Would Aizawa's quirk kill Dark Shadow?

Like, I'm sure it wouldn't kill Dark Shadow, but seeing as it is, to an extent, it's own creature I have to wonder how it would react.

The main question is whether it would basically just make Dark Shadow lose all of its power (i.e. paralyzing it) or whether it would just prevent Tokoyami from controlling it properly.

[up][up][up] If he got hit by one of the Eri bullets, that might kill Dark Shadow.

Aizawa doesn't get rid of Quirks, he just stops you from using them.

Yeah, but would Dark Shadow just not move or would it dissipate until the next time Tokoyami summons it?

I have similar questions about how it would work with Shinso's Quirk. Stopping him from being able to brainwash new people is a given, but what if he already has someone brainwashed? Would they snap out of it, would Shinso just not be able give them orders, or would he even be able to continue to control them normally?

For that matter, would looking at someone Shinso has brainwashed, but not Shinso himself, snap the person out of it?

how would it affect chapter 1's slime guy?

I'd quietly retcon him as a Trigger mutant personally.

Slime guy is a mutation. He's always slime. Maybe Erasure would immobilize him, or maybe it's heteromorphic enough that it can't be erased.

Speaking of which...

"Mutants"

I actually feel kind of bad for them, since in contrast to the Transmitters and Transformers, they're stuck with their, potentially, cumbersome bodies 24/7. Some perhaps in need for constant social support in order to provide for their physical shortcomings such as housing and the like.

Not to mention being the group most often mistaken as being "villains" by appearance alone most of the time.

I wonder how the mutants in the MHA-verse would react upon reading the X-Men series and what they would think about it upon seeing the characters in there classed as "mutants" as well, with the MHA-verse classification in the back of their mind...

Everyone seems to be cool with most mutants so long as they don't look abjectly terrifying. Nobody double-takes at Tokoyami's bird head or Ashido's... everything.

Though I suppose those mutants who get in the way of others might get some stares and glares.

I remember that weird dinosaur looking mutant who shows up in a show near the beginning of the anime. The thing was a blue-green color and everything.

or Ashido's... everything.

What, she has horns and unusual pigmentation. That's not that much, it's just that her skin and hair are such a bright, eye catching colour (and her eyes give off a really strong contrast.)

She’d be pretty easy to get right in live-action.

It’s like a combination of Gamora’s skin-color & Mantis’ eyes.

When I said nobody double-takes, I meant that nobody seems to consider it weird. They look at her and go "oh, she's pink. Whatever."

[up][up][up] First: Excellent![tup] ... [up] Second: I think the problems mutants faces are less about being alienated and stared out, as it is to find living commodities that allow them to live normal lives like everyone else.

A guy with a shark head (but no human neck) for example would be stuck in an existence where he constantly is staring straight up (and at the sides, but never be able to see what's right in front of them, as a massive shark snout is in the way of that) for the rest of his life. Imagine what needs to be done in order to give him a somewhat normal life. (and this is just assuming he doesn't have only gills to breath with as well, which would require a life-support gear akin of Abe from Hellboy...)

Just as one example.

Stuff like that is sad, but it also actually exists. People being born with hereditary or otherwise genetic disabilities, sometimes accompanied with extreme physical attributes that they have to deal with their entire lives, is a thing that happens to real people.

And since Quirks have been around for apparently well over 100 years, they've apparently gotten really good at accommodating different body-types. This world seems much better about that than the real world, actually.

Reference to the scene of Iida and Shoji in the mall trying on stuff that's designed to fit their legs and arms.

I just realized something.

Vigilantes suggests that Midnight can use her sleep pheromone as a sort of mind control. But, at least in English, her quirk is named "Somnambulist." That's the medical term for a person who sleepwalks. So it might actually be that she can choose to give directions to the people she puts to sleep. Which also fits her dominatrix aesthetic, now that I think about it.

The Japanese name is 眠り香 (roughly “sleep fragrance”) and it implies none of that.

It'll be appropriate if we get the anticipated Izuocha moment in the next chapter, then. I remember the fandom making a big deal when the hand-holding moment that really solidified the romance in Naruto came out on Hinata's birthday.

Does anyone actually read these?
