Excuse you, it's pronounced GAMER .

Attachments are not the problem, Indifference is. Keelah se'laiOh my god, I saw Shigaraki's origin.
It's beautifully tragic. There's just a lot to unpack. I think my favorite part was that All for One didn't even need to do anything directly. Nana just planted the seeds that would ruin Shigaraki but it was his family that created their beloved monster.
Okay, so I think they did a great twist on the abusive dad formula here, the story actually portrays the family as also responsible because of their inaction and reinforcement.
Even if his grandparents were trying to be kind to him, they were still justifying his dad's abuse. And his supposed supportive sister betrayed him and left him to rot in the dark, why shouldn't Shigaraki hate them?
Even the mother took too long to intervene and paid the price.
Yeah I feel like the best origin stories let you follow the logic of the character in question, let you feel the emotions the character is going, their journey. So this bit def made me understand Shigaraki. This is a big thing because normally I don't like villains who only desire to destroy, but Shigaraki SOLD me on why he wants to destroy hero society.
Deku was inspired by All Might's example and ostracized for his lack of quirk but stayed kind and heroic, Shigaraki was damned by the actions of All Might's mentor however unwillingly, and his quirk ruined his life, but it gave him a new purpose.
This is the shit that lands you in arch-enemy territory.

"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"“Scenes of Tomura desperately needing help and being ignored by society and then All for One finding him.”
The intro: Woah woah it’s alright, everything will be alright!
This show, I swear.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"I feel I should point out Hana only "betrayed" Tenko under duress, namely not wanting to suffer Kotaro's abuse herself, and was going to apologize to Tenko while he was stuck outside... which just adds to the tragedy since the moment she tries to is when his Quirk awakens, and she becomes the second casualty of it after Mon-chan. She did love her little brother... she was just scared of her father's abuse even more.
It's not that surprising that a Fandom-Specific Plot I've seen in recent years is to have her be Spared by the Adaptation, either to be a Villain Sibling Team with Tomura, a Good Counterpart trying to make up for her mistake, or in a AU where Tenko never became Tomura just trying to be there for her brother overall.

Rodimus: Self-sacrifice, Magnus— It's cheap. It's a cheap way out. I need to live so I can make amends.![]()
Funny thing. Merry Go Round is actually one of my favourite songs.
I just like how it can casually LIE TO OUR GODDAMN FACES!!!!
Spoiler for Red. Don't read: And when I think of that lie, I focused on what I knew is coming later, so I totally missed the thing with young Tenko getting zero help when he needed it.
By the way Red, what are your thoughts on Kotaro?
Let me say, not a fan of him. I get why he's the way he is, but....man, did he fuck up.
One Strip! One Strip!Oh my god, this was such a great arc.
I feel so genuinely proud of Tomura, after not doing anything for so long, he came roaring back with a bang. Taking over the Meta Liberation Army, and renaming it into the PARANORMAL LIBERATION FRONT.
Motherfucker.
I loved how All for One was just being the dad that Shiggy's actual dad didn't want to be, just giving him pointers and pushing him to embrace his power. It was great to see, truly he is the Palpatine to Shiggy's Darth Vader.
I guess we can add All for One to the list of people who are better mentors than All Might.
Hell, Shiggy even rewarded his League. He's finally PAYING THEM. With other people's money but who cares, my man has come through.
10/10 arc. I'm looking forward to Shigaraki and Deku's next fight.

EXACTLY! The fact that Hana loves her brother makes the betrayal worse for him. Because it proves to him that her feelings are fragile and fair weather compared to the fear she has for her dad.
Even the apology is insulting to a degree, think of it from Tomura's POV, she only did it in secret, and ran from Tomura in fear when she saw what he accidentally did to their dog. So to him, she doesn't really care for him at all, just another abuser in his opinion. A coward that hides behind supposed love and will abandon him when push comes to shove.

