Arcana
Tower was just staring in horror at the sight of his comrade being killed by Becky. This was not something he expected to see at all today.
"Child, what have you done?", he said to her.

Ieria nodded her head to Medus before silently following behind him, trying to surpress the worries she bore about earlier and the voice in her head.

Charisse bolted forward even harder. Seeing her Team Leader launched forward made her want to get in on it too, but she wasn't equipped with that sort of thing.
Unless Mia could do Gravity side ways? Regardless, she was exhausted in terms of Aura supply. Even the passive defenses were failing her now. She gasped at the air, uncharacteristic for someone of her usual athletic status.
Still, she jumped up into the air with her bident. The blades of this thing could probably pierce anything, given the fact they weren't blades as much as plasma. Still, she could never count on bigger grim falling to it.
G was here - 2/9/24Birds
Rufus briefly turned to the distant battlefield, where the flame beast had ice and lightning poured into its hide with zealous fervor, or overzealous fanaticism.
"That guy," Rufus rumbled, "He gives a run for my money in problems."
Shrugging, Rufus turned back to Sechs, "See, I was also thinking either a throwing spear- cause we Snikersnax can handle range, it's guns we have a problem with- or, well... a gun, actually. Something with a high rate of fire, low accuracy. Something I cannot possibly aim worst than what it does on its own. I point it in the general direction of my foes, and something is bound to hit under the sheer weight of probability."
Arcana, Fool's Dead
Remus stared on at the scene in front of them, stepping back slightly as Marianne entered. Shit... Everything's gone to hell... What the hell are we supposed to do now?
Remus gripped Volsung tightly with one hand, his other free so as not to convey too much of a threat towards Juno.
Well at least on of the Arcana is dead.
Triple Bird Strike
A final defiant scream as Pius's blasts hit the fallen bird. Then, it was still...and started melting.
Alexia breathed a huge sigh of relief as she managed to clamber over a large rock and survey the aftermath from a vantage point.
She used her Scroll to call the other team. "Ummm? Hello? Target eliminated. We've brought down one of the birds. Are you guys alright?"
Northern Invasion
The green monster did not see Glen coming. The blade pierced it's gut and went out the other end....and stayed there, seemingly trapped by sheer lard.
It turned its disgusting face towards Glen and seemed to grin, even as green blood poured from its wounds....said blood seemingly acidic because they burned Glen's skin on contact.
Arcana: Retreat
He was attacking them!
Becky's voice whined at her very pale sister, sounding like a child throwing a tantrum.
Marianne, for her part, looked sick. Horrified. She seemed unable to speak for a good minute. Then.
"Everyone fall back. We need to leave. Escalating won't help anyone."
She turned to face Star. "Let...let Lord World deal with this."
But-!
"Shut up, Becky!"
"Wisely said." Star nodded in an agreement before shooting Beacon students one final look and holstering his grenade launcher. "Pack your toys, Tower, we're moving out." He addressed his remaining comrade-in-arms as he moved over to Fool's body and hoisted it on his shoulder before turning on his heel and commencing walking away as casually as possible, dead Arcana in tow as he strolled.
As he did, the bomber shot a rather amused glance at the monster that felled Fool. Its tantrum was well-worth the nasty surprise it cooked for them.

