[up]Presumably, although we haven't seen what Sedra's outfit looks like, assuming she can summon one up.

If they knock him close enough to earth, gravity will do the rest. I don't care how tough he is, he's not gonna shake off re-entry.

[up]Why wouldn't he? re-entry is merely friction heat.

[up][up]You do know that orbits are inherently stable (given inverse-square gravity), don't you?

If they're strong enough to punch him out of orbit, they're strong enough to punch him into orbit from Earth - and I doubt they're that strong. And if their current orbit is low enough that they can punch him into a low enough orbit that atmospheric friction would do the rest, then it's low enough that the station would have de-orbited in the last few centuries.

Plus, if they punch him into a significantly different orbit, then Mr Newton says that they'd wind up in a significantly different orbit themselves.

Changing orbits or not, if he doesn't have anything to push off of or no thrusters in the suit, punching far away will remove him from the situation.

Indeed. In fact, if those suits don't have thrusters, engaging in melee combat in that situation potentially makes things chancy for anyone.

They must have some sort of control, or otherwise Alice wouldn't have been able to launch over and punch him like that, right?

She may have launched off some reasonable intact part of the hull. Anyhow, looks like these immortal supersoldier types are either well-trained for zero-G combat or insanely good at adapting.

It is nice to get confirmation that they had met before. I wonder how Sedra managed to go thousands of years without meeting him at some point.

Hm. My spidey senses tell me Alice suspected, but didn't truly know who Mr Church is, until he put on his suit.

Given how generic and uniform those suits are, it seems more like they are just sides in the war than personals.

Also so they do have intertialess flight in them. And Alice is using her stupidly allowing herself get punched a lot more.

Hovering? Or jumping?

Neat, language.

They don't have anything to bounce off anywhere near them in the last pages, so its hovering. And Alice is using hers to force her body to endure the blows rather than float off and dissipate the force.

Or Jeph isn't giving a whole lot of thought towards how this fight would (ahem) go down in zero gravity.

Wow, on mobile the infiniscroll is even more broken than infiniscroll is by definition: It endlessly repeats the second-to-last page, so I can't go back to the previous ones...

[up]To be fair they're obviously not baseline human. We don't know exactly that they are and are not capable of, save for being able to harm each other.

Also I just realized this explains why Alice reacted the way she did when they first met Mr. Church.

[up]Interesting thought- back 5000 years ago, did they at any point see each other without their armor on? Did Church not know Alice was the one who did that to him until they were up in orbit, or did he hold off on vengeance until then?

My headcanon ATM is that they did know each other out of the armor and fought together during those wars, but Church either went bad or was bad from the get-go (sorta like how Sabretooth was when he and Wolverine were fighting together as part of Weapon X) and Alice took it upon herself to try to seal him away so he couldn't cause any more harm.
