"Hatachi sokora" is more "twenty-something" than "exactly twenty"…

[up]It seems more like "20 or so", though. It's an approximation, but "20-something" has the connation that it could be any age from 20-29, which I don't think is supposed to be the implication here.

[up] x4 I have seen quite a few re-reading the series after buying the volumes (should probably write them down to make them easier to remember), but the stand out is the one mentioned on the main page, Stain going "If I don't reclaim my hero status!", which is not correct.

Early twenties or something like that?

Question: Was Ujiko referring to the whole group or Shigaraki in particular when he said that?

[up][up][up]Official translations sometimes makes mistakes. So do the fan translators. No one is perfect but for My Hero at least, I get the impression you actually can usually take the official one as more accurate, even if you could point to some examples of that not being the case.

Because I can certainly point to examples of Mangastream or Jaimini's Box making egregious errors.

[up]Probably just Shigaraki.

[up][up] Seems like he's referring to Shigaraki, but the "twenty-or-so" could be an average. Shigaraki, Spinner and Dabi are most likely in their twenties, Himiko is a bit younger and Twice in his thirties if I recall.

I think Twice is probably also in his twenties. Compress seems to be the oldest of the group.

[up][up]None of them are perfect, which is why it is generally a good idea to wait for more exact info later whenever the translations are a bit unclear.

I should note the official translation has A LOT of speech bubbles switched around, in editions made years after the VIZ translation was made, no correction ever. VIZ be lazy.

[up] Are you talking in general or for MHA in particular?

[up]Only seen one in Haikyuu otherwise, so it's seems to be mostly MHA to me. Can't remember any from Promised Neverland or Dr. Stone.

My favorite is Iida going "REALLY IS LIKE A VIDEO GAME THEN." in chapter 3, and some random person thanking Mic for his explanation of the zero pointer.

Oh, I was reading "hatachi" and "sokora no shakai no gomi" as separate adjectives, but now that you mention, "hatachi sokora" is indeed possible. Yeah, in that case, Shigaraki's age is indeed unclear.

So Deku vs. Muscular was on on Saturday, and while that was never one of my favorite fights, and still isn't, I'd say the anime did elevate it with the music and stuff. So good on it for that.

I'd say that Eri definitely does the whole "giving a little kid hope" thing better, but that's not really surprising considering how she got more focus both before and after getting rescued than Kota.

The dub clearly wasn't expecting this (possibly movie-related) hiatus. Toonami only has 21 episodes left with Season 4 not being available until at least October. We'll have marathons Memorial Day and Labor Day weekend, and possibly July 6-7, too. That still only gets us to mid-September.

We've known season 4 would start in October for awhile, but the movie announcement is recent.

They'll probably just do a couple of reruns until October or something instead of picking up a new series.

I didn't start watching till midway through season 3, are gaps between seasons normally this long?

Lyendith Since: Mar, 2011
#28267: Mar 25th 2019 at 5:48:18 PM

The gap between season 3 and 4 is a bit longer than between season 2 and 3, but for a modern anime a year-long gap isn't particularly long, no. It's even pretty short actually.

There are the oddball series that get two seasons in the same year like Golden Kamuy or Radiant, but that's not the norm.

The extra wait time is 5 months compared to the wait time between season 1 & 2 and 2 & 3 which was 7 months.

So the extra 5 months add up to a full year. Still better than the wait-time of Attack on Titan & One-Punch Man. tongue

Also Hori just made a new twitter pic for the announcement of the new movie of the kids making their own movie.

Nope. Though he did say he lost a bunch after what All Might did to him. No elaboration on why, though.

This whole discussion on Shigaraki's age makes me wonder how old Shimura's kid was when she died and how old they were when they had Shigaraki.

I wonder if one of the previous All-For-One users had a transformation type quirk? If they did it could be played for Body Horror when in starts to manifest.

[up]Best case would probably be Deku having phantom pain from suddenly having a quirk factor to control a non-existent limb. Which would still be quite horrific...

We've seen what most of them look like, and the two silhouettes both seem "normal". Chances of something like that would appear very low.
