I believe the Gauntlets let him use his powers more safely, but they are still just as strong without them.
One Strip! One Strip!Tetsutestsu good with endurance though. Granted, Bakugo is much better in close combat than Todoroki is. So I still think it could have been tough. Even Bakugo's fight with Kirishima was enough to make him sweat a bit.
Yea, it would literally just come down to endurance and I think it's been firmly established that Bakugo is literally the most determined person in the entire class when it comes to winning.
Definitely more than Shouto "Muh Daddy issues" Todoroki.

Eeyup. Gotta draw out that family arc for as long we can :V.
It's pretty funny; Bakugo & Todoroki kind of have the opposite problem. They're both naturally gifted people, but the former actually has the drive to keep improving but just has severe behavioral problems that hinder him. While the latter has a levelheaded attitude, he has almost no drive due to psychological issues from his childhood. Go figure.

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Todoroki's main issue is that he solved one problem at around the same time he came down with another. At first, he had a ton of drive and ambition to become a great hero without using his fire powers as a way to spite his father. He overcame the aversion to using his fire powers, but at the same time, his relationship with his father started to change, and now he doesn't have that spite powering his determination. He's still determined, but his motivations are a bit more hazy now.

His drive before was as
said, to be a hero without using his fire to spite his father. The fight with Deku helped him realize that was only hurting himself and that he wasn't really accomplishing anything by doing that, which prompted him to use his fire.
However, this also meant that he lost his original motivation, which only got more complicated once his relationship with Endeavor began to change.
But yea, it's not that Shouto doesn't have any drive, he still wants to be his own hero. The problem is that he doesn't know what type of hero he wants to be because he spent 10 years of his life focused on what he didn't want, he doesn't really have a grasp on what he does want.
Deku wants to be a hero who saves and helps people, Bakugo wants to be a hero who always wins and never gives up, Shouto wants to be a hero for.....?

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Uraraka's the one in it for the money (albeit for more selfless reasons, and she definitely cares about helping people).
As for Todoroki...I am curious what sort of hero he wants to be. Maybe it'll relate to Dabi or something like that?
Oh God! Natural light! The impression I've gotten is that he wants to be like All Might, and he wants to be like All Might because All Might was all thing things that Endeavor wasn't - warm (heh), caring, not concerned with blood-ties, someone who was hero just because it was the right thing to do.
You get that more when he says he wants to be a hero who can reassure people, and flashbacks to watching All Might when he was little.
I was thinking along similar lines, actually. Like, a hero who can...heal people, almost? Deku helped him work through his issues and become a better person, so he, in turn, wants to help other people be better?
Again, I feel like Dabi could factor into this.

Oh God! Natural light!

Hmm...here’s a question - if Honezuki had managed to slip under Bakugo and soften his gauntlets, would that have been able to limit his capabilities somewhat?
