But don't Moira and Sigma have entirely different scientific fields?
Then again, as an Oasis member she must be interested in every type of science
Uni catI like the idea that Sigma's research is responsible for Zarya's Graviton Surge.
Sure, technically. But Moira's also crazy, and she'd definitely have a bad idea like 'This strange energy drove the man who discovered it insane. Let's inject it into my boss and see what happens!'
Gabriel already had his cells all fucked up thanks to the soldier program. I doubt a black hole turned him into an angry cloud. Moira just came around to fix him and it wouldn't be an issue until the swiss quarters went kaboom
What happened to Sigma is closer to what happened to Tracer. You have to wonder how she was left mostly unharmed mental wise.
Uni catI like to think that, much like Mei, Tracer's friendliness and chipper attitude is a coping mechanism to help her deal with her trauma.
I think its close to what happened to Tracer but not quite the same thing. Sigma's incident seems to of caused him to perceive different periods of time at the same time, perhaps different timelines as well? While Tracer's just got her lost in time.
Although I do still like that he accidentally tapped into an Eldritch Horror theory personally. Some of his rantings sounds like that The Universe sings to me! especially

I think the difference is Tracer got lost while Sigma got brutalized.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Wonder if the conspiracy will be tied to this.
Remember that plot thread first introduced 3 years ago? I do
Uni catHe could have the Dr Manhattan thing where he's experiencing his entire timeline at once. It could be why he seems to keep popping back and forth mentally.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireInb 4 someone makes the obligatory theory that all of Overwatch it's actually Sigma's dream in the insane asylum.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. What if all of Overwatch is actually Sigma's dream in his insane asylum?
Interesting with the bouncing shots and the shield.
So it seems Sigma was developed around the same time as the writing of Baptiste short story and it was intended to be Mauga's kit but since it didn't fit him they had to rework the lore of the hero and we got Sigma.
So i bet Mauga is in the backburner for now. Now i think Blizzcon is going to be Echo
Uni catSo he is indeed a tank.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Seagull pointed out that when you select him, his leitmotif plays faintly (while he gesture like a conductor).
You called it.

Can I say that the most disappointing part about Sigma's story is that he is another Talon character? Like they get all of the development while rest of the things are left in the rut. But due of how the story goes, it doesn't really go anywhere.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!Well unfortunately the community wanted a Talon tank for a while and he was chosen as such.
And that's a given for every character. Their backstory comes to a halt and takes a while before it gets going. Even if it gets going in the first place.
Uni catStray thought: Sigma is the first white man to be added to the game since launch.
Hmmm so Sigma was like Ashe, as in not completely planned out. Hmm. I don’t think hero development takes as long as we think it does, I wonder why we only get 3 a year.
I think one of the devs said that once Role lock is out they could theoretically release more heroes in a shorter timeframe. I mean, if they aren't doing anything with events anymore they might as well add 1 more hero per year. We could easily get 4 in one year after all.
Uni catSiggy is very fun to play. I am loving his kit
My guess, he tried to do something that tapped into an Eldritch Abomination, and learned things man was not meant to know.
Then Moira found his notes, and decided to plug the thing into Reyes's cells, which is why he's so weird.
