I actually read that manhua as well. It's got the issues I have with a lot of manhua, in that it kind of goes all over the place and doesn't explain things well, but the whole thing about a hero doubting that they're that great of a hero was a pretty interesting perspective. Might have held more weight if he sold all the super-rare loot he'd collected and started a charity foundation, or became a social worker, or something, rather than just be a NEET.

The way I see it, the guy was just totally burned out by the Hero thing, to the point that he didn't have the motivation to be anything but a NEET. And considering everything he's implied to have done as Zero, one can't blame him for that.

Disgusted, but not surprisedIt's kind of something One-Punch Man does as with it's own MC. He's literally the strongest character in the setting with nothing even coming close to his level, but he has no real motivation to do anything beyond just...living a completely ordinary life.
Even his reason for being a hero is because he was disillusioned with his job as a salaryman and thought being a hero would be an exciting hobby...and then he became too strong to the point where he got bored of that too.
It's so bad that even his reputation is shit with the public because he doesn't look or act like what many see a hero as despite his displays of power.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.

In the distant future, Deku wipes out all of humanity, ending all crime and disaster and becomes the greatest (and only) hero.
