A wise man once said: "Life has many doors." Ed-boy
Let's take a look behind one of them, shall we?
Ten years after the events of Beacon: Ultimate, our heroes have a faithful reunion this
SUNDAY, SUNDAY, SUNDAY
RIVAL TEAMS FACE OFF IN A BLOODY CAGE MATCH
BROADCASTED LIVE ON VALE 3+ HD
BEACON WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT BRINGS YOU THE
The cacophonous sound of the announcer blared across the stadium. How odd, that he was specifying what day it was, since today was the fateful Sunday. What were they doing this for again? It was either for money or.. maybe it was for Alexia's custody papers, who knows.
Why a 20-something year old would have custody papers was anyone's guess.
The crowd was thrown into a frenzy in anticipation. The dust-iron cage above the ring swung gently, waiting to be dropped upon the combatants. But for now, while they were still in their locker rooms, it waited.

28 year-old Lei Yun shook his head at the announcement, violet eyes shining in bemusement.
"I certainly wasn't expecting this to happen during our Class Reunion…but it definitely makes things interesting." The hunter chuckled.

I insist that Rufus looks even more like my avatar at this age. Just this magnificent exploding mane of blood red. He snorted at the sight of the cage and leaned his head back and laughed. Not one of those unlaughs, but a full belly laugh.
"We're gonna- ha- cage match- haha!"

Locker Room β
Someone else was laughing boisterously, on the other side of the arena. A person sat among a few reporters; the bright flashes from the cameras didn't seem to hinder her one bit.
A masked person, but her immense height, forest green eyes, and musculature belied only one identity: Charisse Scylatta.
"It's been YEEEAAAARS since I last saw these people! They're old buddies of mine from my school years, before I took up Rey King's mantle!"
The mask looked jaguar like, but it was not the full head that the former Rey King used to wear, Lando bless his soul. It was a more traditional Southern Valoran wrestling mask. She was wearing jaguar print everything, and had strings dangling from her limbs. A traditional approach, perhaps.
Charisse had grown over the ten years. Now, she was almost 8 feet tall, and rivaled her own grandmother's Amazonian physique.
"Buddies or not, I'll send 'em packing if they think they can take my prize! REY KING II IS READY!"
She laughed again, then continued answering questions from the reporters around her.
"Yes we're still together." "No comment." "What, do you want to fight too?!" "7'8", I think I've stopped."

A young woman, still fairly stout by comparison to Charisse, adjusted the sleeves of her Vacuonese-styled robe as she stood among the spectators.
"Remind me why they're doing this again?" she said. "Aren't we world-class Huntsmen?"
The cub was gone. In her place was a fully grown apex predator.
In the past ten years, Ai grew considerably. Thanks to a late growth spurt, she was no longer barely scraping five feet tall, and measured in at 5'8". In many ways, she resembled her mother in her prime, in both appearance and physical strength.
Ai had been away for the past year on another of her whimsical trips across Remnant. Her reason for coming home was clear.

"Precisely." The other woman shrugged indifferently, awaiting for spectacle to begin. Compared to Ai she was much smaller and less athletically built, but that didn't seem to matter for one whose body was mostly made of metal. A long flowing dress with buffy sleeves in a color of dark green did nothing to conceal the fact that the gray shone over her legs and arms ominously, just as it did over her neck and lower lip.
"It's why they're here. The public loves when, hm, celebrities do things that aren't usually associated with them." She spoke in her usual monotone matter, one of the things that hardly changed since Hope Remington became a Huntress.
A heavyset man sat to the side, book in hand. He adjusted a pair of goggles that currently graced his face, which seemed stuck in a sort of grimace that betrayed mild annoyance, even behind the shaggy beard he now had. His hair was just as shaggy, as mangy as it had been at Beacon. He was clothed in a simple outfit, black shirt and pants with leather armor, a mangled red scarf around his neck. A large hammer sat at his feet, polished and new looking, as if he'd just gotten it this morning.
This is Ghatz, 28 years old and same as ever. "Weeeell, looks like everyone's coming..." He muttered, eyeing his surroundings curiously. He almost felt the need to call his wife, but he didn't need to; she'd show up, eventually. But for now, he'd just have to suffer through the degrading experience of spending time with his former classmates.
He stood, setting the book down, as he stretched. Looking around, he noticed a familiar face, and walked over. "Yun?" He said, eyebrows raised. "Lei Yun? It's me! Ghatz!" He grinned, his bearded face split in a joyful expression. "How ya been, buddy?!?! Kill anything interesting?"
''Ghatz?" Yun's grin of bemusement grew to one of happiness. "Man, the years have been good to you!" He laughed, standing up and holding out a hand to greet his old friend. "I'm doing great! Travelled around, saw the sights…I was up north recently, killed some interesting stuff there. You?"
Now standing at 6'2, Yun wore a moderately armoured long coat over a blue shirt and grey combat pants. A pair of steel grey gauntlets covered his forearms, and a hunting rifle was holstered on his back.

