Reading the near-endgame of Battle City (only missing volume 24.) Kaiba tells Ishizu he’s not a murderer when preparing an escape for Yugi and friends, which I found funny because of Death-T. XD I think everyone but Joey kinda glossed over that post-Mind Crush aside from the obligatory 'Oh no!' when he reappeared..
The Protomen enhanced my life. The new movie version of Blue eyes has a pretty big buff, I recall.
I wonder how the previous protagonists of Yu Gi Oh would react to the action of Duels of Arc-V and realize that by then, Action duels are basically commonplace Shadow Games that's done by common people instead of special chosen duelists like in past entries...

Watch SymphogearI think a problem DSOD has is that the movie doesn’t really say why Kaiba’s doing what he does, just what his end goal is and how he plans to accomplish it. Transcend Game didn’t say why either.
In Battle City
Kaiba wanted to beat Yugi to destroy his past and shed light on his future, using hatred as his power source. Yami Yugi wanted him to defeat his hatred/madness and told him so after he won, and Kaiba wondered if he’d ever fully be able to let go of it and what to do afterward.
Transcend Game/DSOD Kaiba also wanted to be the King of Duelists and beat the Pharaoh, but unlike BC Kaiba he didn’t say why.
EDIT: I also realized how similar Kaiba and Marik's backstories are.

The Protomen enhanced my life.
Blue eyes is power, but Red-Eyes is potential as they say.
So think they'll create Synchro, XYZ and Pendulum versions of Blue and Red Eyes?
One Strip! One Strip!
Actually, I was talking about upgrades.
Didn't know they had some already though, so it's cool.
So, with Arc V well into it's story (and possibly the final arc) I gotta ask:
What's the overall opinion on Pendulum anyway? I find it interesting. It works as it's own archetype, but can also be used with most other types of summoning as well. Not to mention having usable continuous magic cards on the field at all times, and a good way to summon multiple monsters at once provided you get the right cards in your hand.
One Strip! One Strip!I found a 3-part translation of an interview from a Yu-Gi-Oh guidebook that came out just after Battle City finished. I also found one from TIME Magazine, and another from Shonen Jump in 2004!

Blue-Eyes is simply more consistent than Red-Eyes and would generally wreck Red-Eyes, in my experience.

Opinion on Pendulum varies based on what demographic you look at. Many casuals ignore its existence. Some competitive players find it broken, other competitive players find it underwhelming unless it's broken due to the required 2-card setup.
JOEY HAD A BABYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!
Ok his Seiyuu did. Sue me.
As long as this flower is in my heart. My Strength will flow without end.Oh man, I just realized something that makes Toei Kaiba even worse! They changed his and Yugi’s first duel into a draw, so neither side won and he didn’t get a penalty game. Then he goes on to send his Game Masters to kill/defeat Yugi and his friends, stalks Yugi to see if anyone else is trying to beat him in a duel first, and builds Death-T for the purpose of killing Yugi and his friends.
So in this continuity he hadn’t lost to Yugi and hadn’t received the Experience of Death, but did all that stuff anyway. He was that furious over a tie game.
I would never cross Toei Kaiba. Ever. Not even in the street. XD
The Protomen enhanced my life.I haven't heard of that version of the show.
It's commonly known as "Season 0" despite being made by a different company and having different continuities than the manga and later anime.

I'm not bothered in the slightest by it.
