever control heat, light, or kinetic energy. They can release heat as firebombs or suck it in to freeze things. They can release light for complex light shows or be used as temporary "dark-bangs" that drain all the light out of the area. They can release kinetic energy for a solid thwack or drain it to just make everything nearby hard to do. These sigils can either project themselves perpendicular to a plane or onto the plane they are inscribed on, but they always have to be on a mostly-flat surface. A standard foot-wide sigil requires ten seconds to punch through wood, an hour to punch through shitty metals like the ones in dumpsters or bad cars, and a full 24 hours of charge to destroy the steel that holds together a skyscraper. This also means that he can often disguise some of his magic as actual magic tricks, allowing him to at least get a chance to dodge the oppressive force of disbelief.
- Possessions and Assets:
- Josiah stays prepared. He has a set of four "Frizz-bees" on him most of the time, frisbees inscribed with pre-inscribed and charged flying discs that release a storm of light and fire.
- Josiah always has the "Bash-light" as well, a flashlight with a kinetic release sigil on the lens which can be used as a short-range single-shot punch.
- Josiah's final tool is the "Cramp-Stamps," a set of four rubber stamps that together create a six-inch fire release sigil—primarily used for executing or humiliating an opponent.
- Josiah owns a shitty brown sedan, but hardly ever drives it, preferring his fixed-gear bike.
- An apartment just above his office, set on the south half of the local university's campus.

- Name: Dawn Francine Mc Dowry
- Age: Born in 1968, died in 1985, just resurrected.
- Gender: Female.
- Religion: Didn't really care before her death.
- Species: Zombie
- Appearance: Like, what are you staring at, skeezeball?
◊ (Wearing a blue and white cheerleading uniform)
- Personality: Dawn is the epitome of Valley Girl. She is generally stuck-up, conceited, shallow and judgy. Before she died, the things she cared most about her boys, money, clothes and trash-talking other girls. Dawn is pretty naive, but she's very opinionated. She will always speak her mind, being as blunt and mean as she cares to be. She's something of an airhead, but she is very self-conscious and easily grossed out. She doesn't like being treated unfairly, and craves positive reinforcement. She is very caring about her physical appearance and fashion sense. Back when she was alive, she didn't really have any ideals of justice or anything moral like that.
- Bio: Dawn lived in a small town in California, always spoiled, the most popular girl in school. She had her friends, followers, her football star boyfriend and everything was perfect for her. She didn't have a care in the world. But, there was a mentally-unstable goth kid, who had a massive crush on her, but also hated her. One day, he went crazy and killed her. He hid her body in his room for 2 days, in an attempt to use his poor magical training to resurrect her. It didn't work, and she was buried back in the town her parents were born in, Volwick City. At the start of the RP, the magic has finally kicked in, 30 years later, and she has been revived, having to claw her away out of the ground to discover not only is she dead, but the world is populated by magical creatures.
- Skills and Abilities: As a zombie, Dawn has not feel any pain from cuts, bruises, fire, wounds, gunshots or anything like that. She can slightly grow back most wounds, but very slowly. If she loses a limb, it has to be pushed back into place for it to reattach.
- Dawn is extremely flexible and has amazing gymnastic skills as a former Head Cheerleader, amplified by her zombification.
- Dawn can chew and digest of the brains of the dead, and experience flashes of their memories.
- She can pass her virus onto humans through biting through the flesh.
- She is immune to diseases and poisons, as well as the lack of oxygen.
- Possessions and Assets: Not much at all anymore. Everyone she knew and everything she had was 30 years ago, before she died.

- Name: Andy Arastiles
- Age: 21
- Gender: Male
- Religion: None
- Species: Human
- Appearance: A man of average height, with short dirty blonde hair and green eyes hidden behind glasses. He is usually dressed in slacks and a wrinkled dress shirt of various colors. Tends to have a pen tucked into the front pocket of his shirt, and a pocket watch in the pocket of his pants with the chain dangling out.
- Personality: Despite what he does for a living, Andy hates people. Throughout his studies, he's probed into the depths of the human mind, and he did not like what he's seen. Bitterly sarcastic to just about everyone, and almost always seen with a frown on his face.
- Bio: Born and raised in Volwick, Andy lived a relatively normal life for the majority of his childhood. When he was 12-years-old, however, his grandfather showed him an old stopwatch and the age-old family art of hypnosis. His grandfather then asked him to carry on the family tradition. His parents dismissed it as garbage, but that moment has been imprinted on Andy's mind ever since. Despite his devotion to his mesmerizing craft, the only way he could think of utilizing it in psychiatry. So he now studies at a small community college so he can hurry up, get his psychology degree, and get the heck out of there. He is fairly close to his goal. A year away from obtaining his Bachelor's and a current internship at a clinic. All he needs is just one more uneventful year.
