They should just pull an Afterlife With Archie and set it in a Darker and Edgier Alternate Universe, but it doesn't seem to be that way judging from the promo image.

If the interview means anything, I think they're using the artstyle that they have in an ironic way. Maybe in what TV Tropes calls a Sugar Apocalypse? Or maybe I'm thinking of a different trope?
Sure, that Predator looks cartoony and goofy, but who said he won't be as vicious and merciless as the other interpretations of him?
The point is, I'm pretty sure it is gonna be set in an Alternate Universe, but it just looks like the regular-verse.
Oh, just to clarify, I've heard of both Archie and Predator, but I never really read or watched their stuff. Just saying.

The Archie gang hardly fits the type of targets the Predators bother with, so it'll be interesting to see how they'll justify a conflict in the first place.
