"I joined in the fight late..." said Silvia. "I thought the others had already called for backup. This group was just scary..." she said. "One of them had the power to mess with our heads as his semblence..."
Silvia was shaking. She hated breaking the rules, but she was always trained to assist her partner when needed. Rufus joined the battle, so she had to follow suit.

"Well ma'am. I'm not certain exactly. From my perspective we all went to the mall to do some shopping, but those Arcana guys showed up." Belle said rather curtly. "You can punish me, but I'm not going to apologize for helping my friends." She actually put on a bright smile as she said this. "Though, I can understand if you're worried."

"Ayers, Pius, Rufus and I received word that our teammates were up against the Arcana, and we went to provide backup." Yun reported. "Unfortunately, the enemy had the same idea."
"As Sylvia said, one of Arcana's reinforcements, named Devil, had a mental-type Semblance that used our memories, fears and emotions against us to cloud our judgement and break our spirit. We were subjected to it multiple times, and I'm afraid mental attacks of that magnitude were something none of us were prepared for."
Once his report was done, Yun took a deep breath before making eye contact with the glaring teacher. "Professor Goodwitch, I'm not saying that we're completely blameless for what happened, but we don't regret going to help our teams fight a dangerous enemy."

"Yeah. I know I jumped into things without understanding what was really happening. But I figured that I'd be a terrible teammate if I didn't join the fight." she said looking at her blouse.

"A mistake."
Judgement immediately moved forward, her body little more than a blur than she practically slid across the ground like a shadow cast by a setting sun. The mirror mask might have been a handy reference point to see where she actually was, but it didn't help much when she was faster than Star. Before she even entered melee range, she suddenly changed directions and slid diagonally towards Star's weapon.
At the same time, her arm all but disappeared as she swung her hoe at the grenade launcher he held. The steel-shearing edge, if it made contact with the weapon, could possibly smash it in half with that single strike!

