Iris nervously shook the newcomer's hand. Dia saying that Iris' wings reminded her of an angel instantly reminded her of how her father Stormer liked to call her "his little angel".
"Y-yes, my wings are r-real...", she stammered out, "I'm a f-falcon Faunus, you see..."
"Never let anyone tell you that something is impossible." - Monty Oum, 1981-2015Dia finishes shaking Iris' hand. "That's a nice gift you have. I've heard about Faunus but was never able to meet one in real life. You sure are special indeed."
Inside her head: ( OMG! I think she can fly with those!!!)
Congrats Iris, you gave her a good impression of Faunus. =)
...eheh"W-well, your partner looks l-like a fox Faunus...and t-there's plenty of o-other Faunus in this d-dorm...like my partner M-Morgan...", Iris replied.
"Never let anyone tell you that something is impossible." - Monty Oum, 1981-2015James just felt worse when Ozpin showed up. To the principal, it was probably casual announcing the changes to the team-name and that people were being 'replaced', the blue-haired youth did his best to keep a straight face, although Fe punching him in the shoulder quickly brought him back to reality.
"O-Oh, um, r-right, yes, i-it's nice to meet you, um, too, Miss Fe..." He stuttered, nervously adjusting his glasses and taking a deep breath.
...Okay, you can do this, just...get through the introductions and we'll be alright...
That Merrick guy still seemed to be off elsewhere. Definitely not the best first impression, but it wasn't exactly something of a priority of things to worry about at this stage as he turned his attention to the newest team-mate. It was certainly an interesting change, going from not giving much of a damn to the idea of being on a team...to sort of making a big deal out of Iris' wings.
"W-W-Well, um, i-it's...nice to meet you Miss Dia. I-I'm sure you'll f-fit in just fine, r-really. E-Everyone's...p-pretty friendly." The young man replied, trying to keep up a polite smile.
Hope you weren't expecting anything witty here. Maybe some day.Dia replied to James: " Pleased to meet you, team leader James. I hope that I can get together well with the others.". She also then gives him an encouraging glance to boost his confidence.
That was Dia's feelings on the outside. Inside, her thoughts start taking a strange turn. ( "My gosh, I'm not the leader? This is disappointing, but I will have to make do.")

...ehehBrightening up, if only slightly, James nodded. "O-Of course. I-I mean, w-we're all on e-equal footing here, a-and we'll, I-I'm sure everything w-will be alright a-and the thre...um, f-four of us w-will be a great team. K-Kind of missing someone at the moment, you see..."
The boy did his best to keep up his fake smile, although there was something about Dia that sent a chill down his spine.
...It's probably nothing, but...
Hope you weren't expecting anything witty here. Maybe some day."I agree with you, sir. Here's hoping that our team can get along.". Dia extends her hand to shake James'.
Dia then notices the Fox Faunus near James. "Good day, miss Fe. We're team members, I suppose. I'm sure that both of us can make great partners." ( "Oh my, she has Fox ears! I guess she's a Faunus too. Whoa, this sure is interesting!")

...ehehVending Machines Close To Training Area
There was a rumble in Gage's stomach, just as he finished his carton of chocolate milk. He gave the vending machines a thoughtful look before shaking his head.
"Now if you don't mind, I think I'll swing by the kitchen again, see if there's more fruit." Maybe someone will also know where students' vehicles are kept. Damn, this place is huge.
Curiously, Gage picked up the litter he made and disposed of them in the proper receptacles. He flashed Suzune and Amethyst a winning grin. "If you need anything, look me up. I won't let you down."
He left them at that, with a cheery wave as he headed back to the kitchen, hands in his pockets.
Kitchen/Dining Area, A Few Minutes Later
Gage sauntered back through the doors, in time to see everyone cleaning up stains of red that drenched everything. Even his shoes were sloshing in red liquid just somewhat thicker than water.
"Someone die in here or what? Oh, hey Prof. Oz!" He greeted the white-haired headmaster in his beautiful green coat.

Oh, goodie, look who came back...
If Croire was a bit shaken by Merrick's sudden appearance, he was masking it quite well as he nodded in his team-mate's direction.
"...more along the lines...of a practical joke, really...also, probably some bad news...for you, although you...likely already know it, if Ozpin filled you in." He calmly commented, glancing around the room again.
Hope you weren't expecting anything witty here. Maybe some day."I must be going now.", Ozpin said, "I have business to attend to."
And with that, the headmaster had left the dorm and was headed back for his office.

