YOU SAYIN' I LIKE DUD-I mean, what?
"That's not what I was getting-" He tried to reply but she had left by then. Marvin stood there for a second before throwing himself onto the couch, a hand to his forehead as he stared up at the ceiling. Damn it. Way to go dumbass. Probably the fastest you've made anyone an enemy... He thought to himself in self-loathing.
"I am nature's weapon. You are unfit to carry on your species, and I shall ensure that you do not do so!" - Charles Darwin, XCOM SniperFollowing Diana
Selene had hastily made her way across the campus (inciting a few odd looks as she crossed in naught but her bedsheet) and found her way into Diana's room.
Slipping on the decidedely frilly panties and bra, she looked at her sisters wardrobe curiously to see if there was anything that WASN'T baggy and shy girl like. Well there was her nurse outfit, but that was just asking for trouble. Eventually she decided, putting on one of Diana's other outfits and making her way back just in time to see her twin being dragged off by James along with her sisters competition. If I can't get a date today, then I'll make sure that Di's goes well. Its the least I can do as her sister :3. So here she is, hiding at the back of the bus, a newspaper in front of her face like one of those old pprivate detective movies that grandma Lupa loves so much, spying on her sister.
James tilted his head. "Y-You mean you've never gone to the City w-with other people, friends and shopping, or, um, is it s-something else? Because I've never r-really gone s-shopping or gone to the city before myself, a-actually..."

Hope you weren't expecting anything witty here. Maybe some day.The human frowned slightly. He wasn't quite sure what exactly to do except try and smile.
"Not much o-of a city person? Or d-didn't get to hang out w-with people much? I-I mean, you don't have to a-answer the question, b-but, well, I sort of k-know what the second one is like." He quietly replied, looking a bit uneasy.
Hope you weren't expecting anything witty here. Maybe some day....deep breaths.
"Tasha, can't you... like, go with someone else?" Remington responded to the other girl, trying his best so that his smile doesn't come off as too standoffish and fake. "Just... just today? There are already many groups you can join with."
And then Scarlet and Marv had their argument, culminating with the redhead storming off and the fellow grayhair looking... actually miserable. "...hold on a second." He gave Lena a quick hug and Nat a warning glance, the one that said "please don't touch" before following his second-in-command.
...yup. I'm a team leader, all things considered. Need to help with these things as much as I can.
"O-oi..." He caught up with Scarlet, a little out of breath and... not really aware where they were at the moment. "Spare a minute?"
Lena frowned and took deep breaths. This...this...she was planning murder in her head now. Oh, how she loathed...ah, shiznit. Stay calm.
"Nat. You are not going to ruin today for me."
Diana forced a smile at James's words but otherwise didn't say anything. When Ao spoke, she couldn't help but listen. Wow, she was just as awkward as she and James were. She felt...empathy. Sure, they were rivals, but that didn't mean they couldn't be friends. As long as she didn't get too intimate with James.
"U-um, James, m-might I suggest that we...umm...er...find something to...um...do...as a group? L-like a ride or a game in the festival..."
Raggy didn't even flinch when Scarlet was this close from hitting him. He knew that picture all too well.
"...it's... probably not my place to speak, but I don't think Marv meant you any offense." He started, trying to keep his tone on the level and more politely neutral than anything else. Such an arduous task, this was. "He definitely didn't mean to belittle your accomplishments. It was just..." He cringed a little. "a cock-measuring contest in his eyes."
"I understand that you're angry at him. Probably would be the same if someone told me that the thugs I laid down back in a time were of no importance, but... he didn't mean offense. I mean, he likes you a lot from what I get." Long sigh. "...you can punch me now." He added with a forced chuckle.
Scarlet wanted to accept her team leader's offer. It was rare that people said you could hit them and they genuinely meant it. It would be easy, he's standing a foot behind me. A half step and a pivot and I can throw some real weight into the punch. Tempting... Scarlet took a deep breath and counted to ten. "I-Thank you, for the concern, Rags. I'll be fine. I'm going to go out for the day and probably the night. If I'm not back by noon tomorrow don't worry, It just means I got lucky and couldn't escape from the cuddling."
The biker quickly hurried off to their room to get changed so she could escape. I've got to get out of here before I hurt one of them.
-dramatic music ensues-Luckily for Raggy, Scarlet's room was also his and he needed to look presentable for his date anyway.
"...I mean it." He spoke quietly as he followed her, once inside the SSMR room quickly changing himself while consciously averting all gazes from his teammate's frame. "I don't want you to feel uncomfortable within your own team and your own dorm. I know Marv is a handful and there's a couple more people out there that can be tough to get along with, but we're all companions and friends here at the end of the day."
"...actually, maybe you can tag along with me and Lena?" He suggested with a small grin as he put on a checkered yellow-and-black shirt. "I don't think she'd mind and hey, being all alone on Lovers' Day sounds like a really bad deal." He chuckled a little, just hoping that she won't haymaker him for the suggestion.
James seemed a bit surprised that there was mention of a festival, hesitating for a few seconds and nodded...not really buying Diana's smile. He wasn't really sure what to do to help aside from patting her on the head. All he could do was to continue holding her hand.
"W-W-Well, a-as soon as we get my s-scroll, sure. I-I mean, I haven't been to a festival e-either, but I'm s-sure we could figure s-something out, I mean, t-there's going to be p-plenty to do there, right?" Croire smiled, trying to sound positive.
"...besides, if I get a scroll, we can talk at a distance after, um, c-curfew, too." He quietly remarked, trying to cheer her up.
Hope you weren't expecting anything witty here. Maybe some day.Scarlet considered the myriad ways in which she had miscalculated her escape while she changed. "Yeah I know you're all friends here, Rags." Of course seems like you all have been friends from birth what with your parents, I'm outside the group, as usual. "I'm not really as uncomfortable as you think." She lied, doing a decent job to cover up the deception.
She was just lacing up her boots when what Remington had said about Lover's day registered, and this time she did hit him, a solid but not harmful slap upside the head. "You idiot, of course she'll care. Everyone wants to be treated right by their date on Lover's day, so for the love of Dust; don't invite me or anyone else along, don't scare her with a ride on the motorcycle and don't skimp out on dinner."
Scarlet finished getting her clothes on and headed towards the room exit. "Now enjoy your date and I'll probably be here when you wake up tomorrow."

