More like "What if All For One actually had a real friend back before his time that kept him in line."
(I can see it in a AU fic already...All For One having a quirkless girlfriend which he never bestow with a quirk out of respect for a woman that actually doesn't give in too him and keeps him from becoming a villain in return, guiding him to use his power in a more heroic manner instead. However, this allowed someone worse to step up as the villain overlord of quirks instead (Let's humor the thought and call this villain "Alfa And Omega", the quirk capable of creating a Hive Mind with whoever it touches, allowing the members to keep their quirks, but being under complete control of the user who directs them like extensions of itself), prompting the creation of One For All as a way to get backup before the big fight in order to bring this supervillain down. After a hard fight, "A&O" ends up beaten, but not before using its quirk on One For All and through its hereditary characteristics, and immunity to All For One's power, be allowed to still roam free after laying low for a couple of decades, deliver a backstabbing to All For One, and then grow in power by passing through person to person, until present day, where All For One, who lost the woman who molded him into the path of heroism at the day he got backstabbed and kept alive by a regen-quirk but still in the same poor shape as the canon All for One, is forced to find a new successor in order to bring down the old menace "A&O"/"One For All" down, in order to let the memory of his loved ones to rest at last...While also fighting against the Hive Mind that spreads its tentacles through society under the guise of a "hero", hoarding new pieces and adding them to itself as a colony called the "Hero Industry"...)
(And cue him crossing paths with a certain pale-haired child in an alleyway, in desperate need for help and guidance...)
Okay, I went on and on here, but the idea just sounded so untouched in terms of fanfics that I had to put it out...
Back to Monoma.

This last fight kinda lowered my expectations for the final battle, but let's have some predicitons anyway. I've already said previously how I think Ochaco will be fighting a possessed Deku. If I had to guess how he gets possessed I'd say that he first copies another quirk but then changes to Shinso's quirk offscreen in a really short timeframe, catching Deku off guard. Ochaco will trick the mind-controlled Deku into charging into a wall, breaking Shinso's hold, but Izuku will be too mesmerized by what the vestiges are showing him to fully break free. It's the sight of Uraraka fighting multiple opponents all by herself that will make him return to the fight, and also realize that he's in love with her.
I don't think Brainwash allows the user to make such an order though... fight others, I mean.
I can imagine it being used to make people walk to the jail by themselves though, but that's it.
To send them into a fight is like asking them to break the control, since the smallest spain seems to break them free from it.
I do see a love confession being used to break Izuku out of his, from sheer embarrassment and shock since he's absolutely clueless about her crush on him. That might work.
And Monoma being the one pulling the main assault on Team A.
Given that during the sports arc, all it took was one minor bump to knock them free of control, I think it's unlikely. And targeting Deku specifically wouldn't make a lot of sense given he's the one person who's managed to free himself from the brainwashing without any outside interference.
I guess it might be possible if Shinso wants to find out how Deku managed to beat it, or of Monoma copies that power and decides to try it on him. But even then I'd think it would be an order to just sit out of the fight or maybe "proceed directly to the enemy cage; do not pass go, do not collect 22,701.60 yen."