"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"Okay, before I start the next episode, I just realized another reference to Spider-Man.
Remember how Twice's issues stem from him not being sure if he's the original one or a clone?
That's exactly the kind of pain Green Goblin was trying to inflict on Spider-Man during the Clone Saga 2.
Switching the results so Peter thought he was the clone and Ben Reilly was the original.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"So I assume you read the manga version of it as well right?
Mostly as I believe the manga goes into a bit more on how the entire foundation of the Meta Liberation Army is Destro and the book he left behind.
I don’t recall the anime ever mentioning or show that Re-Destro was groomed to be the leader since he was a child. So he never really had the freedom the group advocates for, and how the Government co opted the term Quirks from Destros mother after she died, who wanted her son to be treated as a person, leading him to lead a revolt in the past.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.I will eventually.
But the show does make it clear Redestro was raised to become the leader of the MLA because he’s a descendant of Destro. We even see kid Redestro.
He even notes that he’s a slave to his own bloodline and that Tomura was truly liberated.
Also yeah the quirk being co-opted by the government is in the show.

"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"Alright, this is a fine season finale, just some feel good moments with class 1A, Mineta isn't being a creep, and it's nice to see them all just being regular students after all the shit that's happened.
Considering how feel good this scene is, next season is going to be hell huh?
Poor All Might, hasn't done much this season, being Shoto's and Bakugo's uber driver this season was not how I expected his career trajectory to go.
Endeavor has basically replaced him in my heart. Sad.
It's the Melissa shaped elephant in the room. Thanks to Lone watching the movie, I once again still can't help but think of ways she can help All Might.
All Might is in his Bruce Wayne in Batman Beyond phase. Maybe build him a robot suit to fight crime and help the students out? She built Endeavor's new costume.
Especially since Aizawa brought up that he's still a workaholic.
Also Eri's powers seem to be acting up.... Hmmmmmmm, I see a rewind in the future, maybe Mirio can finally get his powers back, OR SHE REWINDS ALL MIGHT BACK TO HIS FULL GLORY!
Yeah no lol, I can't see that happening.
Also wonder what power Shigaraki is going to get?
And it ends with a teaser for the movie.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"How the hell does he keep !@#@-ing doing that?!
And no Red, you should read the above spoiler.

I get that. I totally get that. I even believe that he really was on the verge of turning things around.
He still fucked up, got himself and his family killed, and rendered everything his mother did utterly meaningless. He's still a stupid tool and the only member of the family who I don't regret dying.

One Strip! One Strip!Viewed like that, he is a tragic figure to an extent.
But we're here for what he did, not what he intended.
As I said before, his abuse was so bad, that the caring older sister betrayed her beloved younger brother to avoid his wrath speaks volumes.
He makes an excellent dark mirror to Endeavor. Endeavor should be thankful he even has the chance to try to make amends with his family considering his career. Kotaro does remind me of season 2 Shoto who was doing exactly what his abusive dad wanted despite his efforts to avoid doing that. Kotaro was inflicting an even worse pain to his family than what Nana did by abusing them into hating heroes so they won't abuse their family. That would just feed the cycle.
And sure, Kotaro DID regret what he did, but the fact that his first instinct to his crying son was to hit him with a gardening tool speaks volumes. I think he would have still abused Tomura even if the family survived.
Nana planted the seeds but it was Kotaro and his family that nurtured the beloved monster, and all All for One had to do was harvest what they made Tomura into.
The most fucked up part and compelling to me, is that ALL FOR ONE was more supportive of Tomura than his own family.
All for One's real son isn't Deku, it's Tomura Shigaraki.

"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"I mean, I'm not sympathizing with All for One. He's clearly raising Tomura as a weapon to spite All Might and to have a legacy of evil. A new symbol of fear to haunt the world.
But he's still supportive of Tomura, he's teaching him things, how to harness his power, how to be the man he wants to be.
That's more than what his family did for him.
It's interesting how Kotaro muses he wished Nana hated him, because the fact that Hana loved Tomura made her betrayal worse.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"Mostly as his actions caused things to finally pass beyond the point of no return.
Endeavor had to have everything he worked for end abruptly by All Mights loss of power to finally change himself afterall.

It really is. Real life evil will always, always hurt more than any fictional evil.
At least until Donald Trump and his supporters up their game and turn more fictional evil into real life evil.
Then Fictional evil will get more uncomfortable as well.

One Strip! One Strip!I get why people don't have any sympathy for Kotaro. I just wanted to say my piece.
Yeah, every member of the Lo V has a sob story and is at least an accessory to murder.

This is how you know he's beyond redemption.
