I do wonder how long it'll take to unlock or reveal all the Quirks. It sounds like they're all available now, and Deku's room had scorch marks, so that's at least one more. Plus the wording in the official translation seemed to say that they're all up.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Speaking of the official translation: https://www.viz.com/shonenjump/my-hero-academia-chapter-213/chapter/17646?action=read

I don't think either of those examples really works to illustrate those points particularly well, let alone work as an analog here.
All of the discussion has kind of gotten me interested in reading Flame of Recca, though.
People are just using it as shorthand to describe how they without much regard as to whether the comparisons actually make sense or not. Plus people have always been calling Deku a Naruto rip-off though admitably calling him an Ichigo is rather new even if again it doesn’t make sense either.
Though yeah I too am more interested in Flame of Recca now. The creator of that seiries also made Mar which I remember watching on Toonami years ago.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Yeah, for all of Ichigo's various bloodlines and such, he never really got multiple powers so much as his one or two powers constantly getting upgraded.
That's why, having never read Flame of Recca, my first impressions were Beet the Vandel Buster and Rave Master, since their heroes' main gimmick was having multiple powers.

Also heard someone compare it to Rave Master, because apparently the hero had a super upgrading sword or something.
Edit: Huh, partially
'd.

It also shows that people’s reference pools can be really fucking small.
Everything’s always gotta be a Naruto rip-off, as if that’s the only shonen series that’s every existed. The medium is wider than just the Triple-A stuff after all.
Yeah I remember that, Haru had a sword that has multiple forms or something giving him several distinct abilities.

And I recall reading some stuff about Beets. Shame about the hiatus, another good one stuck in that pit.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Rave Master's hero, Haru Glory, had a sword that could take on up to ten different forms. Initially he only had about three, counting the base "iron sword" form as one, but upon receiving an item, the Rave of Knowledge, he could call upon the others as needed. The catch became that the higher up in forms Haru got, the less controllable/accessible they became because the sword was made specifically for Haru's predecessor, necessitating the weapon be reforged specifically for Haru before he could get the tenth and final form.
Beet the Vandel Buster has warriors who can use personal weapons called Saiga. Saiga were normally One Person, One Power, but the main character, Beet, has five because the warriors he looked up to sacrificed their Saiga to save his life. As a result he had five Saiga, normally advanced Buster skills, while having zero skill in the more basic abilities like magic use, with one character even commenting he learns everything backwards. His proficiency with the weapons varied, with Beet favoring some over others unless required to use them.

There are five Rave Stones in Rave Master, and they unlock the new forms for Gary's sword as he progressively obtains them. The Rave of Knowledge allows him to use the forms as soon as he receives them instead of dealing with How Do I Shot Web? moments
Remember when Eri was on Deku's back and he was forced to keep throwing out 100% attacks to break his bones so he could have something for her to keep rewinding? And everyone talked about how immensely broken this made him now, as if the narrative would just conveniently have Eri around whenever there was a big threat that needed punching super hard? And remember how. That distinctly hasn't happened?
The fact that we're seeing this same reaction to this is just. Hilarious. We don't know the 6 other quirks. We don't know how he activates them. Like, what, he has Venom Web now. Amazingly broken. That one might just be the least situational power in his arsenal for all we know. We don't even know if he'll be able to use more than one at once, or if he has to swap them out.

The new power stuff is interesting and anxious to see how it plays out but honestly, I'm still kind of more interested in him being able to talk to One for All Ghosts and find out their histories.
Frankly, it never made any sense that people thought that would happen. I can at least understand people being apprehensive about this, even though it seems like a lot of people are really are just jumping to conclusions based on nothing.

Really though, I'm glad this is continuing, even though I still think it's kind of weird. I wanted to see more from everyone involved.
And I guess since Aizawa is right there now he can easily step in if he has to.
