He'd be happy if anything. He clearly didn't care about his own life or anyone else's, so the Avengers not properly being able to deal with Thanos because he shattered them would probably be the cherry on top of the cake.

So anyone want to take a guess as to when Vision dies? Since this is two movies, I'm going to guess he dies at the end of Part 1.

Which, hoping JARVIS survives, a conscious AI again and without a body and maybe he spends the next film inside a deprecated Iron Legionnaire or

Better Yet, he finds Ultron's old Vibranium Body and becomes Machine Man!

Whoops, my WMG came out.

It's not Part I and Part II anymore. It's Infinity War and an as yet unnamed sequel.

Vision dying and the Avengers being defeated or captured would be a dope way to end Part 1.

Part 1 should end with the hammer of Thanos falling down everywhere. Asgard in ruins. Nova Prime decimated. The Avengers and Guardians fallen, scattered, and some of them possibly even dead. The Sanctums ripped asunder as Thanos takes the Eye, with Earth now in danger from untold extradimensional and magical threats even after Thanos is taken care of.

As a flip, I'd be interested if The Collector tries to jump ship to Team Thanos rather than get in his way and plays secondary antagonist (though I suppose if Thanos is going to be the protagonist of this one, that would make him supporting character instead) for a while, only for Thanos to decide he doesn't want to bother with minions any more. Though I guess the subject of the Collector can wait until we see how Ragnarok handles the Grandmaster.

Wondering if the movie formerly known as Part II will now be called New Avengers.

Apparently Marvel's wrap cake for Infinity War has led to some intense fan speculation on the film.

Spoiler warning -ish [1]

I've come to the conclusion that the black hand is actually Proxima Midnight and the other two are from Thanos other children...there are three of them in the movie, right?

Possible spoiler for Cap's identity in Infinity War [1]

Who was this identity in the comics?

[up] The Nomad identity originated when Steve Rogers gave up being Captain America in wake of the original Secret Empire arc but still wanted to do some superhero-ing. I think another character started using that alias later on, but it was originally Steve's.

It's been widely speculated that given the ending of Civil War, we might find out in Infinity War that he's been operating as Nomad.

Three years ago I was spot on.[lol]

I would not be surprised if the Gauntlet shown in Thor has been quietly retconned. It appeared for all of five seconds and this was probably before they knew Phase 2 and 3 were going to heavily revolve around the Stones.
Mirroring the Cube in color doesn't mean anything. It could just be the actual Stone hidden inside the staff like the purple Power Stone hidden in the Silver Orb. The "Connection" could just be to the set of Stones in general since they actively search for each other, as was alluded to in the Dark World.

So, I am freely geeking out about the trailer here, since I assume that dedicated trailer skipper would stay away from this particular discussion.

I like this one better than the ones beforehand, because there are more character interactions in it. Love the Spider-Man and Doctor Strange bit, that was hilarious.

Also, Cap is badass!!!!

That trailer!!!!!

Loki theory in spoiler tags.

I think Loki is gonna have a Redemption Equals Death. He’s been shifting toward good, and it would be a good conclusion to his arc after working for Thanos/bringing the Avengers together. Bruce somehow lands in the Sanctum in the trailer. How? Thanos didn’t attack the Asgardians over Earth, which means Bruce got portaled there. Who can wield the tesseract to portal Bruce? Thor? Not his speed. Loki will use the tesseract to blast Bruce to Earth to warn everyone -Loki’s been in the Sanctum, after all. It’ll be played as Loki being evil “grr, haha tell your friends Thanos is coming” but actually be Loki being helpful. He’ll be on Thanos’ side most of the movie, betray him to save Thor’s life, and then die for real.

[up] Doubt it. It would be the obvious thing to do and the MCU is rarely that obvious.

It's been loudly retconned, actually. Thor Ragnarok features a scene with Hela entering the Vault and dismissing the Guantlet present in there as a fake. Presumably, the Vault's Eye of Agamotto is similarly a replica.

Thor calling Rocket Racoon a rabbit confused me but they're native to North America not Europe so he might have never seen one. As a Norse God, he'd also be used to talking animals like Ratatoskr.

  • Thor: Ratatoskr, my friend! It is good to see you!
  • Rocket: ... Is... Is he talking to me?
  • Gamora: Are you okay?
  • Thor: I feared I was alone out here, but it is nice to see a friend has made it. Come, let us celebrate by sharing JOLTS OF LIGHTNING!
  • Rocket: NO!!!
  • Quill: WHOA WHOA. Nobody's shooting anybody with lightning here! What is wrong with you?
  • Thor: I thought—
  • Mantis: The Earth-god Ratatoskr does not even shoot lightning.
  • Quill: Why do you know this.
  • Mantis: Ego collected Earth memorabilia. I read it in books. Ratatoskr races up and down Yggdrasil, the World Tree. He does not shoot lightning. You are thinking of Pikachu.
  • Quill: What's a Pikachu?
  • Mantis: I read it in books.
  • Quill: Does that make sense?
  • Thor: (dejected) ...I've been playing a lot of Smite lately.
