The Walker review made me a bit sad since they missed a lot of obvious details. Like Greg and Wirt being half brothers.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI think there was somewhere a rather solid case for it being the early nineties. Maybe it was Word of God, maybe something else. I wish I remembered more clearly.
A four-issue comic will be published late this summer.
The first one-shot comic was set between episodes 2 and 3; this miniseries will be between 3 and 4.
Given the contained nature of the story, this is going to be a hard one to keep going. I hope they can find a way, cuz I really want to see more.
Oh. and they had magnetic tape since the end of WWII. Cassette tapes and their attendant recorders/players came into being in the 70's. The advent of the CD in the late 80's led to their decline, but they were still a respectable part of record sales until about the late 90's.
The Tome of the Unknown pilot was put up on Cartoon Network's website
. If it's unavailable to you for whatever reason, don't worry, I'm sure they'll be a webrip sooner or later.
I just finished reading this crossover with Gravity Falls
. It's very short, but also quite good. I didn't see the twist in which path Dipper was afraid to take coming. That was a very good twist.
The chances of it happening are slim admittedly since it's a cult favorite, but a petition to get an official release of the score would be fantastic. One gets the feeling some songs were trimmed for broadcast or might have slightly longer versions not released, and the folk instrumental score has a lot of lovely melodies too. The medley of songs by the cloud citizens and that alternative rock song in "Into the Unknown" stand out in particular.
The moment I heard modern rock in a show like this, I knew something was up.
Speaking of music, and everyone's likely heard it already, but it's still a nice cover:

I watched it yesterday. I believe that the official time period would be in the eighties to nineties. The tape reminded me of Guardians Of The Galaxy.