Reunion - Viper
It had been quite some time indeed, more than enough to get settled for one certain snake girl as she stood off to the side. She had told her husband she would meet him at the reunion and had let him go ahead, having to finish up some reports for the Princess herself.
And now she stood alone, dressed in something more casual than her work clothes◊, looking out at her friends and allies she had not seen in some time. Beside her, was the telltale sign of motherhood. A small child, barely four years, clutching her hand as she tried to hide behind her leg. Ieria could not help but sigh at this. "It will be fine, do not be so frightened, these are friends of mine after all." Her hair had been grown out, making it nice and long, but not to a level of ridicule. She looked out to her friends and waved slightly, as if trying to draw the attention of one who would recognize her.

When word got out that a reunion for their class was happening, Naima had nearly burst apart from the excitement. After all this time she was going to see everyone again! Things had been pretty hectic since they'd all graduated and become official hunters. Everyone had gone their separate ways more or less. What hadn't changed however was the relationship she and Ghatz shared.
Well, the wasn't entirely true. Marriage was a big change. And so was living together. But the very core mechanics of their bond remained stronger than ever. It was every bit as sappy as it sounded. And she loved it.
Standing just within the entrance of the stadium, Naima seemed every bit the mature and confident Huntswoman she was. Her dark locks of hair were now clipped short, worn in a cute pixie cut that suited her nicely. Overall she still maintained her slim form, though now her clothing was noticeably less muted.
"Oh dear. I'd better hurry..."
A brisk walk later and she was within the main area, scanning the crowd for Ghatz's familiar face. It really didn't take long to find him given his typical appearance.
"Sorry if I'm late..." She leaned in to kiss him on the cheek affectionately, eyes moving over to rest on-
In the next instance she had her old partner in a tight hug, laughing manically. "Look at you! You're still as cute as ever!"
"Naima! You've grown into one hell of a Huntress." Yun replied, returning the friendly gesture. "How's the married life treating you two?" Yun had been delighted when he received the news of his old partner's engagement to his friend, and had sent them his congratulations.
Looking around, he spotted a woman waving over at them, a small figure by her side. Is that...it's Ieiria! He waved back to her.