-dramatic music ensues-"...I'm heading out to look for you if you aren't." Raggy responded with a chuckle, flinching just a little from the slap. Once she left he kept up his smile a little longer before collapsing on his bed with a groan.
"...great. Can't even do that much." He mumbled into his pillow, feeling the increasing self-loathing. "Great job, Headmaster, assigning someone like me to lead anything." At this point he was just vocalizing his thoughts for everyone to hear. Not like there was anyone else to eavesdrop on him.
Lena would likely notice that Raggy's not coming back. Either Scarlet laid him off with a straight or something else could have happened to him...
Diana smiled again, this time genuinely. "Oh, don't worry about me, James...I...um, I'm j-just being s-silly. Don't mind me."
She sighed. Well, her date plans were gone but she needed to stop moping right now. "I..umm, think that Miss Ao needs...um...us more. She, um, looks like she really needs friends."
She couldn't help saying "us" instead of "you". Because she still wasn't going to let her be alone with James.
Lena frowned and began looking for her boyfriend. When she found him, she looked at him with a sort-of worried/angry glare.
"...That look on your face. You're moping. Spill."

"...w-well, of course I'm going to worry about you. I wouldn't e-exactly be able to..." He cuts himself short, going red and looking to the side. "I-I wouldn't be much of a f-friend if I didn't worry about you, Diana." Croire quietly remarks, looking shy again.
He looked conflicted and a bit hurt, but not from Diana's words as the human did his best to force a smile.
"H-Hey, I-I think the t-three of us would b-be a lot better if we could m-make friends. And, um, w-well..."
James just looked down. ...he couldn't say it.
Hope you weren't expecting anything witty here. Maybe some day.Lena came to look for him. Of course she would. They were a pair after all.
"...just... thinking that Headmaster made a mistake somewhere." He grumbled, turning to look at her. He tried to smile, but it came out more like a grimace. "We're not even a month since Initiation and people already jump at each other's throats... and I can't do a thing. How am I supposed to be a leader of anything?" He shook his head with a sad chuckle.
Lena sighed. Then, she took her boyfriend's hands. "Raggy, of course people are arguing. We're bloody teenagers."
She smiled. "And from what I've heard, this sort of thing is nothing compared to the shiznit the old folks had to go through."
"Look, Ozpin didn't make a mistake. So what if we're not getting along? That's normal! We're still getting used to each other. The only thing we can do is to keep trying to reach out. We'll get there eventually."
Diana frowned. She had noticed the strange tone in James's voice.
"Umm...er, James? Is something wrong?"
On the Bus
The bus had started moving and Mefus essentually blocked out the awkwardness as she played on her scroll, as it started to get closer to the city proper she said,
"Okay, done, I just adjusted my pre-order. We have tickets and meal tickets for the fair for four instead of three, lets see, I changed the appointment for the mani-pedi's to three pm to adjust for perceived time for a four person day, and I was able to do a double entry into tonight's dance competition, that's at six by the way. It's couples, but that's cool, I can enter with Ao."
Leaning forward she held her scroll out for everyone to see,
"It's pretty loose otherwise, that way we'll have time to see everything. We want to avoid key areas though to avoid being bogged down, at least not until later tonight. Anyway, I think we're almost here, I'll text you the info once we activate your scroll James, and oh."
She paused and smiled,
"I don't have your guys number, that's no good, we want to be able to coordinate if we seperate."
"...I suppose you're right, but..." Raggy looked away, further thinking. "I just don't know. I don't really have the qualities of a leader. I can't quite do it as well as, say, James or you."
"...I'm just shouting a lot." He chuckled, hugging her. "I suppose I need to get better at it. Being a leader, that is."

"And it's usually me who's being a sappy romantic." He chuckled softly, kissing her neck. "...hey, how about we just stay here for today? Everybody out, just the two of us, for the whole day. Sounds as good for a date as anything else."
"Unless, of course, you want to go to the parade so much. Then who am I to resist you?" He grinned, now placing a kiss on her cheek.
Ao really thought she could do it this time. Maybe she could stand Lovers day if it were just James and Mefus there but this cat. This cat was something. She felt like giving that pussy a good hard pounding, but instead she just spoke up. "You are being silly. I'm not that fragile." she practically growled out.

James smiled and nodded. "Why w-wouldn't I ask you? I v-value your opinion and suggestions since, y-you know, it's more fun if we do things you'd want to do. I-I mean, well, we've got all d-day to do whatever in t-the city, after all."
...Is she okay? I don't think I've seen her this flustered and unsure. I-Is it my fault?
Hope you weren't expecting anything witty here. Maybe some day.