- Skills and Abilities: First and foremost, Andy is very well-read in the field of psychology. He's also very studious and dedicated, especially when it's for something he's passionate about. In terms of more supernatural abilities, Andy is also a skilled hypnotist, putting it to good use in his studies and other things.
- Possessions and Assets: Andy's most prized possession is his grandfather's pocket watch, which is not only necessary for him to perform hypnosis, but also holds sentimental value as well. Other than that, he owns standard college student things like textbooks and such. He also has a small, 1-bedroom apartment, and he usually gets around on bike.
Okay one more profile now that I've slept and my hands don't feel like mush.
- Name: Lucille "Lucy" Lash
- Age: 12
- Gender: Female
- Religion: Technically angnostic. Sometimes goes to church with her grandmother, who is baptist.
- Appearance: Lucy is five foot one, with long wavy black hair and hazel green eyes. She is of average build. Her usual outfit is a tank top and hoodie with shorts and sneakers.
- Personality: Lucy is a bold and energetic young girl, always ready to be the center of attention. She has quite the potty mouth, but she keeps in check around strangers. She dreams of being a MMA superstar, and works hard every day to make it a reality. She has a strong sense of justice, having appointed herself a "bully hunter". She doesn't know much about the Masquerade, but she knows her dad is involved in "Weird Shit".
- Bio: When she was 6, her mother was killed. After that, her dad started behaving weird, sometimes coming home late, sometimes coming home injured. This eventually culminated in him one day coming home bleeding and crying, clutching Lucy close and promising to always protect her. Fast forward a few years and the two are almost inseparable. In the years since Lucy grew interested in fighting so that her dad would feel less worried about her, and she tries to help him with work when she can get away with it. Now entering junior high, recently she's started to notice more odd things going on around her, and has been poking her nose around in places that seem to be more than they are. As scary as some of those things seem, she gets the feeling that she can handle what ever gets thrown her way, with the help of her dad of course.
- Abilities: Lucy is a skilled (for her age) boxer, and recently started taking judo classes as well. Her pride is her right hook, having once knocked out a high schooler with it. Additionally she has started to notice that sometimes her arms mover faster than they should, and she is starting to put some heavy wear and tear on her training equipment.
- Possessions: At home she owns a couple of punch bags, one of them recently busted open, and a heavily dented training dummy. She often carries around a smartphone, usually using it to surf the web and play music on, and a set of leather gloves in case of fights. Her most recent birthday gift was a 18 speed bike from her grandmamma.
I'll figure something out while I'm writing this.
- Name: Oliver Bole / Kalister Kire
- Age: 19 / 300-odd years
- Gender: Male / Previously Male
- Religion: None / Devotee of the Great Carp
- Species: Human / Animated Wraith
- Appearance: Sharing the same body, Oliver/Kire look like your average human being, which is only a problem for one of them. Their shared body being Oliver's, of course. A figurative bean-pole and being a foot beneath modern male's average height (Oliver being around 5 feet even), he isn't quite the looker. With skinny arms and pale skin from years spent not outdoors, uncombed dark brunette hair and dark blue eyes, and a thick pair of glasses to boot, some would even say Oliver was very nerd-like. The times when Kire takes over the poor kid's body there isn't many noticeable changes, physically, aside from Oliver's pupils dilating wider than normal and growing a little blood-shot.
- Personality: Oliver doesn't like being in other people's company, even if they are a friend. He keeps to himself, withholding anything he deems not needed to be said, and is an all-around bummer. Though once he does work up the patience to talk to someone it's very hard to get him to stop. Under this icy exterior is a person, of course, one who wants friends and social interaction, even if he doesn't think so. / Kire is nearly the exact opposite. When he's in control he can be an outgoing, loud, and overall friendly guy who cracks jokes and barbecues wieners, while he's plotting six different ways to punch you in the face. Being an exaggerated vision of his living self, it's to be expected that his dislike of mortalkind boiled over into a universal hate for anybody. However he's very fond of animals, and can easily be subdued in the presence of a particularly cute cat.
