Ayda would also notice a strange rock in the park. Turning it over, another QR code was there to scan. It stalled for a second, checking the PDA's history to confirm that Ayda had scanned the first QR code, then downloaded a file to her PDA; Puzzle7.dmp.
When loaded in to her Duel Disk, the Duel Puzzle program started up. Her opponent had 12600 Life Points, an Attack Position Blue Eyes, and a Defense Position Topaz Tiger. Their deck also had one more Topaz Tiger in it.
Ayda had 11200 Life Points, and on her field was an active Sanctuary in the Sky, a Defense Position Sheep Token (0/0/Beast/EARTH), and a facedown Celestial Transformation, Miraculous Descent, and Soul Absorption. Her graveyard was 3 Agent of Force - Mars and 3 Agent of Judgment - Saturn. In her hand was Neo-Parshath, Soul of Purity and Light, Airknight Parshath, Inferno Tempest, and Inferno Reckless Summon. Her deck (in order of top to bottom) was 3 Jar of Greed, 2 more Airknight Parshath, and 3 Nova Summoner.

Hey look!. Yu-Gi-Oh meets wrasslin'!([1]
)
Ayda stared at the puzzle for a while, until she thought of a possible answer. First, she changed the Sheep Token to attack position. Then she activated her facedowns, Soul Absorption and Celestial Transformation. She used Transformation to summon Airknight Parshath from her hand, then chained Inferno Reckless Summon to get two more Airknight Parshaths. This also got her opponent an extra Topaz Tiger, in defense position. She then tributed an Airknight to Special Summon Neo-Parshath the Sky Paladin from her hand.
Next, the Battle Phase. She sent the Sheep Token to its doom by having it attack Blue-Eyes, then activated Inferno Tempest since she took 3,000 damage from one battle. This banished her 3 monsters in the deck, 7 in the Graveyard, and 1 in her opponent's deck, and because of Soul Absorption, gained 5,500 Life Points.
ALP: 11,200 => 8,200 => 13,700
Since her LP was higher than her opponent's and Sanctuary in the Sky was on the field, Neo-Parshath gained 1,100 ATK points, putting him at 3,400 attack points. Then she used Miraculous Descent to summon an Agent of Force - Mars, who had 1,100 ATK for the moment.
Now for the actual attacking. One Airknight attacked a Tiger, inflicting 800 damage and letting her draw a card (Jar of Greed). The other Airknight did the same (Jar of Greed). The LP losses caused Mars and Neo-Parshath to gain an extra 1,600 ATK each, putting Neo-Parshath at 5,000 and Mars at 2,700.
OLP: 12,600 => 11,800 => 11,000
Next, Neo-Parshath attacked the defense position Blue-Eyes, inflicting 2,000 damage and letting Ayda draw a third card (Jar of Greed). This also put Mars at 5,200.
OLP: 11,000 => 9,000
Ayda narrowed her eyes in annoyance. It seems that she wouldn't be able to get this right immediately. She shrugged and had Mars attack directly before surrendering and restarting the Duel Puzzle.
OLP: 9,000 => 3,700

