they/them || "Forgive me, regent of queer amphibians" - Lt.BGobDon't know if I'm gonna play one or both initially, but gonna try to play both at some point.
- Name: "Chalk"
- Gender: Female
- Race: Humanoid storm elemental
- Gear:
- A backpack filled with traveling supplies, clothes, and a small journal
- An unusually shaped lute that she carries around everywhere. Sometimes whacks ruffians upside the head with it if annoyed.
- Skills:
- Knows how to scrap, although not properly trained in it
- Has a good ability to guess or sense the weather and navigate based on it
- One would say her music and singing...but very few seem to appreciate her rather harsh vocals and screeching chords.
- Knows how to not be stupid...usually.
- Does not really have noteworthy skills.
- Power:
- Transformation: Her original form bears resemblance to something like a dragon, but in order to conserve energy she appears to others as a young female human. She can temporarily change back to her true form or merely shapeshift parts of herself as she sees fit, but maintaining such reversions can prove taxing on her constitution.
- Weather magic: Has a rather versatile variety of powers related to controlling the potent abilities of the storm. While she can throw powerful spells, the vast majority of what she's capable of requires her to either be incredibly close to her target or spend a large amount of time of preparation before unleash them. As she is currently without a proper medium, she's currently limited to these main powers:
- Lightning magic, primarily static electricity emission.
- Condensation (Cloud) control. The clouds are somewhat solid, and can be controlled and ridden on, but requires a large amount of water nearby or in the air.
- Sound magic. Can produce a loud ear-shattering uncontrollable reverberation.
- Physical ability: While theoretically she would be exceedingly powerful and dangerous, being stuck on the material plane under her own power limits her capacity to that of a merely above-average mage. While she is stronger, faster, and more durable than normal humans, she takes far longer to heal any wounds due to her physical makeup needing more time to reassert itself properly on this plane of existence. Using her own magic for extended periods of time wears her out incredibly fast as well.
- Quick traits: Has a prickly, stubborn, no-nonsense personality. Gifted with an acerbic tongue and a sarcastic sense of humor that's gotten her a rather bad reputation. Carries a soft spot for the young and innocent, although she doesn't want it announced. Has an unusually high distrust of mages and magic in general. Also greedy and refuses to do anything for another person that involves extended effort without some form of compensation. Even friends.
- Class: Bard?
- Name: Alex
- Gender: Male
- Race: Human/?
- Gear:
- Caster Gun: A strange tool obtained from a foreign land, this antiquated weapon has been the downfall of many a foolhardy mage who was too eager to spell-sling without proper protection. Instead of gunpowder or pieces of metal (because that's just way too dangerous yannow) inserted inside the chambers of this prototypical firearm are caster shells, effectively firing magical spells instead of power.
- Caster Shell carrying case: Caster shells are the specialized cartridges used in conjunction with the caster gun. Inside each shell is a refined form of mana, and magical instructions and runes inscribed onto the gun temporarily seal the power of each spell until it makes a rough impact with something. This is the case meant to carry them so to avoid rough impacts.
- A bottle of alcohol that seems to never run empty.
- Skills:
- Literate, well-read, and good at transcribing
- Has an unusual amount of knowledge about history, local lore, foreign lands, and breweries
- Nimble-fingered, tends to find it easier to "borrow" objects when nobody's looking
- Power: Nada.
- Physical ability: A normal man in most respects. He's unusually keen-sighted and dexterous, although that tends to go straight out the window when he's had a few.
- Quick traits: A rather jovial and calm man who prefers a nice talk to a fight. Seems to be a holy man of some kind, although his evasiveness on the afterlife, alcoholism and smoking habits make such a claim rather dubious.
- Class: Cleric? Gunslinger? Doesn't appear to be great at either.