Rufus discarded his fur cape to a hanger, only wearing black metal bracers, black boots, red pants and a nnnnasty set of scars up and down the left side of his body, from his knees to his shoulders and down to his elbows, courtesy of the Jabberwocky. A strap crossed his chest as well, holding his Sanguis Aspernor.
Dressed and armed, the Snikersnax strolled out and toward the arena, eager to get this underway. He didn't need the money, he just needed the excitement. He planned to fight with abandon, for old time's sake.
"YUN! Charisse! Hope! Ghatz! Ieria! Naima! EVERYONE!" He raised his hands, the both of them, and waved, an open smile on his face. No longer did his voice rumble like shifting gravel but instead rumbled like distant thunder.
"Is that a challenge I hear, you red haired bastard?!" Charisse replied back, in an equally loud voice. She rose up from her seat near the locker room, and strode up in her full wrestler's regalia. The ties of her mask dangled loosely behind her head, fluttering with every step she took. She stretched as she walked, loosening up her shoulders and neck.
She was just as excited as he was.
If you could call a folding ladder a weapon.
Charisse pointed out to the crowd, her finger and gaze directed at Ai. "I'm doing this for you, baby!" She called out, blowing her partner a kiss as she made her way to the ring.
Rufus grunted and passed along Sanguis Aspernor.
"Semblances are fine. If we didn't allow them, then wrestling would probably be fake now wouldn't it?" The aide said with a laugh. He took the sword rather easily, and brought it back with him to where Rufus was sitting prior.
Much to the annoyance of the woman in question, a squad of trumpeteers and heralds announced the arrival of Alice Elizabeth Vale, Knight Queen.
Alice scowled, still not seeing the appeal of all the fuss. Beside her, Princess Alexia, now twenty-seven, older and wiser, suppressed a small laugh at her sister's discomfort.
Both royals were dressed simply, just like they had during those strange years long ago.
To Alexia's right was her much-trusted and fiercely protective (paranoid) Knight, Alfred Tarantula, whose reputation pretty much scared the shit out of potential kidnappers and assasins.
Remus entered the observer area, an older wiser hunter. He was wearing an updated version of his old outfit, mostly the same except for the addition of a longcoat with obvious weaves of dust in intricate patterns along the back and sleeves. His hair had grown to about waist length and was tied if in a pony(wolf)tail. Along the left side of his face was a scar from a greater beowulf that had come close to giving Remus a halfway understanding of his old teammate's difficulty with sight. Chelsea wasn't there yet from what he could see, most likely taking care of some business back home.
For the time being Remus decided to look around for his old teammates while he went over to Ieria. "Hey Ieria. Haven't seen you in a while. Last I heard our respective younger siblings were helping out with a little incident back at your home?"
Ieria saw the princesses and their entourage enter the room, she gave a quick salute to Princess Alice before turning back to watching the fight at hand until Remus piped up. "Ah, yes a few Grimm broke into the lower tunnels we were expanding into, and well, they had to be removed." She said with a thin smile. "On the upside, no more Grimm. On the downside, it will take months to repair the damage they caused." She shook her head and looked down to the small child at her leg. "Ah, yes. This is one just had to come with me. Say hello, Marna." She said, moving slightly to the side, causing her young daughter to let out a frightened squeak before quickly moving behind her again.
"How is it for such an open couple," Pius said as he emerged from the shadows. "that you two produce such shy children?" This incarnation of the Nobel's future had suffered a little more in the six years since his team and his classmates had graduated from Beacon. Almost 28 years old, and the gray-eyed Huntsman had changed very little in his outward personality.
Well, as much as having two cybernetic arms in place of organic ones could qualify as "little change." This future of Pius had since abandoned Dies Irae after the incident that cost him his arms, instead favoring a new construct known as Astra. It functioned about the same as his arms from Dies Irae, except these arms could also channel his Aura through them. After he learned of the existence of Aura-producing machines, it was easy to engineer technology that simply allowed his Aura to shine from his arms rather than around them. They were capable of storing and manipulating Dust at a greater level than the last Dies Irae could, and Pius put that power to great use by purging lands of Grimm in the hope of expanding mankind's territory. There was more that these arms could do, but they are of little relevance at the moment.
"I hope you all aren't shirking your duties these days." He said with a smirk that betrayed his lighter mood. It was good to be around friends again after a while of destroying his enemy.

Ieria shrugged, patting her daughter on the head. "They are not all like this, of course. Just Marna, really, although Lars is quite soft spoken as well..." She mused, tapping her chin with a long finger. "I have not been shirking my duties, of course, I would not be able to live with myself if I did."
"That's good," Pius replied, crossing his artificial arms, which gave everyone present a view of his gunmetal gray hands covered by fingerless gloves. The Nobel saw that his royal friend and her queen sister were here as well, giving a small smile at their presence before returning his attention to his Faunus teammate.
"So, Alexia's here," He commented. "So tell me, how's Medus been doing? I'm still surprised he found himself cut out for fatherhood."
Ieria looked around for a moment, unable to see Medus at this point in time. "Strange, I had thought he would have gotten here before I did." She murmured as she turned back to Pius. "He is fine, and I believe he was surprised as well. All things considered, he has been dealing with it quite nicely, we both have to pitch in is all."
"I did get here before you did. Before anyone else did actually. And that landed me a job as the post-show music." Medus explained as he walked over to the rapidly forming group. The rocker now wore casual clothes except for his ever-constant leather jacket, which now had clear armor plates. His has was now pulled back in a pony-tail and an electric-blue eye looked out from the scar from a 3-digit claw that ran down the right side of his face.
The rocker shrugged. "Cheap bastards these lot. Had to do half the prep myself."
Ieria looked to him, and her expression quickly turned into a wide smile as she quickly moved to him, latching on and planting a kiss on his lips as she pressed her large chest against him. "Hello love~" She said, all but purring into him as she smiled.
"Ugh, your daughter is present, you two," Pius reminded them with a tone of clearly exaggerated disgust. "Geez, you're making me remember how lonely I am."
