Yup, though obviously not a perfect comparison
Just the thing about sensations brought it up from recent memory.
That’d be a scary Quirk to defend against, that level of ESP, for security alone
Endeavor's Quirk and fighting style both lend themselves well to both close-quarters combat and long/wide-ranging attacks. That's good for both Todoroki's and Izuku's strong points and areas they need improvement. Whereas with Bakugo, maybe tips with fighting are less important than certain other lessons he could learn.
It occurs to me that if all Hero Course students are doing internships, that could be another reason we had the Joint Training Arc - to show off Class B beforehand because he wants at least some of them to get involved in whatever is going to happen. Basically what I already figured.
Don't Japanese school classes get reshuffled each year? If so many of them would end up in Izuku's class next year.
Some, but not all, schools do that. And it hasn't been mentioned if U.A. is one of those that does, and I doubt it is.
Even if that were the case, though, it doesn't hurt my point.

Actually, I would expect a hero course would reshuffle its students every year, because they will have to be able to work with a variety of different people.
I've seen the question posed that if the National Police Service thinks they're in that need of some reinforcement that they're basically drafting hero students, maybe they should just let cops use Quirks.
What do you think of that?

I imagine they might not be trained in using them. If things get rough firearms should be enough really, super toughness or speed quirks are rare.
Police not using quirks, as I understand it, is a bit of an Honor Before Reason thing. They don't use their quirks because it keeps the public trust in a way. Using their quirks for anything less than life or death would probably feel like breaking an oath to them. A possible side effect of this is that police officers might not necessarily have viable field quirks the way pro heroes do.
In fairness, if police were allowed to use Quirks, I think you could might start seeing Police Brutality get even worse.
Oh, yeah, apparently this week's chapter is supposed to come out early. Something about a holiday in Japan.
Edit: Here's a tweet explaining it.

So we're getting it on Thursday then?
On the flip side, no chapter next week.
/cries single tear/
To be expected during holidays, breaks for everyone.
Though we can't really complain, these people are practically killing themselves to make this stuff.

Yes there is. This isn't a double issue, just an early release. They happen.
according to the spoilers there is a break next week
So, which would you prefer: Deku unlocking all of the Quirks over a relatively short amount of time and the focus mostly being learning to regulate the output like Base One For All, or the unlocking of each one being a gradual, rest of the series long journey?
Depends on what the other quirks are tbh. Black Whip feels more utility based than a true offensive power like Of A.
Given how his learning of Black Whip is going, better get them one by one for a good amount of time. Leave Nana's for some climatic moment, though.
Of course. For proper drama, Deku will unlock Nana's quirk while fighting Shigaraki, as it turns out that the latter inherited his quirk (or the opposite of his quirk) from his grandma.
Ya know, given that Deku is likely somewhat modeled after Peter Parker, when are we going to get some web-slinging antics with Deku using Black Whip?
Have we not already established Shigaraki didn't inherent his Quirk from anyone? Like, I think we've seen enough to say that All For One wasn't lying about any of that.
Although, I can see for dramatic purposes, Nana's still acting as a sort of opposite to what Shigaraki can do. I actually have a few ideas for that.

It would be kind of amusing if Nana's Quirk turned out to be the perfect counter to Decay.
I'm curious if Shigaraki knows about why All For One chose him, specifically. I doubt he would care about the whole "killing your grandmother" thing at this point, but I wonder if he even knows.
Man shadow-slinging sounds so fun.