Gage looked at Croire. Then Fe. Lastly, Dia, whom he favored with a wink, a grin, and that annoying double finger gun gesture. "Everyone calls me Gage. Don't see a point in changing that."
"So we're a team? That's neat." He pounded his chest twice and thrust his fist at James. "I'll try not to cramp your style, Mr. Stutters."

Dia acts as polite as possible to greet the final member of her team. "Nice to meet you, Gage. I hope we can make a good team."
Her inner feelings were a whole different story. Mainly because she had never seen that gesture before, the informalness of Gage's actions, and also the fact that he just called James "Mr Stutters". ( "My gosh, really?" -rolls eyes, internally-)

...ehehNodding in reply to Gage, the blue-haired youth gave another weak smile and blinking in surprise at his fist, looking confused.
"...Um, firstly...yes, that's...correct. Secondly...I don't think you have t-to...worry about t-that, I'm more likely, to, um, 'cramp people's...style'. And lastly, um...if you're going to p-punch someone, you might...want to aim for their face."
...Poor kid, he had no idea what Gage was doing with that fist-bump gesture and had gotten the wrong idea entirely.

"Not so much as a new face as a bunch'a new faces," Gage told the newcomer before facing his team, James Croire in particular.
"Man, you are an awkward nerd, ain'tcha?" Gage loosed a short bark of laughter before leaning in and draping his arm over James' shoulders, the way an overly-friendly big brother would to a younger sibling.
"Ain't he just adorable, kids? And apparently, he cooks up a storm!"
It was then retrospect sunk in.
"... Is that a hoverboard?"

James was about to retort that he wasn't a nerd, or...awkward, but the moment Gage just placed his arm on his shoulders and leaned a bit too close, he just froze, face bright red from embarrassment.
And, well, with the 'praise' and laughter, he just lowered his head, blushing even more and unable to even SPEAK, doing his best to avoid eye-contact for now.

Hope you weren't expecting anything witty here. Maybe some day."Selene you better not try to eat all the damn bacon again." Came Scarlet's voice from the hall as she entered the room, heading towards the coffee machine. "I'll fight you or anyone else that eats all the bacon like some kinda fatty." She teased, pouring herself a cup of the brown liquid.
-dramatic music ensues-Dia looked at the increasingly-embarrassed James and realized what's going on. Gage's friendly actions had inadvertently got James into a rather awkward spot.
"Gage, I know your actions are friendly, but they seem to be embarrassing James. It appears that he doesn't like being touched..."
She then notices Selene and Scarlet in a rather tense situation, and got one hand ready to use her Semblance. If a fight could break out anytime, she would have to make sure there would be as little harm to her and her team as possible.
...eheh

A green haired teenager in noble shirt and skirt walks into the room, with a rather stoic expression on her face. Her hair was tied in a long ponytail, and she wore some jewel accessories. The others can see her holding a faintly glowing crystal in her hands, as well as a strange-looking "double belt" around her waist.
She sees the others doing the kitchen work, curtseys, and simply lets out a rather emotionless "Hello there. I'm Lady Rayfer. Pleased to meet you all. I sincerely hope that we can be a good team."
The kitchen (and everyone in it) was drenched in red substance that appeared to look like blood, but Dia wasn't visibly shaken at all. Inside, she was screaming a bit, until she noticed that that didn't smell like blood or smear like blood.
"Sigh... did some kind of prank go on here?"
Dia notices the bird Faunus walk up to her and introduce herself. Immediately, she notices the Faunus' wings, and is fascinated by them. Due to living a rather sheltered lifestyle, this has been the first time she's seen somebody with wings, and had no ill intent towards any Faunus.
Inside her mind, Dia was going "Oh my gosh, she has wings! That is super awesome, are you an angel? Cool! I've never seen something like this before!"
Outside her mind, Dia said to Iris. "Nice to meet you, Iris. Are those wings of yours real? They remind me of an angel". She then extends her hand to shake Iris', not caring much about the "blood" on her.
She's wearing a skirt for now, that will change later
