This is one hell of a surprise.
That's pretty surprising.
I mean the apparent produced by Marvel thing.
Maybe some deals were worked out.
One Strip! One Strip!I imagine Fox gave something to benefit Marvel to get this passed through.
You mean besides Fantastic Four and X Men?
One Strip! One Strip! There's lots of potential things. Merchandising rights was one of the things Sony gave up near the end, which is why Marvel was much more willing to work with them even while they were making The Amazing Spider-Man.
Another Marvel adaptation? BOOOO!
So, I'll just echo the sentiment that the only reason I have any optimism for this project is that the X-men are such a diverse group with such an open premise that nothing really needs to be rehashed, at the very least they need not play to anything already in popular imaginarium. But the realist in me says this is going to be another Wolverine show.

Oh, good. If Hugh Jackman is responsible for putting Wolverine out of our misery then that will I can forgive that he was cast as Wolverine in the first place.
They could always recast someone else, not so much for the movies but for the series.
Trump delenda estDan Stevens will be playing Legion, while Aubrey Plaza is playing his best friend. Jean Smart is going to be playing a therapist.
Newcomer Jeremie Harris is playing series regular Ptonomy.

Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureNew promo along with a premiere date of Wednesday February 8th at 10:00 PM!
I'll be watching the first four episodes and then decide from there. I'm not really a fan of the FOX's interpretation of the X-Men but this looks interesting.
However, (and I may seem like the dumbest person on the internet for this) I have no idea what this show is about. I mean, if it's not the main default X-Men cast then...I don't know. I mean is this a prequel or...a sequel...or a midquel, maybe?
Anyone know?
It's about Xavier's son (who the Professor may or may not know about), the most powerful mutant alive. Except he's also a schizophrenic, or thinks he is. I suspect it takes place in '80s or '90s based on the overall aesthetic, but that could just be a design choice.
Really liking the visual style on this, whether or not it's faithful to the comics. Most of the comics aren't faithful to the comics for that matter, by which I mean the tone and style changes through the years.

Just finished watching the pilot. It's trippy as hell and sometimes the plot left me wondering whether certain characters and events were solely in David's head. Still, I really, really enjoyed the pilot and I really appreciated the fact that things were revealed to the viewers as they're revealed to David.
Overall, I'm interested to see where things go from here. If only it was on Netflix so I can binge the whole season...

Together, we are one.I just finished watching the first episode. So far I like it better than the other Marvel shows.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureEven the Netflix ones?
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Yes, the Netflix shows are good but I don't feel I have to watch them.
I still haven't finished Daredevil Season 2 and I haven't started Luke Cage yet.
Legion just fits the type of show I find interesting.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureMmm, fair enough.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!
Interesting. I love Si Spurrior's X-Men Legacy, so if that's what the show is based on, that would be awesome. And Fargo is an awesome show, so all the better.
Both are being produced by Marvel as well, so that should stamp down any "Marvel hates Fox and is deliberately killing the X-Men" rumors.
