Combat Mode On
With a flick of her tail, Imuka's drones leave leave there storage, and begin to float around her, ready to heal any injuries her team is about to sustain, she leaves her weaponry packed up for now though, unsure how effective her stun sword would be, and in way too close of range to effectively use her rockets.
The Tricky Scholar
Getting Shear Edge ready, Naima stepped forward with her teammates. When the Grimm they'd chosen was revealed, she didn't bat a single lash. Though Yun's words did make her giggle a bit. "Makes you wonder if there are any fluffy, cute Grimms out there..."

Gross-ass Shockwormwyrm
True to her word
, Ai brought earplugs to class. Four of them.
"It's cute, in a way," said Ai. "But let's kill it."
She checked that the hidden knives in her boots were working. She really would have liked for the boosters to be done in time for the exam, but Vale's postal service wasn't fast enough.
(Flashback) Workshop C
Glen shrugged at Ai's suggestion to build some sort of electrical device into his Targe. "I dinnae see much point in doin' something like that-" Glen paused for a brief moment to fetch Bàs' spike out of its sheath and began screwing it into the shield's center boss "-when I've got this perfectly good spike right here that I can use instead." As he finished speaking, Glen began hammering the metal he'd accumulated into the shape he'd need to reinforce Bàs.
Proud Highlander
Pleased with the title bequeathed upon him, Glen joined his newly formed team and hoped that the reinforcements he'd made to Bàs and his armour would prove useful in the fight to come.

Temporary Team SLSH I'm not very good at these. Someone call Sven
A Shockworm, huh? The Professor had mentioned them on the odd occasion, but Charisse honestly thought it'd look more like an actual worm. The fact that it had legs and limbs was just weird honestly. Plus... which end was it's face?
Regardless, Charisse walked down the stairs and strolled underneath the dust barrier and set Ai down next to her. Using her semblance, she rotated her sickles in hand once to speed up the opening process. She paused, holding the both of them, then connected them together to form Athena, her energy-projection bow. She'd stay at range for now, then rush in at some point with Orcus, her bident.
Leo Regina: Absolute Queen of the Tundra
The small part at the bottom of the Leo Regina's mask opened up, letting a long red tongue snake out. The beast roared a violent challenge and then shook itself, dusting the nearby area with fine ice crystals. Every slight movement sent waves of Cold air into the confined area. It seemed to be making the nearby area into an appropriate area for combat. It was marking its territory, in a sense.
The air felt frozen, as if those nearby were upon a mountaintop rather than inside a classroom. The beast eyed its opponents, then slammed its paws into the ground. Pillars of ice erupted from the ground, specifically in areas where the Leo Regina had previously shed ice crystals. It seemed the ice crystals were a "seed" of sorts for the pillars, allowing the pillars to "germinate" from them..

"Gimme your pants.. and now your other pants"Flame
"Yes, I am relieved it's not that thing we're fighting," Rufus said, standing up and marching toward the last cage, his gaze turned to one side. It wasn't the Shock Worm he was looking at, but the Leo Regina. As his eyes passed directly over its face, he'd grimace slightly more than usual.
"Fire though, fire is good. I like fire.
"Ayers!" He called out, "The Voltic Farmer, eh? And Hope, Miss Steel.
"Ayers, would you be so kind as to take command?"
Flashback: Workshop
"Well, if people are looking for scandals, I don't think they'll find one from the two of us." Pius replied with a knowing smirk. "Besides, it's not like you'll lose much out of one anyway. Names only mean so much in this world, you know. I mean, look how much more Nobel is worth than Ashen." He added with a hint of bitterness at the end.
Present: Grimm Studies
Pius eyed the Grimm as they emerged, watching quietly as he waited for his classmates to give them the deaths they deserved.

Allurand and surrounding world loading, 28%...Lightning Fight
The shockworm lumbered out of its cage, growling and making sick sucking noises with its sphincter like face. It was apparently blind and thus could not see any of them, but it could hear them...somehow it could hear them. The creature lumbered forward and started to drool on the ground before whipping its head around, sending a shower of its bodily fluids flying.
"I am nature's weapon. You are unfit to carry on your species, and I shall ensure that you do not do so!" - Charles Darwin, XCOM SniperTeam SLSH SLSH (Slash) is good.
"Naima, Ursa Majors would seem adorable compared to this thing." Yun replied. "And they're a lot more well mannered when trying to kill you."
Dodging the volley of Shockworm spit, he channeled some aura into Stormbreaker and fired a small ball of kinetic force at the flailing Grimm. It may not be as effective as a bullet, but it would at least serve as a painful distraction, and was silent, unlike Skyfire.

Grimm Studies
Alexia was completely unfazed. In fact, she was more determined that ever. "We'll see about that, my knight. All men have decency in them. We'll just have to bring it out."
At that moment, the Flame cage was blasted open by a cannon blast of flame. It
◊ waddled out, snarling and shuffling.

