So let me be clear about where I stand: Deku secretly not being quirkless would be really dumb. Just, like, how about we don't undermine the point of his character by making it so he was actually born special.
But was if instead of Tiny Deku getting his quirk stolen, the genuinely quirkless Deku was ruled out a potential victim? What if him being quirkless was the only reason he wasn't disappeared and turned into a Noumu? If it the thing that he spent his entire life thinking of as a disadvantage was actually the thing that saved him from a monster? Because that would a thing that would Ujiko's identity the dramatic weight it deserves without compromising Deku's character.
"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."Huh so Winter may be 2020. If it’s in January then then season 4 will have been running for 3 months & should be around the 12-17 episode benchmark.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I don't get the interest in Deku having his quirk stolen all this time either. It add nothing except baggage to the story and his character.
It woupdn't take much for him to not be worth investing in. Remember plenty of quirks exist that have no use for heroing or even for daily life. From having some horns to bendy fingers. Or something as minor as his parents quirks. Even potentially having subpar versions of his mom pr dads quirks, which aren't that great to begin with.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.I agree with Gilphon, and also want to say that I don't think that Deku not actually being Quirkless would work because his life is objectively better this way.
Like, even if he had a Quirk he'd probably still be bullied by Bakugo (because Bakugo's issues with him were deeper than just Izuku being Quirkless) and whatever he had still probably wouldn't let him get into U.A. or be the greatest hero ever or whatever.
So trying to turn him "losing" his Quirk into angst while, sort of understandable, would also fall flat because if that weren't the case he probably wouldn't have the incredible opportunity and future that he does have right now.
If he ever had a quirk I'd assume it was some probability or metaphysical quirk that'd have been fairly useless on its own. Like a quirk that ensures he'll survive unscathed from a lethal injury once a day/week. Which, while useful for survival, isn't useful for any hero work.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. And in this case, it'd raise the question on why they didn't try to get Bakugou's Quirk, anyway. Just at a glance it looks like it's AFO's type.
Wake me up at your own risk. But that's the thing - if he had a shitty Quirk then that makes bring it up pointless, and if it was something good, that makes it super annoying. I can't see any benefit to the story for it.
Similarly, the same thing goes for All Might and those theories about how he really had a Quirk and just somehow didn't know about it for his entire life.
If we're playing that game there's nothing saying that Bakugo went to the same doctor. There's nothing inherently unusual about that.

Did Bakugo even need to go to a quirk doctor in the first place? I thought the reason Inko brought Deku there was because he wasn't already manifesting a quirk at 4 years old, and obviously Bakugo got his before that as seen in flashbacks.
Well, that’d be jus’ a waste. Why would ya want to deprive the world of such anomaly as yourself?Official translation specifically states Shigaraki's age as 20. So the spoiler translations were right, and MS/JB were wrong.
If I'm not mistaken, 20 is the age of majority/adulthood in Japan. Maybe that's partially why All For One decided to start things up when he did; his first mission as an "adult".
He probably figured it was time for his young ward.
Baby's first crime.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Oh wait, possible Deku Quirk theory: he ends up getting hit by one of the Eri bullets and loses OFA. However, Eri's reset also ends up restoring his original stolen Quirk, which he has to rely on for most of the climactic battle.
Addendum to that:
He loses his Quirk in an ultimate battle but in a callback to when Mirio lost his Quirk, he is Brought Down To Badass & still fights on.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."A thought I've had is that he really was Quirkless, but all this One For All business might "awaken" the Quirk he would have had in the first place.
That seems less likely now that we're doing this past users Quirks things, and I don't figure he'd do both of those angles, but maybe...
Speaking of which, there's an angle that hasn't really been addressed - if having multiple Quirks tends to make people lose their mental functions, could that become a problem for Izuku? If that never gets brought up or hand waved away I wouldn't mind, but this has been a fairly prominent plot point, it's gotten mentioned again with Gigantomachia and how he's apparently special because it didn't happen with him so...
OFA might be different since it also has multiple spirits inside it in addition to Quirks. Deku isn't shouldering this burden alone.
Disgusted, but not surprisedUnrelated, but it's weird that a major hero (Wash) had their Quirk shown in a spin-off before the main series. Like, it's hardly surprising that it's water-based, but still.
Just saw the movie in a theater yesterday!
It was... decent. They couldn't have done much better, I guess, considering all the limitations they had to avoid stepping on the main plot's toes, and the fight scenes were pretty badass. More of a "see it whenever it comes out on a streaming service" thing than a "see it in the theater" thing, though.
Wait they are still having it in theaters?
Also there is a certain fun in watching an anime movie on the big screen.
Sure Gundam Narrative wasn't a great movie but I won't deny there's an enjoyment to watching a Gundam product on the Golden Screen.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."In Italy, they screened it in a few select theaters for this weekend only (I guess it took a while to dub it and everything).
x 12
x 4 Well, the guy/girl always struck me as more a gag than anything else, for as little as we have seem them. Leaving such a minor revelation to the spin-off might be fitting.
Line: 何もなしていない二十歳そこらの社会のゴミがワシに何を見せてくれるんじゃ?
The official translation is the correct one here. I’m curious though, when was it wrong before?
I recognize niju (the two horizontal lines followed by the cross), I assume the kanji after it is said (years old).
AFO once ruled from the shadows I wouldn't rule out he had his followers rig the science to benefit hs plans. People have done that for ages.
