After only hearing about them a few times, i've finally gotten around to reading the Image comics based on the 2002 incarnation of He-Man. And, I gotta say, my opinion on them is sort of half and half. On one hand, the stories so far do seem interesting, but on other hand, some of them just don't work for me somehow. For example: the way they're handling Hordak, my plans for a 2002 version of She-Ra just aren't fitting any more, and they were barely fitting before anyway. Also, that scene between Adam and Teela should have been touching, but it didn't do anything for me. If anything, three lines from Teela just disturbed me.

I don't even know for certain if these comics are canon or not. Though i'm assuming that they are, since this seems like the same type of scenario that Gargoyles and Teen Titans used (carry on the series in comic book form).

No, what's canon are the new line by DC. Orko's the main villain now, hope that's okay with you.

I don't think it's entirely his fault, I think it was revealed that a piece of Horde Prime got into him and possessed him. He made He-Man kill the JLA while he was evil, though.
