Yeah, I think them going "Whoops, you tied. Guess you'll have to wait until the next exercise to find out who's better" is a possibility. Whether or not it will happen is up in the air, but I think it definitely could.
Reaction Image RepositoryOh man, people would flip if it all ended on a tie breaker lol.
I'm kind of 50/50 on this arc; it's nice to see what Class B can do and all, but at the same time this series already struggles to juggle everyone in Class A, especially the girls and I'd prefer more focus on them.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I wouldn't see the point of that other than stretching this arc beyond reason. It's a training, not a tournament.

That's what I mean. There doesn't need to be a "winner". The arc can end as soon as all the matches are over regardless if the teams are tied or not.
Reaction Image RepositoryYeah, it’s not like they’re trying to win anything, although I can see them giving the winning class a reward that they didn’t tell them about (as they wanted to see how they would perform without that sort of motivation, or something like that).

Oh God! Natural light!Yeah, we, the audience (and some of the characters) have been going "who will win?" but that's not actually the point of the training itself.
Even assuming something like Class A winning the first three matches (or the opposite) and thus having already won overall, the other two matches would still happen because seeing which class is "better" was never the point of this (instory or out).
Really, this arc seems to me to have several purposes, showing off Class B all at once only being one of them.
So we seem to be switching between semi-serious school things, and actually serious villain things now.
After this training, I wonder what the next serious thing will be? I'm gonna go with the inevitable and obvious Dabi reveal (obviously with other things involved).

Among other things this arc seems to be a quick and dirty progress report on how far the class a kids have come and what they still need to work on
We also get to learn more about class b so hey bonus
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI can't remember, did Goku and Naruto and Ichigo top their polls? I guess Goku was a long time ago.... They probably had polls back then but who knows if they are online anywhere.
But my point is, Midoriya is like the bet shounen hero in a long, long time. Losing to Bakugo? Shameful, positively shameful. Shame on you Japanese fanbase.
I cme in here for a different reason though. Dunno if I should putg it in spoilers so better safe than sorry. All For One realized Midoriya had One For All but was then locked up. Has any other villain figured it out or learned about this? Don't care about manga spoilers
...When was the last popularity poll held, again?
I wouldn't normally expect such a huge spurt for someone who hasn't actually appeared in the manga in ages.
Edit: I suppose the above reasoning makes sense, but one would have thought that All-Might would have been higher, then.

Oh God! Natural light!

My overall thinking was that each would get two wins, and the final round would have a fair chance of ending in a tie.
But since a tie has already happened, it shakes things up.