They can't for the life of them understand why nobody liked being ruled by a group of manic depressive demigods - 4chanAlright, here goes...
- Name: Tobias Creighton, aka Father Creighton
- Gender: Male
- Race: Human
- Gear:
- A pair of brass knuckles
- A briefcase containing various religious supplies and demon-hunting gear, including stakes, holy water, etc...
- A one-of-a-kind caster gun, a relic from his church said to have been instrumental in the elimination of arch-demons of the past. It is a loaded with an unique shell which will absolutely annihilate any demon, undead, or other unholy creature which happens to be shot by it. However, creating one of these shells requires a months-long ritual and a ludicrous amount of resources: Tobias is not getting a second shot out of this gun.
- Skills: Pretty good at everything related to his church, such as lore, healing rituals, prayer, demon-hunting, and not a bad hand-to-hand fighter at that.
- Power: Nothing visible, really. Although, being a man of faith, he may or may not get a little help from his god every once in a while, if said god is feeling generous enough and isn't busy with reading Void Gods Weekly or whatever it is they do.
- Physical ability: Surprisingly strong and endurant for a man his age.
- Quick traits: How this chain-smoking, brawl-loving, and all around no-fucks-giving guy became a man of faith is anyone's guess.
- Name: Kavu
◊
- Gender: Male
- Race: Lizard person (the actual name is absolutely unpronouncable for normal people)
- Gear: a necklace holding several crystals and gemstones, a set of outdoors survival supplies
- Skills: A capable outdoorsman and hunter, Kavu is capable from operating on his own, away from civilization for a long time.
- Power:
- Kavu is able to use his willpower to create simple items, usually weapons, which cease to exist the instant Kavu stops concentrating on them. He can either split his focus on multiple small items, or concentrate it into fewer, larger ones. His mental state may affect the strength and properties of these created items.
- Kavu may devour his fallen enemies to gain some of their strength, which may even alter him physically. Upon their death, he may also trap their fleeing vital energy into an item (usually one of the crystals on his necklace), storing it to cast a spell later.
- Physical ability: Pretty fit and agile, he seems to have quite a bit of upper body strength, mostly thanks to having two more arms than the usual humanoid.
- Quick Traits: Kavu is usually the quiet and easy-going type, although he seems to get more serious when it comes to training and learning new things.
And there we go, feel free to send feedback my way

See one and two if your fuckyes, three for the reason why, and every one else needs to see 3 as well.
- That was serious by the way.
- Kavu is fine though, the first one is denied.
- No more mages, no more magic, no more spell swords, if your charecter chanels magic at this point, this includes clarics and gods, they WILL BE DENIED.... the entire fucking party is mages, and this has just been relised a bit too late.

Double post, we worked things out though.
Mages are okay again, but you can not do both melee combat and magic, pick one.
Apparently some how in the rush to make sure every thing was okay for going foward we forgot to detail how magic works.
We still would prefer that you did NOT add more mages at this point, while we trimmed the number by 2 they still make up most of the party.
Magic works kind of like warhamer 40k, it is drawn from an alien dimension known as the void, and requires lots of concentration do so, else you are just as likely to blow yourself up as who ever you were trying too.
Therefor it is not exactly a viable option in close range combat.

Well then... Due to popular demand, I am scrapping Kavu and am instead proposing "Totally not Hrodland guise" as you can see below
- Name: Hrothgeir
◊
- Gender: Male
- Race: Dragon person (although an individual that much on the dragon side of the family is unheard of)
- Gear:
- An armor made out of metal and furs, complete with a giant wolf's pelt to cover his head
- A greatbow, whose size makes it all but impossible for an human to carry around efficiently, let alone shoot. Its arrows are about lance-sized.
- Traveling supplies, such as a tent, a bedroll, and everything you'd expect for outdoors survival. Includes a walking stick which, given's Hrothgeir's size, is pretty much a small log.
- Power: Hrothgeir is able to use his willpower to create simple items, usually weapons, which cease to exist the instant Hrothgeir stops concentrating on them, or is no longer in contact with them. He can either split his focus on multiple small items, or concentrate it into a single, larger one. His mental state may affect the strength and properties of these created items.
- Physical abilitiy: Standing at over 3 meters tall, his draconic heritage grants him large wings and exceptional strength. However, his large stature is rather ill-suited for normal indoors, and he tends to crush usual furniture under his weight. Even most man-made weapons easily shatter in his hands as they fail to withstand the colossal strength of his blows.
- Quick traits: Hrothgeir is usually stoic and quiet, although this is not to be taken for shyness, or stupidity.
And there we go, is that good to go?

