I know that, I'm asking why this particular rendition of a boar looks like an abomination with little nubby feet.

A thought occurs to me: Dabi's hair isn't dyed, it's burnt. Would also explain the different texture compared to the kid we see in the flashbacks that's probably/definitely him.
Sounds kind of silly, but also strikes me as something that could happen here because manga, and would be another way to emphasize how much his own flames have fucked him up.

Wouldn't burnt hair just fall off, though? Like in general hair isn't really tough enough to stay on once you burn it.
Reaction Image RepositoryJust say the hair is really strong from having to be on a person with fire powers anyway. I don't know, if it's the case I doubt an actual explanation will be given. It'll just be something to go with.
Anyway, I've seen it proposed this guy is the Second, and these little visions will proceed in order of inheritance from now on. Simple enough, I could see that being the case.
The fridge horror of animals with Quirks. "This pigeon emits high levels of radiation when it's startled. This bee colony has a taste for human flesh." Not to mention the food industry where any given individual animal could have all kinds of horrific and harmful internal mutations that nobody can even know to look for prior to it being processed. "Uh, we got another rapid healing factor here that kicked in after it was already at the deli."

It will be once those quirked animals starts reproducing...
(which, depending on the animal, might go a whole lot faster than it does for a human...and animals grow up faster as well...)
Imagine a quirked rabbit with a dangerous quirk (like turning it into the killer rabbit from Monthy Python for example) started spreading its quirk among the quirkless rabbit population... and nobody finds out until their numbers measures up into six-digits...
Imagine that...
There's probably a reason animals with Quirks are so rare, even with most animals' far greater reproductive capability compared to humans.
Perhaps animal Quirks have a near zero chance of being passed down to their offspring. Or maybe animals who manifest Quirks also become sterile, meaning they are genetic dead ends.

Disgusted, but not surprised
