You know, I would have been fine with a 3 to 2 win for either class, but throwing a tie in there just feels off like this.
So are we going with the take away being that he's going to have to modulate the new Quirks just like he does One for All itself, and won't be able to use any of them at full power, until he can use the main power at full power? That probably makes the most sense.
I’d asssume so.
His expertise with the others would also be contingent on his mastery of One for All besides individual work. Said Quirks are gonna be stronger for him after all this time so he needs to be careful.
I would like to see the other Quirks being helpful in combat but also very utility based. Webbing is already super helpful in most works and I strongly suspect Horikoshi based it off Spider-Man.
Maybe he’ll get a vision based power? Healing factor would be too much. I wouldn’t be surprised if an energy blast power is the final one
So I'm really looking forward to the conversations that should be inevitable after all this, but we'll probably have to deal with the denouncement first.
Which is okay, I guess, but I'm kind of burnt out now that the matches are actually over.
Here's to hoping that Izuku won't suddenly become one of those main characters who doesn't ask the obvious questions any human being would ask in his position, and just straight up asks what Nana's original Quirk was.
Deku: “Hey, All-Might, what was Nana’s Quirk?”
All-Might: “Oh, microscopic vision.”
Deku: “Awesome, that’ll be easy.”
Vestige!Nana: “Haha, no it won’t!”
-later-
Deku: “I CAN SEE INTO FOREVER.”
(For real, though, it’d be interesting if even relatively innocuous Quirks were much harder to deal with thanks to Of A amplifying them.)
Oh God! Natural light!I have to say, I appreciate the genuine insights into Monoma's mind. I didn't have a problem with him before, but it's still good that characters like this can be more than just a joke, or at least, the joke based on something more important.
Oh, and he's extended his time to 10 minutes and can copy a maximum of four Quirks, good to know.
I wonder if being able to copy four is new and that's why he still only has three watches, or if it's a deliberate ploy so that people think his maximum is three.
Yeah, I'm not sure how many Quirks he can carry now - after all, while it was certainly good strategy to assume he had Brainwash, we never actually see him use it.

Oh? When was that?

Oh God! Natural light! We never see him use it because no one ever took the bait. But he definitely copied Size, Poltergeist, and Twin Impact.
As they bring up, tactically speaking, not copying Shinso's would not have made any sense.
Although, now that I think about it, he also copied One for All. So either he let it override one he already had (in which case, I'd guess Size), or he can copy at least five.

"Hey Bro, thanks for helping me get a new power up. No hard feelings right?"
"Fuck you"
Honestly, I know its not going to happen, but I'd feel pretty cheated if I were Shinsou. Because this is the second time he's lost to Deku because the latter just gets a new power up. Its incredibly frustrating after knowing how hard Shinsou's been working.

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I figured people would look at it that way, but can't really.
Because, like, Shinso stood no chance against Izuku normally without brainwashing him; that's just a fact. And even if he did win their encounter here, all that really says is that Shinso, with a weapon, could beat Izuku fighting without his Quirk. Yay?
I wouldn't have minded if Shinso's team had won, but him beating Izuku in a straight one-on-one encounter was never going to happen.

I don't think so. It seems like a power freak out like this was going to happen eventually no matter what, Shinso just helped get it in check before he really hurt anyone. That's legitimately something for him to be proud of himself for.
Speaking of which, Izuku was saying how much it hurt when Black Whip was going crazy, so I guess this limitation shouldn't be that surprising.
Shinsou might not've beaten Deku, but he absolutely proved himself an asset to his team who could deserve a spot in the hero program. Considering that he's functionally coming from behind, I think he made a pretty good account of himself.
Reaction Image RepositoryI wonder how quickly the transfer will happen. For awhile I had been assuming Shinso would finish out the school year where he is, and the transfer would happen at the start of their second year, but since this is apparently the test that determines it, I guess he'll be transferred in at the start of the last semester of their current year.
If I have the timeline right the second semester should be ending in about a month, then they have winter break. I wonder if we're going to skip by all of that, or if something important is going to happen during that time.
As long there's time for U.A.-Valentine Day shenanigans in February then I'll be happy.
(Class A member who gets the most chocolate of them all: Momo. For obvious reasons.)
(Class A member who gets the least amount of chocolate: Mineta. total amount: 1 st. Pity-chocolate. By a guy.)
did we passed that holiday already or is it still possible to see it ahead as things are now in-story?

I will say that while I liked the conclusion to the third match, i think Horikoshi could have gotten away with just having Class A lose that match. Would make things look much more even.
