Something else I'm curious to see, are any new support items he gets to help with the new Quirks. Obviously can't speculate about that until we know what they actually are, but that's one of the aspects I'm most interested in with this series in general.
Not for nothing, I noticed this time that Black Whip was coming directly out of the grooves on his gloves which got me thinking about this more.

So I got into a, let's say, "discussion" with someone about Eri the other day, and while that person wasn't arguing in good-faith or particularly pleasant, I still do have to wonder what Eri's purpose in the story is going to be.
I've been thinking she's going to get kidnapped by the League of Villains, but I also think that might feel too repetitive. though I guess it depends on what exactly they'd want to do with her.
Admittedly, the idea of Shigaraki trying to be to her what All for One was to him, conceptually, sounds intriguing to me.
Not if it means forcing her to test it on living beings in a way that could potentially erase them.
In case you haven't realized, Eri is kind of a special case.
Seriously, do you really think putting a child who is still recovering from a lifetime of trauma in front of a Nomu and telling her "Okay, try to reverse its mutations without erasing it!" is a good idea?

Disgusted, but not surprisedAlso, apparently using Black Whip causes him considerable pain, so I suppose that puts the Instant Expert worries to bed.
Oh God! Natural light!I think people are stuck on the "hard work" angle because its a shonen & the whole he was born without a power & they figured it be about him working hard to overcome.
Apparently not becoming Batman was the bad option.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."That and a collection of secondary messages, one of which is "work hard, yes, but a certain degree of natural talent is required for some undertakings". Like, anybody can eventually learn to do complex math, but that doesn't mean anybody can go on to earn a degree in Theoretical Mathematics or something.

I've also seen the justification that if Aizawa, Tooru, & Mineta can become heroes then a Quirkless Deku should have become a hero too.
Ah the life lesson of "Sometimes you need more than just dreams & spunk to achieve it".
Monsters U. taught this. Good lesson, good lesson for the kids.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Besides, Deku worked hard to get One For All and had to work even harder after getting it.

Completely ignoring that Aizawa has a major equalizer in his quirk, Tooru can just be invisible and also act as a flash grenade if she wanted, and Mineta, despite his status as a joke character, has a legitimately versatile and powerful quirk.
Yeah, people who try to come up with justifications for Batman Deku are not arguing in good faith.

Just read the vigilantes chapter.
Damn, of course now that they're trying to make him somewhat sympathetic, that's when the Death Flags start dropping.
One Strip! One Strip!