- Bio: Oliver was a relatively normal teenager, passing high school by the skin of his teeth and moving immediately away from his parents into a shabby apartment downtown. And after getting a somewhat challenging job as a freelancing code monkey, he was set to living his life. A whopping one year later, he got bored. Day in, day out it was the same wake-up-computer-eat-sleep rut he was living before. And so he sought entertainment in the only avenue he could; online auctions. Seventeen transactions, nine ripoffs, two investigations into his raking-up and a boatload of stamps later, lil Ollie happened upon an odd looking medallion being sold one day. With not much in the way of bidding, Oliver easily bought it, not knowing that this Amethyst necklace was harboring the long dead soul of one seriously pissed off spirit. Kire, having been alive in the mid-19th century, was a simple wizard living a simple life with the not so simple goal of immortality and maybe a little mortal murder, as a bonus. He achieved the first dream, if only through a technicality, cursed to walk the living world as a ghost of his former self, literally and figuratively. Skip a few hundred or so boring years and Kire is deposited right into Oliver's hands, proceeding to occupy the kid's brain and take it from there. Since then, Oliver has had no idea of his shared personality, assuming the amulet he bought allowed him to see fictional creatures in real life and fend off invaders while asleep.
- Skills and Abilities: Being a simple mortal, Oliver himself has nothing extraordinary to note, other than the ability to see the world through the eyes of a magical creature such as Kire. Whenever he is asleep or unconscious in any way, Kalister is able to take over and use his body in more ways than a mere human could. He gains amazing feats of flexibility, dislocating and relocating bones as he sees fit. Reduction in pain as well, though he still feels it (a bee sting feeling like a pinprick), and is able to slightly boost his intelligence, though this saps energy quickly from Oliver's body.
- Possessions and Assets: Oliver owns a small studio apartment, and aside from all the junk he's bought online, the amulet that holds Kire.

Decided to try out nun for some reason. May still try for a second character (or first if this character is unacceptable), but maybe not since there is another rp I am looking to try for.
- Name: Mary Clarke
- Age: Was 20 when she was bit, has spent 8 years as a vampire
- Gender: Female
- Religion: Christian (Probably some sect meant specifically to deal with the supernatural. Just going to leave it ambiguous though so I can have some creative freedom and not be tied down with specific practices. Mostly focuses on the forgiving and love part of the religion over the authority of god part.)
- Species: Vampire
- Appearance: Mary is a 5'4" pale skinned woman with a small frame. She seemed to be Caucasian before her turn. Her blonde hair reaches down to the middle of her back. With little upkeep except for occasional washes and self cut/uneven bangs, her hair tends to be rife with spit ends and the such. She has light blue eyes which seem to catch the light and even shine alittle unnaturally. She has bags under her eyes which contrasts against her pale skin and bright eyes. She wears no make up and can be considered homely looking. She has burn scars on the tip of her fingers, palm of her hands, and a small spot on her fore head from touching certain items like holy water and crosses. There is also light scaring along her fore arms, but they appear to be from something else. She usually can be found with a friendly expression of wide eyes and a goofy grin. Most days she simply wears her black and white habit, though she does have some casual clothes in the form of simple white dresses. If she has to go out during the day, she wears her habit with and extra lair of clothing underneath along with leather gloves, boots and a WWI gas mask whose eye lens have been shaded (Used to belong to her grandfather). The outfit was chosen for its effectiveness at keeping her skin covered as opposed to looks, none the less it earns her lots of strange stares.
- Personality: Mary usually comes off as polite and meek. The type who is always looking to please. She is slow to anger, but is easily flustered. She has a certain vigorous passion when talking about her faith however.
- Bio: Mary doesn't like talking about her life before becoming a nun. Her sole description of her life while alive is "a lost sinner". Because of the life she lived, she became deathly ill and sought to extend her life through unnatural means. She knew of some supernatural creatures and went to them, as she puts it, to trade her eternal soul for an immortal corpse. She instantly realized after turning that it was not what she wanted, but with no way to take it back, she began to wander until she found herself in front of the church. The nuns took her in and she confided in them everything about what she was and what she has done. To her surprise, the nuns did not turn her away, but consoled her and gave her a place to stay. The nuns taught her how to live with her new condition and eventually Mary became a sister her self. She currently lives in a rundown building downtown where she provides religious service to creatures who for one reason or another can't attend a human church and provide help groups for those whose diets or habits are incompatible with human and/or christian standards.
- Skills and Abilities: Mary has the usual vampire abilities such as above normal strength and agility, blood drinking, being hard to kill, as well as their usually weaknesses like sunlight and silver. She can play the piano and is a decent singer.
