I think the implication from the Cultural Festival Arc is that he's going to try to learn from Mina's breakdancing to make his movements less predictable.

"20% are quirkless" applies to the entire population, including the older generations. It's been repeatedly explained that quirklessness is more common in older generations than in younger ones. Izuku's generation is young enough that is should have a quirk ratio considerably higher than the average.

Since we know Dabi isn't shit, we can be sure that won't happen.

Sasuke, Zuko, the comparisons are potentially limitless.

Though Zuko is way cooler than Sasuke of course.

Regarding the combat thing, my main guess is this: It is part of the curriculum, but it's a part of the curriculum the classes we're following haven't reached yet. It's clear that it's really unusual for a first-year class to have seen as much action as they have. In a "normal" year, they start off training the students in using their quirks effectively so that when they learn to fight for real, they already have a good grasp of what their capabilities are.

But yeah, I'd be totally on board with seeing more of Uraraka using her hand-to-hand combat knowledge.

She said she wanted to focus on making her body float to better use what she learned at Gunhead's. She's going to need to work on her mobility for that, in which case a costume upgrade would make sense.

I've toyed with her sort of having an Attack on Titan propulsion system like deal, but people are iffy about those even in Attack on Titan itself.

Given that she's weightless when floating, it wouldn't need much. Maybe little air jets at strategic spots she can activate with the right motions

Though Zuko is the one who can actually keep a cool head.

Cause he ya know matured & grew into an actually emotionally healthy individual.

Remember during quirk assessment when Uraraka made her clothes lighter to help her run better? She should do the opposite. Make only her body weightless and have her clothes to keep her from floating off into the stratosphere. That way she has even less total weight to carry around and can move faster. She's still going to have mass so her muscles should still... Work. I hope. I mean she kind of tells an entire fundamental force of the universe to go sit in the corner on a regular basis so it's 50/50 on whether that would actually work)

I'm pretty sure she already does that though. Making her body but not specifically her clothes weightless.

Pretty sure she wouldn't be floating if that was the case. Then again, not a physicist, but I'm pretty sure a human-sized balloon filled with helium would be weighed down enough by a pair of shoes.

EDIT: I just realized how many times I said "pretty sure" there. If that comes off as mean it isn't my intention I'm just apparently not in the right mind to be doing words right now?

I mean, also she has to do to make herself float is touch her finger tips together, so unless the effect is transferring to her costume incidentally I don't think they'd be affected. But I could be wrong.

But having the high-ground/aerial advantage is a good thing in most cases. She just needs better control of her movements.

That isn't much but hey

In her first appearance she was able to float Deku just by touching his backpack (it's like the only option where he wouldn't realize somebody touched him) so that would mean her power works through clothes, or else doesn't really discriminate the person from the objects that are on them unless she actually wants to.

Uraraka needs to meet Gran Torino, or at least have his quirk explained to her.

By the way, has anyone figured out why Izuku's Shoot Style is called Shoot Style?

How OP could Uraraka's quirk could become if she learned some cool tricks with it? How much range does she have?

Like, none? She has to directly touch what she wants to make float.
