People are going to regret not paying attention to Nat in this particular instance...

Also, supporting character go!

  • Name: Esmeralda Rotica
  • Gender: Female
  • Age: 39
  • Race: Half-butterfly/Half-octopus faunus
  • Appearance: You would make an excellent story~
  • Personality: The quietest, cutest, moeiest bug of them all. Esmeralda is very calm, and often comes across as being apathetic or non-emotional. She just daydreams a lot, and often speaks in strange quotes and non-sequiturs. Usually double entendres. She thinks about stories that she can invent and create all the time, and sees everyone as potential characters and drama to build. She sees romances and pairings everywhere, and creates them, vocally, on a whim. She often things about very sadistic and dark things, but speaks of them sweetly and innocently, as if they are just a part of the world. When she is angered, her Tranquil Fury is unmatched.
  • Weapon: Golden Eggs Not really a weapon, more of a tool specifically designed for Esmeralda. Pairs of small golden balls made of a special metallic polymer blasted with gold Dust many times over. They respond only to Esmeralda's touch. She can have them float in her hands, or she can crush them into Dust and spread out the particles. When crushed, they have many special properties, such as taking voice and video recordings, scanning and tracing areas for heat signatures, and the direct transferal of objects and large bodies of water, as they are able to hold much more on the inside their their size denotes. The balls have the ability to change their state in her hands, easily shifting between solid, liquid and even gaseous, and everything in between, such as a sticky goo or paste. Esmeralda almost always has a pair in her hands, as she likes to roll them around in her fingers for a calming effect. Crushing them in her hands is a therapeutic alternative to outbursts when angry.
  • Semblance: Esmeralda can change her age at will, retaining some memories and personality. The younger she is, the more creative. The older, the wiser.
  • Bio: Esmeralda became a freshman at Beacon the year that Alexia and the others in the White Rose Dorm became Seniors. As a childhood, Esmeralda was always prone to flights of fancy and daydreaming, devising stories and wild ideas. She got into trouble all the time due to lying. As a teenager, she was disliked and often bullied by others for her strange behavior, often considered perverted, creating stories and art of her peers and fellow students, those she did so out of abmiration. Esmeralda was the most written author on Sophie's site beaconfiction.net. Coming out of Beacon, Esmeralda went on to become a wildly successful novel writer, her primary genre being erotic romance stories with surreal plots and tons of character development, dealing with very dark themes. After her first best-seller, she bought the beaconfiction.net site from Sophie for 10 million dollars. To this day, she is the most successful author of the modern age. She has recently been making the newsrounds for the first book in a controversial series about the explicit romances between Grimm and humans.

Yes, this is the author Maren talks about~

...Sorry if I sound like I'm trying to ruin your fun, but aren't you supposed to wait until Grim gives the go-ahead before you use the worldbuilding in the game?

...Kinda have to agree with Aqua on this one, especially with the 'hide underwear all over school' part is a bit much for when the event was only really announced in-universe...I dunno, about an hour ago?

Croire: ...um, that...and you kind of...can't actually...access some students...belongings. ...especially if said...things are locked with a 5 digit...lock.

...That's a bit excessive, isn't it?

Croire: ...

Hope you weren't expecting anything witty here. Maybe some day.

Uh, yeah, what Wren said, it's probably not too much of a good idea to derail what Grim was working on there.

Didn't Grim say every one was in charge of this one, multiple times or something?

As such I would think as long as we got a majority concencus on whatever we are worldbuilding, and it did not affect the other beacons.

Also, it's already been explictly stated that the Panty Raid is a tradition, always done on the first friday of the school year. So Nat would already know about it, and she has the kind of personality that is always trying to make things more interesting.

If you really feel the need to make things more boring, then I don't see why you can't just have your character have some kind of lock system for their underwear.

But then that would also basically make them unable to play the game anyway since someone can't steal locked away underwear. I would imagine that it would be against Ozpin's rules to keep your underwear locked where no one but you could ever access them.

...I was talking about how you had Esmeralda pop in right after you put her sheet up. I didn't even know about Nat's little plan until after people pointed it out — I was in Math class.

Also, like I said earlier, I wasn't trying to ruin your fun. I just don't want you to get in trouble. (>__>)

Doens't the change in plan, you know ruin the major part of the fun which was boys vs girls?

I mean, I know Aqua and Stormer were planing on having MISN fortify which kinda screws them over.

Seems like the kinda thing that should have been discussed with every one first no offence.

I think it's funny that MISN is guarding empty drawers.

I don't see how this stops it from still being boys vs girls.

It was either going to be this, or have Nat already collected all the underwear and shoot them off of the roof as soon as the contest starts, so it's raining underwear and there is a big brawl for them.

Here's an idea: Make it a gathering contest/treasure hunt.

Boys vs girls. Find as many panties as possible. Team with the most "spoils" wins.

...Hm? In case you didn't notice my last page before it got wrapped around, Saturn, I decided to do something different with Croire saying before he left to see Ozpin that he wasn't too bothered about his underwear being stolen because it wouldn't be embarrassing, so he left something different with it in his place.

...I was mostly making my previous post pointing out that having a character that can do ANYTHING just because they SAY so and likely against some players wishes is not exactly fun. It's like one of those bad fights where a person goes 'You get hit by this attack because I say so and there's nothing you can do about it'.

But again, I'm not really going to bother with it, if it's what people want, go for it. Kinda throws a wrench in my own plans, but that ain't too big of a deal anyways.

Hope you weren't expecting anything witty here. Maybe some day.

First, no one just randomly checks there drawrs.

Second, we dont even know if Grim is okay with this bit, since he IS the one running this bit.

And even if we went the vote method, we don't know what the general concencus is, and I know I am personally not okay with the new one. :/

Well, any plans to fortify are now null and void if Nat had already raided all rooms.

...I'd fancy a brawl over briefs and panties though.

It's NOTHING like powergaming and being OP, Wren. Nat made a conscious tactical decision, completely within the realm of possibility and within her character.

I agree with Sven.

How about this? We make everyone's panties grouped into a fixed position, which I will list for every character. IE., Lena's panties are in the freeze of the lounge. Raggy's underwear are on the roof.

And then make it a hunt.

Yeah, Sat, nothing against you. I kinda like the idea actually, but if you had just waited and got everyone on board before doing something like that it would have gone over a lot more smoothly.

So you think you could just hold off and wait to see what everyone says about it? Or at least Grim.

I think Wren's problem is more that you've unilaterally decided to derail the whole event, in a way no one can really object IC, without consulting Grim or the other players, as far I know. :/

What derail? The event still happens, and it's more fun.

Nat didn't ruin the Panty Raid, she improved it.

Halle checked hers because she was explicitly trying to cheat, which is how she figured it out. Otherwise nobody else would know, though I suppose another prank would just be to break into MISN's room and steal their drawers.

Imca (Veteran)
#2475: Mar 5th 2015 at 9:39:37 AM

Yes, she did ruin it for some people, especially more mechanically/trap/defensively oriented teams.

This is why you need to consult people, not every one has the same ideas of improvement.

Persionaly I was looking foward to this event until well this, which is kinda rare for me and something that is nothing but fan service. :/
