Yeah. It's same thing here with people considering Bakugo and Endeavor worse than Stain. Many people are familiar with the experience of having a bully or an abusive father, far fewer are the same with having a loved one murdered or crippled by a serial killer.

Shoto has been somewhat more open to communication than, say, Natsu. Plus, part of the issue, with Natsu and Fuyumi, at least, was his absence and neglect. I could see his logic in trying to be more involved as a way to make up for that.

Now there's a thought. Someone who can stand Bakugo and Endeavor fine, but can't get over how much fanboyism Stain receives because he lost a relative to someone like Jeffrey Dahmer or Richard Ramirez.

Exactly. Some folks don't understand redemption is not forgiveness. Forgiveness is something you give to anothe, redemption is something you give to yourself. Folks who go into prison can come out better people but do their victims ever forgive them? Maybe not but that doesn't stop the ex-con from having turned their life around.
Fuyumi at least actually seems to want to spend more time with Endeavor. I mean, she's a grown woman with a fulltime job, if she didn't want to live at home, she could probably just leave.
Natsuo is different, but he's also a college student and according to Fuyumi rarely comes to visit (though he apparently keeps in touch).

I'm sure that's intentional.
Re: him and Rei reconciling, I'm not totally sure how I'd feel about that, but I could see it happening. From the way the storyline has been handled so far, I don't think it would be handled badly, but I'd probably still prefer it if they came to peace with one another, while also acknowledging it best that they part ways.

Kinda reminds me of Gundam SEED. There the main villain wears a mask because he's a clone of his horribly abusive "father." So he sees his abuser every time he looks in the mirror. Could throw in Miranda from Mass Effect 2 as well, although I hesitate to all her a villain.
I suspect Dabi looking like his father would be just an added source of anger, a constant reminder of all teh bad things.

It's likely that Dabi's going to try to induce a real Face–Heel Turn by breaking Endeavor's pedestal for Hawks. But I think that Hawks would give Endy a chance to show that he's changed.
Does anyone actually read these?![]()

I recently re-listened to an episode of Black Jack Justice that did something like that. A woman tried to do a Twin Switch to fake making up with her estranged sister so when she was missed she wouldn't be suspected despite having been the one who killed her. Jack's Private Eye Monologue suggests that seeing her betrayer's face in the mirror every day may have been why she couldn't let go of the grudge.

Re Endeavor trying to connect with his other children: Natsuo's made it clear he wants nothing to do with him. I imagine he's in contact with Fuyumi tho.
Bewitching EyesNatsuo is going to have to learn to tolerate him whether he likes it or not, especially if Fuyumi and Shouto start opening up to him.
On another note, I'm really glad Iida has managed to stay in the Top 10 for so long despite his decreased prominence. I feared he'd be forgotten after Hori hadn't really done much with him lately.
Oh btw, Mirio was 26, so hey, he jumped from 14 spots at least.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.

Considering that Natsu and Fuyumi's problem is how much he ignored them and made them feel worthless, that seems counterproductive.
Does anyone actually read these?