- Possessions and Assets: Owns a rundown building downtown to which she operates out of. Was able to acquire it near free due to its condition. The building contains a room made into a make shift church (a podium, benches, religious iconography, make shift confessional booth, candles, piano), a room set aside for help groups (fold out chairs, chalk board), a few spare rooms for people looking for a place to stay (futons), and her own room (futon). She has a few hand me down luxuries as well such as a radio and an old tv as well as some books. Has a scooter which she uses to get around whose mint green paint is peeling.
- Name: Rachel Monvoisin
- Age: 55
- Gender: Female
- Religion: Agnostic
- Species: Witch
- Appearance: Right here
- Personality: A mature, worldly woman, extremely intelligent and knowledge of both the mundane and the magical. Rachel has seen a lot, and has put up with a lot of nonsense. She is a strong, independent woman who doesn't scare easily at all. She doesn't really care about the personal feelings of others, and is consistently blunt and honest. She has a good reason for everything she does, and it's hard to get a read on what she is thinking. A million thoughts may be swirling through her mind at once. She cares a lot about her personal hygiene, style and grace. She enjoys fine dining and wine, and living comfortably. She can be quite mischievous and teasing at times, especially with young men, who she secretly enjoys dominating. She doesn't like dealing with idiots or selfish criminals. She cares a lot about maintaining the masquerade.
- Bio: Rachel was born in Toulouse, France in 1795, to a well-known local psychic and an unknown man that raped her mother. She was raised as a witch like the rest of the women in her family. They were constantly edging towards poverty, and Rachel was forced to do petty parlor tricks, cons, and palm-reading to help her family get by. Rachel hated her life. She wanted money, renown, and to be able to enjoy the best food and sleep in the softest bed. One day, she met a duchess her age who was visiting with her servant in the streets, and the two became fast friends. The duchess was entranced by Rachel's budding magical skills. She was invited to her castle many times, participating in games, sleepovers, swimming, showing off tricks to the other girl's friends. The two became inseparable, and as Rachel became a teenager, she spent less and less time with her family. Eventually, there was a brutal hunt for all those in France believed to be practicing witches, and many of the women in Rachel's family were burned at the stake. Rachel's best friend protected her, not wanting her to die. She kept Rachel's magic a secret. Eventually, the only remaining witches in the family alive were Rachel and her sister. Out of anger and revenge, Rachel's sister cursed her, so that whenever she used any of her magic, she would become younger. Out of guilt, Rachel has since dedicated herself to the protection of the rights of magical creatures. She spent a lot part of her life, up to the present, as a Magical defense Attorney.
- Skills and Abilities: Rachel's magical abilities have to be prepared for use by ingesting certain materials, as well as proper verbal incantation. Once she has used a specific kind of spell, she can't use that same spell again for 12 hours. In addition, she also has a Curse: Rachel is permanently cursed so that every time she uses any of her magic, she becomes younger by half a year.
- Elemental Magic: Rachel is a Mistress of channeling the elements and bending them to her will. Fire, Water, Lightning, the Earth, Wind and all those between the five. She can harness the elemental powers as she wishes.
- Summoning Magic: Sacrificing a little of her own blood, Rachel can summon magical creatures, animals, or really anyone if she has a bit of their DNA. The more blood she gives into the summon, the bigger the creature she can bring in.
- Illusion Magic: Rachel can create illusions both physical and audial, as long as she mentally maintains them.
- Astral Projection: Rachel can meditate and leave her own body as an intangible soul that can fly anywhere and see anything, but not interact.
- Spell and Potion Knowledge: She has a wealth of knowledge related to different spells and potions that need ingredients and time to prepare, such as Invisibility, Love and Truth potions.
- Possessions and Assets: A beautiful penthouse overlooking the city, two expensive sports cars, a wealth of magical tomes and history books in her private study, a reserve of magical materials and ingredients, and a long list of built up contacts from her work as a witch and a magical attorney.

I figured this was obvious from my signup, but I just thought I'd declare it now in case there's anything that needs to be worked out in advance: Maria has the lineage of a mage, coming from her grandmother's side of the family and skipping over her (non-magical) parents. This was the reason why her grandmother sent her to Volwick, and why she has unusual dreams.
Sometime early on in the game, I suspect she will become aware of her power. I'm leaving out the precise specifics of what she will be able to do so that it goes better with the story (I'll run it by Daltar when the time comes), but even after she comes into her power, it will be at a low level, befitting a new practitioner.
First they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. Then they fight you. Then you win.

Here we go.
