Ieria rubbed the back of her head and smiled faintly. "I will admit, my only real experience with video games is fighting games. They are the only ones I can really get into..." She said with a shake of her head.
"I am nature's weapon. You are unfit to carry on your species, and I shall ensure that you do not do so!" - Charles Darwin, XCOM SniperCharisse - Grounds
"Nah, baby! You can do those things tomoooooorrooooow~!" Charisse replied, nuzzling Ai's chest. After a minute or two of hardcore snuggling, Charisse bodily picked Ai up and slung her over her shoulder.
The scene was very remeniscent of the amazons in her ancestral line, carrying off their prospective mates.
"Gimme your pants.. and now your other pants"Workshop
"Both." Pius replied. "You shouldn't spread yourself so thin among your drones, otherwise you'll totally cut off your mobility. One or two should do the job: one for offense, and the other for defense. The backpack is a good design; you can probably get your team's help in building it." Here the Nobel took her sword and inspected it, and he found himself a little disappointed with what he found.
"Imuka, your sword is too blunt," He observed, looking up at her with a critical gaze. "You won't be able to wear down Aura very well with this, and its capability against Grimm is almost non-existent. Sharpen it, and don't be afraid to use it more often against the enemy. Both humans and Grimm are very durable against harm in this world, Imuka; you shouldn't be afraid to do some damage if you want to win a battle." He set in down on the table next to them so she could retrieve it.
"Anything else you need advice on? If you're going to go with only two drones, I suggest you give them names like your sword. A Huntsman with a nameless weapon is like an artist without inspiration."

"I will make one more drone, but I will not abandon the swarm" the fox replies a bit stern for once on her willingness to hold to this. "While it is not ideal for combat, each individual in the swarm is capable of there own action, and each carries one tool, independently they are worthless but as a single networked entity, which is what they should be considered, they are like having a dozen hands, and I consider that more valuable for defense then any one object can be... I could name the swarm as a whole though, they are but a single entity" she pauses for a moment, thinking about how Pius inspected her blade, did he examine it beyond the surface? Or the surface alone? Did he fiddle at all with the trigger on the grip? Or note the cartridge that slides into the hilt?

"You only commented on the blade, when in this case the blade is not the important factor, it is mearly guidance" she replies, carefully picking her sword up, and griping tightly on the hilt. In response to its owners grip, the sword makes a humming sound, before beginning to crackle, beautiful arcs of electric current dance along its blade, working there way from the hilt to the tip in a graceful elemental ballet.
While this weapon is still not as fatal as any conventional counterpart, one thing is clear, a clean strike from it is going to hurt, badly.
SYNR
Rufus grabbed his scroll and looked it over thoughtfully.
"Now, I am sure one of them must be awake in their warren," He rumbled, "Let me think, which of them has the most interest in bodily applications of dust." He held a palm up to Silvia, "The Maddox are most famous for spatial warping crystals, such as the Vorpal Swords that makes the inside of the sheathe larger than the outside. However, they do many things.
"But, huh, who..." He leaned his head back and started to murmur to himself, "Lima? No, I'd rather no deal with her. Malum? Mmm, no, he mostly deals with explosives, not this. Cinara? Unreliable. Asparago? More so. Lentiscus... he could, but he's not easy to reach. Mmmm... I find my list is limited to Malata, Palta, Herb, Olivia and Mint."

"I didn't say anything about its Dust component because I already know it works well on its own," Pius replied. "But the problem with that is that you're deliberately denying Tender Mercy of its full capability as a Dust-channeling sword. I know from experience that a Dust-projecting blade is far more efficient that just a Dust-projecting rod, which is what you've reduced your weapon to. Why, Imuka? That seems almost insulting to the weapon as a useful tool."

"Speaking as one engineer to another Mister Pius.... surely you must understand the difficulty of translating neural commands to digital output, let alone without involving any moment in the person doing the commanding" she glances to his powered armour after delivering this non-answer. Was this tangent going to go any where? Or was she just trying to divert the topic, it would in this case be kind of hard to read.

"Yes. I myself am working on something with that notion on Dies Irae," Pius replied. "But my work on that is far from done compared to your kit, so I'm trying to save its completion for somewhere around Mk. VII. Now, back to Tender Mercy. Imuka, why won't you just sharpen it?" The Nobel would be watching the Faunus closely when she answered.

The faununs picks up on the close observation but continues her tangent instead of answering. "If you are having issues with it yourself, how do you think a faunus from a country known for a rigid caste system, where she would be considered non-notable, managed to develop such a technology? Let alone in a way that is in naught but a backpack?"
She turns around and removes her backpack full of communications equipment, retracting her shoulder just enough to cause her dress to slip as well, letting him see the scars that line her back, in the event that he missed them at the water park. It, at this point would be clear enough she is not comfortable providing a direct answer to him, not in a way that would satisfy him.
"H-Have you ever considered how useful it would be to control armoured units from a remote location with thought" She adds, hoping at this point the noble is smart enough to pick up on what she is implying as she fixes her clothes, looking down at the floor.
The hints were there if he was able to put them together, her extremely negative reaction in the aftermath of the Luna incident, the scars on her back, the tech that a student should not really have access too, even her lack of family on parents day... Some one tried to make a weapon of her, and this was very much her way of going against that.

Pius' eyes widened when he saw Imuka's dress fall down her back, covering his mouth with his hand as he looked away, turning his chair so that he didn't look at the Faunus. He only saw the lines running around her body for less than a second, but in that moment he understood why she was so against sharpening her sword.
"I—I understand," Pius replied, something inside him shutting down as he began going about the topic in an almost clinical manner. "Something happened to you. Someone hurt you, did terrible things to your body. Your control over machines wasn't yours to begin with, but now you have it." Letting out a breath he didn't know he was holding, the Nobel let himself breathe before returning to the conversation, still not facing her.
"I shouldn't have pressed you, Imuka...I'm sorry for making you remember. We have different scars, it seems."
Allurand and surrounding world loading, 28%..."It must be nice to have connections like that." said Silvia. "My family was just stuffed into Menagerie after a long history around Vale." she admitted. "After that most of us switched gears to stuff like law, accounting, white collar stuff."
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing."I actually didn't notice." said Silvia. "All I noticed demographic wise is that there are far more Faunus around the Beacon then there were where I lived." she said.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing."After so many faunus noble families and faunus owned enterprises were destroyed in the War, being a hunter is one of the few places left your kind can genuinely expect advancement and success.
"There is also less discrimination here. With few exceptions, most will consider you a huntress first, anything else second."
Silvia nodded.
"It's funny me being here when I think about it. Parents are mainly beureacrats... And then there's..." she trailed off a bit. "I shouldn't talk about it. I was doing so well keeping my mind off it..."

"Not now! I have things to do!"
Reacting automatically, Ai started to purr and then entered a trance-like state. All of her worries were temporarily forgotten. It was her mom who normally scratched her ears to comfort her, but she hadn't for nearly four years.
Four years? Has it really been that long? With that thought in her mind, Ai snapped back into reality.
"Th-this isn't going to fix anything," she admitted. Her face was clearly flushed. "I have to do important things now, you hear? L-let me go."