- Name:Skye
- Gender: Who knows?
- Race: Human
- Gear: A staff, potion pouch on their belt, small dagger
- Skills: A very dedicated healer. Due to past adventures, has some tracking and survival skills.
- Power: Adept healer, able to heal most light and moderate wounds. Also quite knowledgable in potions.
- Physical ability: Squishy
- Quick Traits: Skye is a bit shy, but rather friendly and easygoing. They also have adventuring experience, so can fall back on that in a crisis.
Alright, I think I'll go with one returning character and a new one.
Name: Mia
Gender: Female
Race: Half-dragon
Gear: Iron gauntlets
Power: She can fly, and has a medium ranged fire breath attack
Skills: Highly adept at brawling
Physical Ability: Quite strong, being part dragon and all
Quick Traits: Highly extroverted and friendly, generally easy to get along with
Class: Warrior (or the Final Fantasy version of Monks, if you prefer)
Name: Damien
Gender: Male
Race: Catkind/Fancy Feast Enthusiast/Whatever cat people are called in this setting
Gear: A cane that's capable of transforming into a sword
Skills: Damien is a very competent swordsman and is well educated in world history/politics. He is also very adept at stealing, performing assassinations, and general dirty work.
Powers: His speed and reflexes are both superhuman, allowing him to escape from nasty situations and overwhelm foes in close combat.
Physical Abilities: He is very dexterous and has good hearing, thanks to his cat heritage. Otherwise, see above.
Quick Traits: Damien is quite greedy, and does some questionable things in the pursuit of profit. In particular, he believes the aristocracy to be lazy and indulgent, and doesn't feel guilt about stealing from them. He's cynical and selfish, but pretty affable to those who don't double cross him.
Class: Thief/Assassin

IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL INFO ABOUT MAGIC:
First of all, I'll explain what The Void is. There are two dimensions. The "normal" World, and a dimension full of supernatural energy and eldritch entities called The Void. The Void is the origin of anything miraculous and magic. Anything that is telling normal physics "hey you there go fuck yourself". So any sort of magic is inherently connected to the void, because it comes from there. Many magical races, like some demons or angels, are also originally from The Void, their lineages tracing back to an entity that came from The Void into the normal world, usually a God or Demonic lord.
Now, there are three ways for people to make magic come from The Void into the normal world:
With Arcane Magic, spellcasters and regular mages focus their willpower on The Void, bringing up a mad lot of concentration to mentally "reach" Into the Void and pull out whatever sort of magical effect they want to cast, from fireballs to Lightning Bolt to phantasmal illusions. If an arcane spellcaster does not concentrate enough, for example because they are also engaged in a swordfight and need to parry and attack while they are trying to cast their spell, their connection to the void becomes unstable and the mage can't really control what he pulls out of the void, usually resulting in a massive, devastating blast of magical energy. Or worse.
Clerics, Paladins, and other Divine casters don't rely on their willpower, but instead on their faith to cast spells. They pray to their deity of choice, and ask it to use its phenomenal cosmical void powers to create the spell they want to cast. Most deities usually comply, although they may decide to deny the request under certain conditions, like when the caster is not faithful enough at the time of casting.
Then there is also Innate magic, with represents a magical being's natural connection to the Void. Like regular mages, they rely on Willpower to cast their spells, but instead of pulling magic from the void, they pull the magical energy directly from their own, magical self. This greatly limits the maximum power and number of the spells the caster can cast, and only a few spells already lead to great exhaustion, but it is almost impossible for Innate casters to fuck up during the casting process, making it way easier for them to cast their innate spells than for Arcane Mages. The worst that happens is that they turn their own organs inside-out when they don't concentrate enough. :D
Any questions?

I will have mines up soonish but i do plan to play as both protagonists of the two original loas
" I did the right thing, didn't I? It all worked out in the end." "In the end? Nothing ends, Adrian. Nothing ever ends."