Arcana
"A wise decision, Star.", Tower said as he moved out with the Arcana members present.
"Never let anyone tell you that something is impossible." - Monty Oum, 1981-2015Can't Run Any More
As soon as she was free of the VTOL Rheia waved a goodbye to Hope and headed off. Not quite at a run, but she did speedwalk as fast as she could. She idly remembered one of the students, whom she'd heard crying in one of the workshops when she had got here on the first day. She wasn't going to allow herself that luxury. Nobody could find her. Nobody could know any more than they already did.
Hell. Hope, Ayers, and Jack knew too much already, in as much as they knew something was wrong. It just wasn't fair, she mused to herself as she walked along. Why did life have to keep reminding her of her greatest mistake? That was why she was here in Beacon, wasn't it? To get away from that and atone?
So why was it that today a Grimm had decided to use it against her?
Rheia eventually found a secluded spot on campus. Everything hurt, even though she hadn't been injured that badly - if at all. She sat down and sniffled, taking out a picture from one of her pockets. It was folded up, crumpled, and old - and yet it still held together. It was a picture of her, far younger, but still with her signature orange hair - and someone else. The girl the Dreamshade had shown her.
"I'm so sorry..." she muttered under her breath. She muttered it again, and again, and again until it was indistinguishable from her choked sobbing.
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Scum
"And leave her family?" Star sneered back at Imuka's desperate gambit. "Say a few more words and who knows, maybe it's you who will be villains."
Cripple
She couldn't dream of catching Rheia. Honestly, she needed a moment to take for herself as well. Call Sophie. Yes, that was important. Apologize. Revert bad words that have been said earlier...
But what then? Were they in love with each other still? Was it just a short romance flick, caused by curiosity and desperation? Did Sophie really care? Did she?
...
Hope rubbed her temples together, groaning. She needed some time to think. Calmly. Take a couple of deep breaths.
Reaching out for Ayers' side and patting it - she couldn't really squeeze his hand instead - with a sad smile she wheeled over to their room with him. Her intent was to take a shower, dress into pajamas and collapse on the bed, preferably without breaking down into pathetic sobbing.

"I don't really think it wuz ever really much of a thing." Ayers said, after a few moments in silence with Hope. "Just a short lil' trip caused by desperation'n curriossitee. I know fer sure I dint really care too much. Dunno about him, but it dint seem that way."
He shrugged once again, once again, with noncommittal vagueness and flippancy. "When yer literally killing horrible monsters at least once a week, Hope, it don't pay to let yer emotions git y'all down. Or to let anyone make you feel bad." He clenched a fist up. "Ever. We both been through some nasty breakups, but I don't aim to let Jack make me feel bad just the same as I don't let Alice tell me hwut to do. Ain't they kinda the same thing, in the end?"
"Funny. These two words were on my mind now." Hope replied with a small sigh. "But yeah. It never seemed like you were close. Honestly I didn't know until a couple of moments ago."
"In the end we care the most about ourselves..." She looked up at the ceiling, letting out another sigh. "But I guess it makes sense. You shouldn't let him make you feel bad."
"...hey. I had a question." She bit her lip, as if considering speaking further. "...did I... did I do the right thing, being so angry with Sophie? You said that you can't let the emotions get the better of you... and I guess she was trying to do that by quitting... somewhat." She still wasn't sure of the theory.
"...actually... n-no, don't answer. Or answer. Ugh. That shitstain of a Grimm still has me fidgety..."
Ayers tipped his hat down a little and thrust his hands into his pockets. "Uh, fer hwut it's worth, Hope, y'all took it mighty fine. Ain't nobody got physically hurt from it, so I'd certainly call it handled well." He tapped the frame of her wheelchair. "Y'ain't the only one on edge from that thing, though. I, uh, I wuz certainly tryna play it off that whole time, like y'do, but shit, that really gives perspective. A year t'git used to these arms, it ain't nearly as long as I thought it'd be, y'know?"
"...well, it took me a year to consider getting out of bed for longer than a couple of hours." She replied with an insincere laugh.
"...I'm glad nobody got hurt. Well... further hurt." She sighed, glancing back at where the airship was. Jack hasn't left with them, likely left in his own thoughts. Rheia sprinted ahead, as upset as they were.
"...I kinda want to get smashed this evening..." She sighed again, tapping her wheelchair with an irritated expression. "Got any moonshine stashed somewhere?"

Birds
Rufus slowed to a stop as the beast melted in front of him, grimacing in... well, his usual expression.
"Huh."
He looked over to Sechs, "So what do you thing? A jetpack? I've a couple other ideas how I might overcome my range limitations."