Tartarus
He took another step back, but man, was that woman fast! More like a blur than anything else.
Rather than have the launcher risk shattering - he really wouldn't like that - he decided to take a less logical approach.
That approach being putting himself as a target by taking the weapon away and swinging the whole bomber suit-clad body in a shoulder tackle. That his armor would need patching up after wasn't too important.
Goodwitch's Office
Pius hummed in reply and leaned back in his chair, his curiosity satisfied. His thoughts wandered to the Arcana, particularly to one member among them whose existence brought flashes of purple to the corner of his vision.
Where are you?
Allurand and surrounding world loading, 28%...Tartarus
Judgement's swing went wide, but she retracted the hoe with breathtaking speed as she suddenly halted her momentum forward. With another sudden burst of movement, she slipped past Star. She suddenly pulled on the hoe's handle, extending it as it split apart into chained segments. The robed woman threw the digging head at Star's helmet, seeking to tear it off and yank it away from him!
Tartarus
She simply vanished, didn't she? No, Judgment was just that fast.
"This is more entertaining than I thought it will be..." He mused, swinging right around to meet her and rising his arms to block the incoming hoe's head. It stung more than he would say being hit by a hoe would, but then again he was dealing with Arcana's cream of the crop here. Assuming old World didn't have any crazy magical powers, Judgment could very well be the best fighter the group had. c
The problem is, I'm way too slow for her. That was no time to be fancy, he needed efficiency. Rising the grenade launcher Star launched a grenade at the wall of the corridor they were in. True to his expectations, the projectile exploded upon contact, spraying flames from the used shell at both him and Judgment. Might as well abandon precise attacks and go into the exploding groove.
Tartarus
Judgement flipped to the side, the hoe's head gouging a trench through one of the walls as she retracted it. The grenade had gotten her to retreat, giving Samuel the distance he needed to launch more projectiles at her. Still, the flames had not even scorched her robes. Star had to try even harder to get her, lest she started dominating the fight.
With a spinning strike, Judgement smashed up a small section of the floor and lobbed a few chunks of stone at her fellow Arcana. At the same time, she started running across the nearest wall to attack the bomber from a different angle!
Tartarus
So you are not invincible. Amazing. The flames weren't that much of a concern to Star due to his sturdy bomber suit, but a simultaneous attack from two directions definitely counted in that category.
Rather than try to focus on either specifically, Phantom decided to aim at the middle-of-the-road approach. Stepping away deeper into a corridor he fired another grenade somewhere at the floor, between Judgment and the chunks of floor. The shell exploded into a cluster of ice crystals, trying its best to shred and slow down the opposition.
Tartarus
Judgement kicked off of the wall, spinning the hoe to deflect some of the shards as she twisted in mid-air. When she landed, it could be seen that there were holes in her robes. And yet....
"Very close. But you have not shed my blood yet."
It could have been the case that she was bluffing, but the certainty in her voice made that notion unlikely. The question of how she could sense that so quickly when wounds dealt by the ice shards would still be numb for a bit longer had to be asked. That is, when the battle ended. For now, there was no time to think as she burst forward again, the hoe continuously striking the ground as she sent a barrage of head-sized stone chunks at Star. This time, she was going to fight more seriously!
Tartarus
"Am I really closer? I've never noticed." Star spoke back to Judgment's words, smiling a rather humorless smile under his helmet. Well, that was apparently some progress. Just as his confidence grew a little bit, her own threat level also increased.
I still have four more grenades. I have to hit her with one of these or it's curtains. Not wasting more time he fired another grenade into ceiling that exploded into another rain of flames. A few chunks of the floor smacked him, one even right on the head - but he was still standing strong, the mighty armor still providing enough protection.
Kane sighed and pulled out a pen and a pad of paper. "Damn shameful. Well, while they do that, I'm going to get to work doing something that actually gets shit done." He clicked his pen and started writing. "Where can I dig up an exact mission statement for Arcana? Like, word-for-word. I need to know what I'm arguing for before I write anything too specific."
Tartarus
When things started exploding out into the hall, Navy pulled Fortitude's Flight from his back and readied himself to break it up. However, when he saw Star's combatant and he got a look into Judgement's eyes, he knew to back down.
Those were eyes you didn't argue with. Besides, she was his superior officer. Skirt his way around the fight, he made it to the others then, any semblance of a meeting well and truly over. He saluted the World smartly, waiting for definitive acknowledgement or lack of it before he turned on someone else.
"Michael, what's happening?" It was a tone halfway between a request and an order.
KNOCKING ON DEATH'S DOOR
Jebidiah looked down the hall, watching the two clash, as Navy made his way around the fight, Jebidiah snorted. "Are they having another test of might?" He asked the Strength, clearly finding such things juvenile. Still, it gave him something to watch as he waited for the doctor.

Good to be backTartarus
Sliding between the falling flames, Judgement extended the hoe again. This time, she aimed at Star's chest with intent to either tear the armour off or reel him in, depending on how tough the suit was. Right now, it seemed like she was going to try and keep the bomber from chancing a point blank explosion. As long as she could prevent that, the chances of him winning seemed to be nil.
Kane walked out into the hall after he was done writing down some sparse notes, next to Jebediah. "Yeah, looks like it. I'm gonna go dig Tower out of her room. If you're finna talk strategy with anyone else on the team I'm leading, let me know."
Shortly later, Kane banged on the door to Tower's room with the butt of his hammer. "Hey, Tower! Got an update on our ops I gotta brief you on."
"I shall. I just wish for some sort of reparation on my arm." Jebidiah replied, "I'll join as soon as I can." He told Kane, "And I know what we can do for most of the kids," He added, of course, against those that weren't under the effect of his semblance, save Pius, he knew nothing, but he was happy with what he had.
Good to be back

Tartaros
Star chuckled dryly, once again. "Talk about an unfair advantage. It's already bad you're going to kick my humble self with that hoe seven days to Sunday, but denying me any form of sensible self-defense by not clearing the room? Well, that sucks." Putting on his helmet he began backing out of the room, slowly getting out that trusty grenade launcher he always carried with himself. "Take your time. I'd rather not take away anyone's eyebrows here." He allowed himself to joke, awaiting a good moment to start unloading.
