As far as the comparison goes, they're both good; the anime doesn't change any substantial plot points. The main difference is that it expands a bit on some things that were only briefly covered in the manga, or were talked about but happened off screen. So on the plus side, it clarifies a few things, but on the minus, it's slightly slower paced as a result.
Reaction Image RepositoryIndeed.
The anime added some extra stuff to show what the other students were doing during the exam.
We didn't see a lot of them in the manga.
It did a similar thing with Asui's internship too.
We can assume that we'll see more of Todoroki and Bakugou's final test as well when the anime gets to it.
One Strip! One Strip! It occurs to me that one reason we skipped their final test will be because we're about to see Todoroki and Bakugo apply those skills in an actual, real-life scenario. In which case, the anime showing the test, and then doing this would be redundant.
Another reason, as I already mentioned, might just be that it's a cooler way to show off they got their licenses besides just telling people.
It seems there's been a bit of an edit war concerning an Ambiguously Gay entry in Kirishima's profile
I think that's more Ho Yay than anything
Uni catThe more I think about it, this Destro descendant was being really reckless and dumb
Mouse dude had a pretty hilarious takedown on the LA
But it’s telling the first thing the CEO does is time to murder, after a cursory check if this guy has anyone who will check if he’s missing
I get why he does it, but yeah, you’d think someone who’s trying to keep the villainy on the down low wouldn’t take that chance even if he thinks it’s possible to get away with it. Especially when you’re trying to represent your ideology as respectable.
It’s like if some alt righter head figure like Jordan Peterson was secretly snapping critics’ necks all along because how dare they point out how bad the ideology is.
Not a spicy take, but just something I’m thinking about. Because I’m wondering if Shigaraki at this point would have done the same. I’m speculating that the contrast between the Lo V and this new group will be that the Lo V will be smarter and more pragmatic and at least not self righteous.
Considering the League of self admitted card carrying villains who just want to fuck up society, yeah the new dudes being more self righteous (even if they are equally awful) is not something that would surprise me.

One Strip! One Strip!I remember now.
I’m fantasizing more of some grizzled dude who does that but also privately worries and making sure he’s got an out because Lo V is kind of crazy
I think it's a mistake to talk as if the League has a single unifying philosophy. The individual members have their own goals and thoughts, and Shigarki isn't above using those to further his own. That was actually a major point of growth for him.
What they do have is a willingness to use the same violent tactics to try and achieve their individual goals.

I do kinda see a point to the Meta Liberation Army's motivation, I know some people will say it's political but I see a fairly big difference between gun control and something that's quite literally a part of you. I wouldn't be surprised quirk laws were made back when quirks were still a minority and they've never bothered to change because it was just more "convenient". Gran Torino even said the only reason he became a pro hero was so that he could use his quirk as he saw fit, it's likely many other heroes and even villains have the same reason.
I mean, the laws probably could be re-written, but there's a difference between "improve regulation" and "no regulation, whatsoever." I feel like it should be pretty obvious why the latter would be bad here.
But whether they have a point isn't the actual issue, the whole murder and terrorism parts are the issue.

Crazy idea - what if a relative of one of the 1-A students is either part of the Liberation Army guy or is secretly funding them, like, say, Yaoyorozu's parents?
I love family drama.
Oh God! Natural light!

Becoming the majority probably helped with that. It starts to sound silly calling them something that implies they're inhumane or supernatural, when the majority of people have them. And they've been the majority at least since All Might was young.
