Activist Gilbert Goh is being investigated by the police for holding a pro-Israeli sign that calls for Hamas to release their hostages.
The police said that they won't allow this to happen since it can be volatile and the politicians do prefer the tranquility they have...
One major event that influenced current Singaporean laws on this matter is the riots that happened with Maria Huberdina Hertogh, a Dutch woman who was a Roman Catholic, but converted to Islam when she was young due to her (Muslim) foster parents.

K.Shamungan has responded to suggestions that Israeli diplomats may want Singapore to "take a stand". He said that Singaporean officials have chosen to vote at the UN for the ceasefire. But the Singaporean government has mentioned that they condemn Hamas and they want the IDF to operate under the rules of war.
At the same time, he's having none of it if it's proven true that the Israeli Embassy's trying to persuade the locals.
Singapore is warning expat workers to not bring foreign politics in the country and not to display banners or flags that can be used to show support to what's happening in the Middle East.
Application to hold a rally at Speaker's Corner related to what happened in Israel is turned down multiple times. Nominated MP Dr Syed Harun Alhabsyi hopes Singapore will change their mind to allow people to hold peaceful rallies, being mindful of the local security situation.
Lawrence Wong (Upcoming [PAP] leader) said that more and more anti-Singaporean rhetoric has been seen/reported online due to the government's stance on what's happening in the ME.
Personally saw this coming.
Here is a
Radio Free Asia interview with Jason Tower of the United States Institute of Peace regarding recent ongoing events in Myanmar.
To put it simply, the Myanmar military dictatorship is on the verge of imploding. China has been getting frustrated with their inability to deal with scam centers and trafficking operations that are a danger to Chinese nationals, not to mention ongoing fighting on the border. Recently, the Three Brotherhood Alliance (made up of three insurgent groups in Shan State) launched a massive offensive against the military dictatorship that has led to several villages being seized from the junta. The junta has been calling in reserves, while China is demanding an end to the conflict.
Tower speculates in this article that China might be offering a bit of approval towards the Brotherhood Alliance as an alternative to the ruling junta. It's definitely noticeable that the Brotherhood Alliance are working to combat the very things China has had major issues with (the scam centers and trafficking operations). Meanwhile, other rebel groups throughout the country have expressed support for the offensive and are working to sabotage the Myanma military's operations.
At this point, I can't see the current junta lasting for much longer. Whatever happens next is anybody's guess.
The situation
in Myanmar is continuing to heat up as the Arakan Army strikes in Rakhine State in the east. So that's two fronts the Myanma military would have to be fighting in, never mind concurrent military actions in Chin State by the Indian border and Kayah State. A curfew has been placed in Rakhine State capital Sittwe.
Never thought would see the day. I still remember the former PM Sui Kyi kowtow like a coward under the military's genocide of the Rohingya minority to only be overthrown a couple of months later, basically having eggs on her face and lost a lot of good will from the international community for basically mothing

There's still the UWSA. They're on the sidelines and they never said anything about helping the Tatmadaw or the opposition.
These guys are Beijing's armed ethnic armed organisation yes men. Beijing can call them and tell them to help the junta. The current leader/s also have Chinese lineage too.

Except the Chinese government has just about had it with the junta at this point. They're too incompetent to run the country or to deal with the scam centers. Never mind how Shan State is where the offensive is currently heating up and the UWSA is mostly just taking in refugees from the conflict.
There's a reason many suspect that China are backing the rebels in Shan State. They're actually doing stuff about the scam centers China is coming down on.
The UWSA may be trying to stay neutral, but the leaders have said their willingness to join the fight. And just heard that some UWSA commanders may have sympathies to the Brotherhood that they provide small arms except MANPA Ds.
That is well... despite warnings for the Tatmadaw/Brotherhood not to fight in Wa territory.

Yeah, among non-Muslims, PAS has a reputation for being more obsessed with being Moral Guardians over women's attire, movies, alcohol, etc than having any actual economic policies.
