I know. But people are feeling confident for this date, especially as a prominent "insider" has made statements regarding an upcoming direct.
King Zell, a ResetEra user with a near-spotless track record regarding Nintendo, teased something would happen on the 13th.

Here's a summary of the full bomb of info from various insiders from that same thread:
- Direct next week (13th).
- Metroid Prime Trilogy, Mario Maker 2, Pikmin 3 port and Box Boy! are happening (the former will possibly be in the Direct).
- Doubled down on 2D Zelda.
- Pikmin 4 restarted development at some point.
- Third-Party support will improve this year; especially Japanese stuff. Some unpredictable surprises as well.
- Nate specifically mentioned that Kingdom Hearts was being tested/considered. Not 3 though.

Days is a top-tier game that not many people played, so that'd be sweet. Super unlikely, but sweet.
I think ports of the HD ReMIXs are more likely.

If we're going to get anything Kingdom Hearts related, it will likely be the complete compilation The Story So Far, which yes, does include just the movies for 358/2 Days, re:Coded, and χ Back Cover.

If true I'd be very much down for a Pikmin 3 port. I love it but it's burdened by the Wii U's bad controls and gamepad.

In general, I find it hard to believe anything saying "new Pokemon announcement"; TPC seems to prefer doing their own specific presentations for such things, rather than being grouped in to general directs.

I wouldn't be surprised if Gen 8 gets announced in the very near future, though. They did tease that it would be coming out this year when they announced Let's Go P/E, and it's around when the time of the year they announced Sun/Moon a couple of years ago.

It probably won't be until March. The Let's Go games are still selling well enough that I don't think they want to step on their toes just yet.

If I recall, no Pokemon game has ever made its premiere on a general Nintendo direct, so I don't expect the potential "February 13th" direct to make any mention of such a game.

Joker is a bit iffy. I could see Atlus asking Nintendo to hold back Joker gameplay until the next Persona 5 OVA in March (where they are also planning to give more info on P 5 R), but regardless, I expect some Smash info, likely the next fighter after Joker.
As for Pokemon, Pokemon Day is on February 27th, which is two weeks after the rumored date. It's much more likely gen 8 info will be there.