Reaction Image RepositoryI wouldn't be surprised if Monoma has the most developed quirk in Class B, he's always been obsessive so I can that coming into play here.
It would be funny as hell if Monoma a Not-So-Harmless Villain.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.@Elfive: Unless it turns into a case of I Know You Know I Know where he realizes that they assume he'll copy the brainwashing and copies another power specifically to take advantage of that. Of course, Deku probably realizes that that's a potential strategy.
Reaction Image RepositoryWell, considering that Monoma has been channeling his inner "Dio" since the get-go (his pose, if anyone can recall), I wouldn't be surprised if he found a way to overcome the five minute limit through loopholes in his quirk.
(Like "Extending the time-limit by carrying a piece of a person on his person at all times for a quick quirk-recharge." like a strand of hair in a locket from them or something. After all, his quirk limitation is "coming in contact with a person to access their quirk", not "coming in contact with a living person in flesh", in order to access it.)
Also, we have no exact limit on how many quirks he can stash at the same time, only that the timer starts and stops whenever he uses and stops using them. He can, until this point, have stashed up on the entirety of Class-B's quirks (and maybe got Kaminari's as well, after the latter put a hand on his shoulder last chapter...) in order to prepare for the fight.
It would be fitting if he did do this, since that would symbolize his desire to "prove Class-B's worth" over Class-A, even if he has to carry out and do it all by himself through the powers of the entirety of Class-B combined by himself. (Since he is the only one pressing the grudge on, he would be the symbol of what Class-B would have been if Kendo hadn't been there to keep him in line.)
Monoma is basically a One-Man Army (or in a symbolic sense: U-A's "All For One"), if it does turn out that he took time to copy every single one of Class 1-B's quirks for his fight beforehand...and/or found a way to extend the time-limit by gathering pieces (read "Hair") from some of his more useful teammates in case he needs to use a quirk more than once.
He has no doubt been training hard with his quirk and his capabilities as well, especially since he did had to suffer the humiliation of being the only one taking remedy classes back in the Forest Camp arc, which he tried to downplay by projecting his loathing on the five class A members who also had to take the classes.
His ire fuels his desire of gleeful comeuppance against class 1-A.
And now, we'll see the fruits of that training he has been undergoing ever since he lost against Bakugou in the Sport Festival.
I think we're about to get one massive Oh, Crap! moment from Class 1-A (and us readers) once we see Monoma getting serious in a fight for the first time.
Now I'm actually hyped for this final fight.
"One For All vs All For One", Mock Final Battle: Commence.
I know.
...but that I wrote is just a "What-If" anyway.
If it happens, okay.
If it don't? Then that just mean that I can enjoy the match for real as it will become a total unknown surprise for me to read.
It's basically a win-win. I won't get let down regardless of the outcome.
I would actually be disappointed if my prediction did turn out to happen for real, since that would kill a bit of the joy and surprise I get from reading the chapters and volumes.
So that's all. ...
Prediction: Monoma and the original user will use "Size" in order to escape Mineta's traps and sticky balls.
Prediction 2: "Poltergeist" will be used against Uraraka and eventually fling Mineta's balls back at the A-team, essentially backfiring the plan of capturing them.
Prediction 3: Mina will be brainwashed and walk into the cage, scoring 1 point for Class B, elevating Monoma's glee and ego up which also increases the risk of him making a mistake while high on the bragging.
Anyone else who wants to make predictions about the coming match?
Well, here's my modest-but-basically-guaranteed-not-to-happen desire for this match. Not a prediction, because I don't like to torture myself like that. Since Nirengeki Shoda was the other student who dropped out over Shinso's brainwashing, I want some sort of acknowledgement or line of dialogue referencing that fact.

Re: Monoma, I feel like people talk like he can only copy one Quirk at a time and if he copied another one it would "override" the previous, but I always figured it was he could only use one copied Quirk at a time, but he could still have multiple ones copied and switch between them.
It would explain why his costume has multiple stop watches, so he can keep track of the amount of time for each copy.
With that in mind, I feel like it would just make sense for Monoma to copy the Quirks of everyone on his team, not just Shinso. Plus, we have no idea how he's improved. For all we know, now he can use more than one Quirk simultaneously.

That's why Titan Jump was referring to him as a mini-AFO; if he has prolonged the period of use of the quirks he can obtain, and learns how to use them simultaneously. Then he has essentially become Af O except without the "stealing" part.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.During the cavalry battle, he copies Bakugou and Tsuburaba's Quirks at the same time
Bewitching EyesAh I see Monoma is actually The Mole all along! He's trying to corrupt Class B to villainy!
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Would the Mole be in a different class?
I mean, would he have such intimate knowledge of Class A's movements when he's not even there?
How well known was the knowledge of who was supposed to be at the training exercise where the villains first attacked? If the other classes were aware of who would be there (since it was explicitly an attack to kill All Might on Shiragaki's end, though AFO intended for him to fail), then it could work.
Then again...Monoma is kinda obvious. It would work better with someone we all were familiar with and openly liked too.
...boy, been a while since we talked traitor. Any new theories on who it is? I definitely want Horokishi to follow through on it and be one of the students, even if it would break a lot of hearts if it's someone popular.
One Strip! One Strip! For what it’s worth, whoever it was did not appear to know the student’s Quirks, which would suggest either unfamiliarity, or a reluctance to give away that information.
Oh God! Natural light!

So she’s the OFA in that situation.
Only ya know successful.