Flashback: Dinner
Chelsea sighed, gently squeezing Remus's hand. "My mother is a proud Huntress. She..."
"I want to hear about that fight. Was it tough? How did you beat it?" asked Charlotte.
Johnathan looked vaguely amused.
The Arena
Alexia's face was blank of expression, she looked warily at her opponent. Noa was tough. She hit hard and can take as much as she gave.
Her best chance, then, was....
Her shield changed to gun form, and she fired twice, aiming for both legs.
Flashback: Dinner
Remus stared at Charlotte. Was she actually being nice to him? "Well... It was a bit of a difficult fight. I discovered the acidic blood pretty early on." Remus said before continuing. "We managed to ice it's wings and shattering them, grounding it. Then we finished it with a combined strike from all sides." Remus glanced towards his girlfriend with a face like Is this really happening? Is she actually being nice?
Flashback: Arena
Well hot damn, Lexi really did know how to play dirty. The only mistake was not starting out in gun mode. Before the bullets could hit her legs, they were burned away by the brawler's intense flames. Thoughts were faster than fingers and eyes, unfortunately for the princess. With a satisfied roar, Noa charged right in, fist flying as she led with a vicious left hook aimed at Alexia's temple.
She'd see just how fast the shield could transform back in an emergency, and work from there.
No, seriously. I was having trouble figuring out what to post, and that gave me a good opportunity.
"It kind of looks like a bat," Lucas answered "A bat with enormous teeth — those are teeth, right?"
There was a lot of things that his semblance helped with, but determining anything other than the shape of anything without an Aura was something that he still found frustratingly futile. And this creature didn't seem to look like anything obvious to him...
Flashback: Arena
Mistake! Argh, she should have known that Noa had something up her sleeve. She should have used her Semblance.
Now, there was no time for the shield to block...but she still had her sword.
Fist met blade as she parried with her weapon, hopefully stunning Noa long enough so that she could move back and change her shield back.
If that worked, she would stay on the defensive with both shield and blade.
Grimm Studies
Alexia smiled at Jack and Lucas's conversation. "That's a Shockworm, a native of Vacuo. I've heard that it lives in large caves, hanging upside down using its tail. It's blind, but has very sharp hearing."
Team SCAR
Pre-Reveal
"So, I'm thinking, depending on what comes out, I'll charge blindly at it, preferably while frothing at the mouth, yes?" Rufus suggested to Ayers, "Grim are attracted to negative emotions and few are the beasts that will ignore a screaming berserker charging headlong at them.
"Then, while it and I do our damndest to devour each other's face, you lead the rest in a cunning plan to slay the beast."
Post Reveal
I am conflicted. On one hand, I must slay this beast before it slays me, as it and I are natural enemies. On the other, it is so pitifully ugly and malformed, I am driven to show it mercy and put it out of its misery.
"Like Lucas?" Jack asked, Even after all this time and numerous explanations from Lucas on why he was wrong, Jack was still under the belief that Lucas' semblance was, in fact, echolocation. "And why do they call it a Shockworm? It's breathing fire."

Good to be backFlashback: Dinner
Chelsea replied with a look that said No, she just likes stories like that.
Charlotte nodded, vaguely impressed. "Not bad. But it was a stupid move to get in close..."
Grimm Studies
Alexia frowned at Jack. "That's...mean. You shouldn't say that about Sir Lucas."
"You do realize you just compared him to a worm?"
Team SLSH
Charisse almost avoided the Shockworm's goop, but some of it did end up splashing onto her. Not hesitating for an instant, she pulled back on the her bow, her fingers resting on a thin thread of bright green light. Once the bow was "taut", a ray of light appeared where an arrow would be on a traditional bow.
Quickly, Charisse fired a few volleys at a distance. For now, she was trying to judge whether a ranged approach would work best on such a beast. Then again, all creatures tended go have soft underbellies, and the Shockworm was probably not an exception; if this didn't work, she could always rush in and impale it with Orcus.
"Gimme your pants.. and now your other pants"

Ghatz smirked after Alfred let him go. "Point, Mienne." He said, resting his arms behind his head and walking away as if nothing happened. To him, that whole thing had meant nothing. He respected Alfred, and that was it. The guy was a complete douche; if he actually cared enough, he might At least try to be nice. But no, he never quit being completely and utterly terrible to everyone. Which, in turn, made Ghatz want him to straighten out. If they were going to be partners, they needed to get along.
He sighed and followed Lexi, going to Alfred in the process. He grunted and looked at both of them. "Sorry. For that. It was stupid of me, and I seem to forget that kissing actually matters to some people." He sighed. "Family... yeah, whatever. Like that means anything." He then proceeded to keep walking. "I'm leaving. Not that anybody cares." And with that, he walked off, hands in pockets.
