I don't remember Kenshin doing anything like that. The closest I can think of is Sanosuke's Futae no Kiwami, a technique where he punches first with his fingers to nullify the target's resistance then continues the punch with the rest of the fist for an Armor-Piercing Attack.
Yeah, though Sanosuke's thing is more similar to what Deku's iron soles do. This guy's quirk is being able to replicate an impact once whenever at his discretion. Like a time bomb of sorts. Seems pretty useful. With a quirk like that I'd have thought he'd have trained more toward being a physical fighter.

Yeah, but his outfit didn't really give off that impression. The scouter on his eye and the gauntlet monitor, the high collar, don't really seem like an outfit for someone who'd get in close and throw punches. They seem more geared toward him staying at a distance and manipulating impacts from afar.
How does he detect them though? (Without the support gear, and the collisions that is.)
Sonar?
...
And the reason I ask about time travel quirks, is due to how delicate and dangerously easy they can become big reset buttons in a story. You all must have at least one example of one of those being used in a bad manner, I think.
So constructing one that doesn't turn it into a big reset button in this verse was the question here, and getting its specifics wrong would break the sense of suspense.
I'm merely asking for some helpful constructive advice regarding that, that's all. ...
On other things, I wonder if there's a limit on how big of a blast that he can redirect with "Twin Impact" before it becomes too much and too dangerous to handle. There has to be a force limit there somewhere...
I doubt how he knows actually matters, just that knows it happens seems to be enough to give him something to work with.
Going off of the description he's not "redirecting" anything, he's causing another impact/shockwave/damage/whatever to happen based on one that's already happened.

I agree that time travel powers are easily abused and can go badly, which is why I understand your reluctance for them. At the same time, though, I think you do need to involve actual temporal transportation of some sort, otherwise it isn't really time travel.
Personally, I'd recommend using ERASED as a reference point - a form of Mental Time Travel that activates involuntarily might be what you're looking for. In what direction it would work would probably depend on whether you think the past should be capable of being changed, although I suppose it's always possible that only certain events could be changed?
Putting a limit on the amount of time that can be travelled would also probably help.

Oh God! Natural light!
That still doesn't sound like what he's doing.
He's not directly redirecting or magnifying anything, he's causing an entirely new shock that happens to be based on the location and power (indirectly) of a different way.
It doesn't even sound like he necessarily has to do it immediately either. And on that point, I am interested on the time frame of this - how long is too long for him to do anything.

Well, I guess there is not enough of details regarding the power to make any certain assumptions about it... kind of like "Poltergeist" and its limitation "heavy as a person". We simply don't know enough.
(Had to go back to the chapter after your latest comment just to get sure of the specifics... and also noted that Monoma has three stop-watches activated when Deku finds him, so he got three powers to play with for the coming struggle.)
That aside, it's a side-effect of the power and he should have some control of direction, otherwise they would fly all over the place.

Interesting...
I did see Erased (read it too) and understand the concept. Thanks for your advice on a construct.

Alright we got our first visual for season 4.
Deku & Lemillion declaring "I'll become your hero" to we know who.
Also its apparently premiering in October next year.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."

So I've heard that Nirengeki's Quirk is similar to something from Rurouni Kenshin, does anyone know what? Something with the main character, I think?
