So right now, we're at 1 win each for both classes then?
How do you guys call it? I'm thinking it will end in a draw ultimately. Class A will win one more, and B will win another.
One Strip! One Strip!Entering combat without proper protective gear definitely seems to be a reoccurring issue with Ojiro. First trying to debut without shoes, now this.
Poor guy though. I was hoping for a breakthrough too. It seems like he's just been falling further and further behind the rest of his class lately. There's only so many creative/strategic ways to use a tail in combat, I guess.

I mean, the no shoes served a purpose in that instance. He and Toru couldn't have possibly known that Shoto was going to freeze the entire purpose. It's not really the same kind of situation.
I also don't think you can say that he, in particular, is falling further behind most of them. Rather, most of them are behind a very select group in the class. It's to be expected.

Going in with bare feet definitely served a purpose for Hagakure, since shoes would have interfered with her invisibility. I can't really think of a reason for Ojiro to do it though? Footwear seems like it would just be a common sense thing for a hero costume - what would he have done if he had to move through an area with a lot of broken glass? Or any rough terrain really.
As for falling behind - I haven't reread in a while, but it doesn't seem like his "focus spots" have shown his combat prowess in a good light since the Joint Simulation Arc. (Ectoplasm telling him that he's too predictable and needs to start over from the basics. His comment that he "barely passed" the licencing exam. This recent arc where all Ojiro does is fall into Juzo's trap and then get his ass kicked by Sen.)
To contrast, the other minor characters have mostly gotten cool moments, or not appeared at all. (Sero bombed the practical, but won the rescue race and got an 84 on his licensing exam. Shouji and Aoyama during the training camp. Even Hagakure got to beat someone up a couple chapters ago.)
That said I agree that there still isn't enough evidence to call it anything more than "maybe possibly a worrying trend."
Edit: Sorry, that was more than I really intended to write. Oops.

I assumed he took his shoes off in case he had to be stealthy as well. Kind of an odd choice, but still a reason. It's not like he doesn't normally wear shoes.
Ojiro's fairly popular and Horikoshi has said he likes him, so who knows. I still think you're being a bit overly negative, though.

Personally, I'm hoping Jiro gets to do something cool next round. Sato too, for that matter, since he rarely gets to do anything. Sero, I could actually take or leave.
Oh God! Natural light! At least as far as Class A's side goes, he's been following a pretty straightforward pattern of "two get focus, and two are through aways."
I'd imagine the focus will be Bakugo and Jiro in Round 4, and Izuku and Ochaco in Round 5. I wouldn't expect much from anyone else on the A side.

Yeah, you're probably right about my overthinking things.
Jiro and Sato are absolutely way overdue for screentime. I like Sero, but he doesn't need the screentime nearly so much.
I guess in terms of my personal hopes... I'd like to see what Awase's strategy for using his quirk in combat is supposed to be. Also maybe one or two lines between Shinso and the double impact kid, since he was one of the kids Shinso brainwashed.

Huh so MHA took 7 of the top 20 spots of the U.S. Monthly Bookscan October List with Vol 15 at #2.

What’s interesting is that the Vigilante spin-off is also on the list. Vol 2 is #5 while Vol is at #20.
Man how popular are you that even your spin-offs are selling like crazy?
