Wait, no talk of the new Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game thread? I am disappoint. ;(
AO 3 profile: goodygoody19It might be talked about in the Pokemon thread.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!
x3 There isn't really that much info to discuss right now, plus that thread gets sidetracked really easily by random stuff like competitive questions and arguments about whether a flower fairy or a T-Rex is cuter.
Honestly, most RPGs are pretty boring at the beginning because there's very little you can do, few abilities you have, either too much or not enough direction, etc. A demo for an RPG just seems like it would enhance these qualities, since you barely have a chance to do anything that would be cool to do in an RPG, if you have that chance at all.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.IMO the BD demo isn't particularly indicative of the game itself, since it's pretty much just 20 Bear Asses quests in a very restricted area of the game, something the actual game never stoops to. Going by it alone, I could see how a lot of people would be turned off the game.
Second's demo adds some of the Asterisk bosses that people love Default for and is a little more story oriented, so maybe give that one a try when it hits the western E-shop.
I'm kinda surprised they still haven't started doing them yet, either. I mean, they probably halted them out of respect for Mr. Iwata, but I would have thought they had started doing them again already.

"Hey, least I didn't lose all my artistic talent when I crash landed in the arena here."Truthfully, even though he seemed to moving away from Directs (obviously in preparation for his death) I'm wondering if they've given up on the directs entirely due to Iwata passing away.
Maybe someone in the company never liked them, and is using Iwata's demise to cut the fat?
.....Or maybe I'm being far too cynical.
One Strip! One Strip!Directs will be back. NOA already confirmed it via interviews and new hires. They just don't feel like all their small news of filler games and updates/DLC to existing ones are worth reviving them for. They probably don't want another big Direct like event until they have something big to show (aka NX). Smash DLC might get something like Robin/Lucina did, but that's it for the year.
As for the upcoming meeting, I mostly care about that mobile game they're supposed to unveil and release this year. Still betting on Nintendogs. The Club Nintendo replacement is also interesting, but that might have been delayed.
DeNA project updates tomorrow.

Nintendo Directs will be remodeled coming next year
We are still expected one Direct towards the end of the year.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre Adventure

That explains it. I've never cared for FF so that's probably why I didn't think it looked interesting.
