So, who was supposed to be making the detour, Iida? If so, I imagine he decided backing up Shoto was more important that taking Kaibara to the prison, and so just knocked him out and left him somewhere, or something.
Well, I guess we'll get confirmation on who is or isn't detained next chapter.

Exactly. More to the point, he created the very situation that justified said advice, by crippling Iida bro, who's only crime was not being All Might.
I just...hate him so much...it's not even funny. He's a humongous piece of trash.
I hate him more than All for One, and that guy has done far more harm to the world than Stain has.
One Strip! One Strip!Iida was only in a position to specifically seek out revenge because Stain crippled his brother, which he did for literally no reason, because we've met Tensei and, hey, turns out he's the best. So it seems that the only crime Tensei committed was not being All Might.
My various fanfics. The point is that Iida was blinded by revenge and prioritized that over saving people, that's what Stain was criticizing. Him being the one who put Iida in that position doesnt change that, and I think that was a point bought up at the end.
On another note, theres two different contexts to Shouto's inner monologues depending on the translation; jami's speaks from Endeavor's perspective while Mangastream is from Shouto's.
Guess we have to until Viz to see the "true" context.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.If that happens, I kind of hope everyone gets detention - they were quite explicitly told not to damage the area more than necessary.
Oh God! Natural light! Now that he's done this, Shoto should get a support item to help him contain that heat like (I think) Endeavor also had.
If he's already at Endeavor's power output at 15, imagine how it'll be as an adult. And then he has the ice on top of that, too, and if he can learn to use them efficiently together...….
Heh some people are really salty that Shouto lost in a one on one fight.
It apparently makes no sense that Class A lost because they got “Fricking Todoroki.”
Also on how Chintetsu was neither melted, frosted, or suffered any ill effects from suddden extreme cooldown/heat-ups.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I don't think those were the ill effects they wanted or they came in too late.
Apparently Chintetsu should have immediately started melted or suffered immensely from an extreme hot/cold change reaction immediately from receiving constant blasts from Shouto.
Plus the idea that Shouto was overwhelmed at all in a one-on-one match is like incomprehensible.

Somehow, I knew it'd be you Saiga.