“Not a promise, not an oath, or a malediction or a curse. Inevitable." - Taylor HebertArtemis's QR code would give an odd message. Maximum speed necessary to continue.
Hey look!. Yu-Gi-Oh meets wrasslin'!Artemis gripped Immie's hand in her own and shook it, giving her a smile as she addressed her.
"Then rivals we are. Now if you will excuse me, I have a riddle to solve. I suggest you hurry to the QR code yourself." Artemis advised. However, she then held up the Duel Disk in her hand with a sly smile. "Unless, of course, you want to decide the rights to that code in a different way."
"Why does everything have to loop back to YGO?" -Guy who ruined YGOAmani looked at Ayda and Chris, then pulled a handkerchief out of a pocked and proceeded to clean her glasses. That done, she sent a quick text to Joshua (I'd like to join the tournament, please) and peered at Ayda and Chris again.
On empty crossroads, seek the eclipse -- for when Sol and Lua align, the lost shall find their way home.Immie nodded, seeming to think for a second. "Alright, I'll play your game. We'll go through these clues together, then if that only lands us one spot, we'll duel for that spot. Sound good?" She cracked a smile. Duels were always at their most fun when there was a stake involved.
Curse the ill fortune that led you to me."I wouldn't have it any other way." Said Artemis as she gestured in the direction of the code, intending to wait for Immie to return.
"Why does everything have to loop back to YGO?" -Guy who ruined YGOIt didn't take Immie long, her Gazer picked up the code long before her own eyes did - the riddle being shown to her right in her field of vision.
"There's gotta be a little more to it than this, right?" She said, incredulously. "I mean, maximum speed, that's got to be to do with a Turbo Duel, but what have we got to do past that? Max speed doesn't reveal anything by itself..."
Curse the ill fortune that led you to me."I don't think that's it either, but maybe we can solve this riddle a little at a time. For now, let's find a Duel Runner. Perhaps then, we'll get some more answers." Artemis said before turning to walk in the direction of the Duel Runner garage.
"Why does everything have to loop back to YGO?" -Guy who ruined YGOThe garage had a dozen Duel Runners. There were three in each Dorm's colors, with slight differences between them all in terms of specs; the Turtle Black Runners tended to focus on handling, while the Tiger White ones had high acceleration and top speeds. To sign out a Duel Runner to use, scanning your PDA was all that was necessary as long as a student had passed a riding test. If a student wasn't skilled enough to ride freely, the Runner was set to Autopilot and only usable in a Riding Duel.
There was a note stuck in the handlebars of one of the Arnis Vermillion bikes that read "The Puzzle's rigged. You lose if you run out of Speed Counters, too."
Hey look!. Yu-Gi-Oh meets wrasslin'!"Admittedly, I don't," Said Artemis as she walked forward and gave the Duel Runners a close inspection. "but from what I hear, these things go into autopilot when you initiate a Turbo Duel, so..." She coughed nervously. "I-I think I'll be fine."
At that point, she decided to digress. "It seems whoever solves this Duel Puzzle shall earn their place in the tournament." She then turned to Immie. "Shall we duel for it?"
"Why does everything have to loop back to YGO?" -Guy who ruined YGOImmie nodded. "The autopilot's pretty good. You're really just a passenger at that point." Still, that wasn't the issue any more. "But, then... you don't seem too eager to hop on to one of these... So let's get this Duel on!"
Immie swiped at her face, revealing her blue dolphin-tail Gazer Ink yet again, her left eye taking on a crimson hue.
Curse the ill fortune that led you to me."Then so be it." Artemis smiled as she placed her left arm out in front. Her Duel Disk released a black blade, and it glowed with a purple hue. She drew her starting hand and faced down her opponent with a determined gaze.
"DUEL!"
Artemis: 8000 LP
"I begin by Summoning Hieratic Dragon of Gebeb." She said as from a flash of light appeared an orange dragon clad in orange armor.
Hieratic Dragon of Gebeb: 1800 ATK/Lv 4
Artemis took another card from her hand. "But he won't be staying for long, because I Tribute him in order to Special Summon my Hieratic Dragon of Su." The image of Gebeb dispersed into yellow light, before forming again into a blue dragon, also donning the familiar orange armor.
Hieratic Dragon of Su: 2200 ATK/Lv 6
"And when Gebeb is tributed, it calls another 'Hieratic' monster to take its place, provided it's a Normal Monster. I Special Summon, from my Deck, Hieratic Seal of the Sun Dragon Overlord!" Beside Su emerged a great golden stone, shining as brightly as the sun itself. It merely floated, completely immobile, as if it were not even alive.
Hieratic Seal of the Sun Dragon Overlord: 0 DEF/Lv 8
Artemis held up another card, this one a Spell. "I then activate from my hand Advance Draw! By Tributing Hieratic Seal of the Sun Dragon Overlord, I can draw 2 cards from my Deck!"
"I then Set 3 cards facedown and end my turn!"
- LP: 8000
- Monster: Hieratic Dragon of Su (2200 ATK, Lv 6)
- S/T: 3 Set

"Why does everything have to loop back to YGO?" -Guy who ruined YGOImmie smirked. "Seems like a big show, when you didn't get a whole lot of monster to back it up..." She took one card from her deck, sliding it into her hand before slotting another into her compact Duel Disk. "I'll just play this guy face-down. That will be that. Now please, only make a show of your turn again if you're going to do something worth shouting about."
LP: 8,000
Field: Face-Down Monster
Hand: 5 Cards

Curse the ill fortune that led you to me.Amani pushed her glasses up her nose. “I've seen that puzzle somewhere,”, she said, “but I've never been able to solve it. I've a better idea on how to pass the time, though.”
She pointed dramatically at Chris. “I challenge you to a duel!”
Artemis closed her eyes and smiled a confident smile. "I'll make you eat those words."
"Draw!" She put her hand to her deck and brought her arm to her right as she drew her card. Turning her head to see her card, she smiled as she saw the green card in her right hand.
"I activate Hieratic Seal of Convocation." Said Artemis as a golden stone appeared above her. "This card allows me to add one 'Hieratic' monster from my Deck to my hand. I choose to add Hieratic Dragon of Nebthet, which I subsequently Special Summon to the field by Tributing Su!"
Su dispersed into specks of light, which reformed into a now purple dragon. Covered from head to tail with the same familiar orange armor, this monster gave a sharp cry as it appeared onto the field.
Hieratic Dragon of Nebthet: 2000 ATK/Lv 5
"Just as Gebeb before, Su also allows me to Special Summon a Normal Dragon-Type Monster when Tributed. I Special Summon another Hieratic Seal of the Sun Dragon Overlord from my Deck!" The same stone as before appeared again, just as bright and just as lifeless.
Hieratic Seal of the Sun Dragon Overlord: 0 DEF/Lv 8
Artemis reached out her hand, palm first, as she declared her next move. "Nebthet's monster effect activates! By Tributing one monster from my field or my hand, Nebthet can destroy a monster you control! I Tribute Hieratic Dragon of Eset from my hand to destroy your facedown monster!"
A glowing ball of light formed in Nebthet's mouth before it unless a breath of energy at Immie's facedown monster.

"Why does everything have to loop back to YGO?" -Guy who ruined YGO

Artemis raised an eyebrow.
"My name is Artemis, and I take it you came here looking for a QR code as well?" She turned back to the direction she had just come from and pointed a finger in that general direction. "It just so happens that I found one such code in that direction, if that's what you were going to ask next. You will have to hurry if you want to make it before I do."
