NOTE - Report bugs along with your browser/version, operating system/version, and device. There are thousands of these combinations, and most bugs right now only affect certain combinations.
Tropers - As you are probably well aware by now, we've made a ton of changes to TV Tropes. Although most of the changes you see are primarily cosmetic, we are also part way through a complete overhaul of the backend code. With so many changes under the hood, it is entirely possible we broke a few things. If you find something that does not appear to be working correctly, this is the place to report it.
Please note, this thread is for BUGS only! If you have an idea, wish, or anything to say that is not related to a bug, please do not post it here. Those things can all be posted and discussed on other threads in Wiki Talk or the Tech Wishlist.
The more information you can provide about the bug (e.g., browser, operating system, etc.) and how to re-create it, the more likely we will be able to squash it.
Happy Troping!
EDIT: Here are some things that have been reported:
- Login issues
- Logins not sticking between devices
- Some people are still having issues with dropped logins.
- You can't log in if your username contains a space. Remove the space.
- Javascript: Your device must be able to run Javascript from tvtropes.org, static.tvtropes.org, ajax.googleapis.com, and netdna.bootstrapcdn.com. If you are blocking any of these, lots of things won't work, like editing pages.

I just posted about that a little bit ago. It seems to be happening mostly to subpages, but not all of them (My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic - General works, for one). I don't currently know if it's happening to any of the recs pages that aren't subpages.

Always think outside the box. Because the box is full of scorpions.@165 - Septimus, how do you mean you can edit redirects using the address bar? I tried entering the URL for editing a redirect manually into the address bar and it still sent me straight to the page to which the redirect is pointing. Again, not even to an edit window for that page, but to the page itself. (For the record, I'm using Firefox 34.0.5.)
It's been said before, it's now being said again, this has killed wick namespace migration stone dead until it can be resolved.
Just randomly logged me out on my laptop browser; was able to log back in, though.

Contact Me!Having the same log in issues as everyone else, regardless of what device, operating system or browser I've been using.
There's no log-in option on my Android (Galaxy S3) phone. I have to trigger a 'log in or register' request (by trying to edit a page or add something to the Watchlist) before I can get hold of a log in link to attempt to log in.
If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading. The new setup for quotes pages has a pretty bad issue: if you decide to use \\ to break up a quote from being a block of text, it'll treat the second part as a separate quote. As an example, check out Quotes.Beware The Nice Ones and look down to a quote from Manchester Lost.
Can a Mod remove Giant Flyer, Are These Wires Important? and the related discussion pages from my watchlist. I'd do it myself, but apparently despite the fact that I need to log in to even view my watchlist in the first place, It wants me to log in again to drop pages off it.

Hey, the Stalk-O-Matic (AKA Find Post By Troper searchbar) is back!
And it's actually just a redundant Forum Title searchbar that searches for the word "blank" like it thinks it's clever if the Forum Title bar is left empty.
i care but i'm restless, i'm here but i'm really gone, i'm wrong and i'm sorry, babyOn iPhone: Clicking the 'log in' button simply refreshes the page without actually logging in. (Which is weird, because yesterday I was able to post from it
, and I didn't have to log-in because it accepted my cookie from before the site change.)
On computer: I'm getting an advertising redirect I haven't seen before. It's pretty infrequent, but it's enough for me to notice it's the same site. ERROR: The current state of the world is unacceptable. Save anyway? YES/NOI think this is related, so I apologise if it's not.
Right now I only see the search functions for the forums for thread titles and by tropers' handles when I post a comment, and trying either results in seemingly random results.
Say I search for a troper's posts, it doesn't result in their posts there, and seemingly comes up with a whole load of random results unrelated to their posts.
EDIT: Wait, it seems to be that if I look up a Troper's name (Let's say I want to look up Septimus), it won't go by the fact that I types in Septimus, it goes by the first box. So whatever I put in the first box it will search for, no matter what I type in the second, and the fact I click on the second's search button.

"Did you expect somebody else?"Firefox keeps crashing on me, so if you could possibly fix whatever keeps the site from working right on the Samsung Galaxy SII's default webapp, I'd appreciate it.
On the default browser, everything south of the top blue bar is crammed into an impossibly thin column on the right side of the page. Messing with the webapp's settings doesn't seem to fix it; I think the stuff suddenly broke out of the column and went where it was supposed to be for a half second at one point, but it didn't last.
i care but i'm restless, i'm here but i'm really gone, i'm wrong and i'm sorry, babyI'm not sure if this is just some sort of plugin I have on my computer I'm unaware of or the site itself, but almost every time I want to look something up in the search bar and often when I click on articles, I'm automatically linked to lemonade.mgz (or something like that) on some random article about weight loss or IQ. It's getting very irksome for doing simple things.
"i guess you could say my life's a mess. but i'm still looking pretty in this dress."

is it just me or do the fanfiction recs sections don't show at all? there's nothing displayed there when you click at them
