I wonder how they're keeping Kurogiri anywhere at all. Is he, like, in an artificial coma or something?

Remember that his warp gates can only be opened from certain body parts: his hands and his head, it seems. Keep those restrained and you can probably keep him from porting away.

Are his hands and head not made up of mist? How do you restrain that?

Huh, good point; but they probably found a way. Maybe we'll see him in prison eventually and get the answer.

I am interested in Kurogiri's deal; he and Mr. Compress are the only ones we don't really have any insights into their motivations for this. Even the guys who got captured at the camp had some discernable motivation, even if it was just implied jealousy (Mustard), or a desire to kill for the sake of it (Muscular and Moonfish).

I thought they weren't necessarily made of mist but always had mist covering them.

He definitely uses the mist to cover most of his body, but I don't think it's actually been made clear if he's just emitting it from his hands and head and those are "normal" underneath it too, or if those parts actually are made of the stuff.

Bakugo grabbed something so there has to be a solid body part under that mist.

[up] He grabbed that metal neck brace he wears, I think it's implied he needs that to keep his body from dissipating.

I don't see how that's the implication. Again, most of his body is explicitly solid, he's not actually made of mist.

How do you restrain that?

Keeping him in a space too tight to fit a portal in?

SalFishFin Since: Jan, 2001

The neck/torso brace protects the parts of his body that can't turn into mist/aren't made up of mist.

One thing of note is that he seems to need to remain comtiguous to a certain extent, so maybe they're using that to keep him there somehow.

So Muscular & Moonfish are most likely locked up in Tartarus.

I wonder if Mustard’s there too.

Huh all 3 of them have names that start with M.

How to restrain Kurogiri and his quirk:

1. Put his hands into fishbowls.

2. Put a old timey diving helmet on top of his head.

3. Seal them up with shackles to prevent leaking.

4. Strap him up.

5. Feed him through an IV.

6. Done.

(7. Drug him up so he can't keep a clear set of coordinates in his head, since that was a requirement too for his quirk to work.)

Not that complicated.

IIRC Moonfish was on death row before he escaped and joined the League.

Yep; according to Compress all of his appeals were denied.

Out of curiosity, they do mostly cremations in Japan, right?

Even for death row inmates?

That's right. Not a lot of space for burials.

Just asked in case there were people with "re-animator" type quirks running around.

(Not true resurrection, but merely re-animation, like how we play characters in video games...requiring an actual dead body to manipulate first, that is.)

Just in case.

(wait)

If there's little space, does it mean they bury people standing once they actually bury them?

Now we need a villain with a Ash Reanimation Quirk.

Whose quirk reanimates ash into into undead legions similar to Zombie Jutsu in Naruto but no killing people to summon them.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.

Teeny, tiny island Nippon is.

Oddly enough if you look at the actual numbers, Japan is larger than the UK in terms of area. It's just that so much of it is mountainous that causes problems.

I'm curious how deep anti-mutation discrimination runs. Like, Shoji and maybe Tsu would probably get some slurs thrown at them, but what about the "Weird head on an otherwise human body" gang? What about people like Mina and Bubble Girl who are just Palette Swapped humans?

Spinner's remarks suggest that it's more of a common issue in the countryside or, presumably, other places where more conservative thought prevails.

I think Tsuyu came from such a place, if I'm remembering her backstory omake correctly, but don't hold me to that.

We do know where all of the students were born, but it would take someone more versed in Japanese geography and demography than I am to say what's specifically "the country" or not.

I think Koda is, though.
