Gigantomachia basically said what I've been thinking for a while now - the League hasn't had any serious muscle ever since they lost Muscular and Moonfish. And then Mange died...
So, yeah, this is good. Giran is surprisingly, I don't know if "honorable" is the right word, but something. I don't imagine things are going to go well for him past this point though.
Giran is shown to be loyal going by how he won’t rat out the League due to repaying a debt to AFO & is principled considering how he doesn’t make deals with people who kidnap & beat the shit of him.
The last one makes a lot of sense. He runs a business & how can you run one if there isn’t a fine distinct line of respect between the consumer & producer?

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."It's so weird to me that now Mangastream is the more accurate one given their history with Bleach and Naruto
It is funny that Giran's line of telling the CEO to crawl back in its dad's ballsack was apparently in the original script.
It was a 1.1 as much translation which is quite amusing cause damn Giran's got quite a mouth.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."All Might hasn't lost his hero instincts along with his powers, that's for sure.
Reaction Image RepositoryYou know, I've been wondering what Gigantomachia's actual situation is - because apparently he hasn't been in contact with the League/All for One, and Kurogiri had to actively search for him, hence getting captured.
And though I'm assuming they worked things out, clearly his first encounter with the League proper didn't go amicably.
He was crying while kicking the shit out of them, what's up with that? Also, that radio he always had with him isn't to be seen.
He could be crying for AFO not being there to greet him or something.
It feels like Machina have a great deal of trust in the man, considering the reaction. The same amount of trust that a adopted stray cat would have to its owner, that is.
And if the cat parallels are to be applied here, then it's no wonder the LOV couldn't find him. Cats are a bit special in that regard...and to be fair, how many cat owners can actually find their cats if letting them outdoors to roam freely?
But I do like that there's not just an instant Undying Loyalty involved just because of the change of leadership, since that would have been paradoxical to what undying loyalty would be in the first place.
Shigaraki has to earn that loyalty after all... And raw power is not going to cut it.
Maybe talking Machina down would do the trick?
He was crying because these new Lo V members were way too weak for him.

So...Blood Knight to the utmost extreme?
(Wonder if he would say the same if he met Muscular and brawled it out with him, considering how much force it took to bring that nutcase down...)
My take on it was that he wept to see the followers of All For One were so weak. "Is this my master's army? A field of straw? Has the might of one who once bestrode the world come to naught? Woe, my master. Woe, this accursed world."
Yes, in my head Gigantomachia is a frustrated Shakespearean actor.
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise.Kirishima's flashback did suggest that Gigantomachia holds All For One in high, if not godlike esteem. So his successor being at this level would be disappointing.
It strikes me that this is also a parallel to the UA kids' education. Their initial school days were spent refining control and technique, then built into power grinding. Shigaraki has had to learn how to be a proper, charismatic leader. Now he needs to build the power to truly back it up.

Looks like Giran will be the Magne of this arc (a personal connection to the League so they have a grudge), except instead of being murdered right away, he's probably going to be tortured for awhile.
You know, it might be cool if Mina got some gauntlets like that guy. Yeah, she's worked on her range by pinching her fingers and stuff, but technology is better and all that.
So that tall person, with the long, dark hair, do you think they're supposed to be a man or a woman? I'm honestly not sure.

Why not both?
(Hey, with quirks involved, who knows what is what, right?)
That aside, the LOV is not going to be happy to see their supplier being beaten/killed off by the LA...Wonder what they'll do to get a new suppli-...?
(silent pause.)
Okay, now the benefits of them winning against the LA become a little more clearer.
Access to the black market with support items and the combat data gathered from having it tested on pro-heroes. Not to mention better equipment for themselves. Influence, economic income... and technology to possibly reverse-engineer and manufacture more of the AQ-bullets they still have from their previous overhaul (pun intended) with the last group of villains they destroyed...
This is getting pretty high-stake...

Speaking of secret family villain drama, Gigantomachia is really similar to Kirishima. He's got the same hair, and looks like a Goron, aka has rocky skin, which can easily be an offshoot relative of Kirishima's own hardening quirk. Not likely, but it's something to keep in mind. Considering Kirishima and Ashido's past with him, it would be cool if they were integral in taking him down. Perhaps Ashido weakening him and softening him up (literally), then Kirishima going in for the finisher with Unbreakable.
I've seen that been brought up before and really wouldn't want it to be the case.
But people really like trying to make connections like that here: "Maybe All for One is Izuku's Dad!", "Maybe Nana is related to Izuku Mom (and by extension Izuku)!" (that one at least has some sort of reference in story, even though it's still most likely symbolic), "Maybe Nana is related to Momo!", "Maybe Momo and Yui Kodai are related!", "Maybe Aoyama and Gentle are related!" and probably others.
I do imagine that Kirishima and Mina will be involved with... whatever happens with Gigantomachia at some point, but not necessarily with what's going to happen in this arc.

I could see like maybe one or two of those theories having some basis, but any more than that and it just becomes too much. And I'm pretty sure the whole Dabi thing is already filling that niche, so I'm not seeing many more connections between the rest of the cast cropping up.
I could see some of them being treated as thematic foils to each other, but any actual backstory relationships feel really unlikely.
Reaction Image RepositoryYou know, I (and others) have brought up the possibility of some of the previous OFA users being villains before. If that turns out to be the case, it might be interesting to have the vestiges of those trying to hinder Izuku and that being another thing he has to figure out.
Not sure how likely I find that though, because while that's my go to theory on the silhouetted users for now, it'll probably be something like their conscious' want One for All to overall succeed.
I've seen the theory that Destro was a wielder of One For All who passed it on because he saw potential in his successor helping show quirks as a force for good that ought to be kept free. But then, it also potentially falls apart because why would One for All remain a secret under him or a successor he'd choose if they were so big on quirk freedom and strutting their stuff as part of the liberation army.
Of course we dunno much about Destro right now, so this is all still pretty broad storkes speculation, but I could at least see someone dogmatic like him potentially being a villain who would pass it on to someone heroic if that hero fit his criteria.

Nice to see that the LA are prepared in their involvement within the black market and their self-destructing devices to cover their tracks. (I thought that "Soda Pop" were about to go One-Winged Angel when his shackles started hissing like they did... glad to be wrong about that.)
That aside, I suspect that one of the LA members got some brainwashing or mind-reading quirk in their mist, since the CEO doesn't seem that upset or worried about the defiance from the LOV dealer...
But of course, it's better to just wait and see.
