At this point, Chloe not believing he's the devil is kind of a moot point now that she apparently comes on the wing hunt with him. It's not like there was a wham moment or a big reveal about it, it's more like she's just given up on her scepticism and resigned herself to hanging out with Satan on a weekly basis.
I've also discovered that Ellis comes from a family of Baptist ministers. Ha. XD

This show also helped me realize how common religious metaphors can be in day-to-day language. I think they can keep on going for a very long time before they run out of little jokes to do about God, the Devil and everything related. Even with Amenadiel joining Lucifer on the fun.

The wing theft was in the comics. That's the storyline I'm on now in fact. There they were taken by a Japanese death goddess. Here, who knows. But it would be nice to give them at least a shout out in some way.
And since it appears as though they are on some kind of magical black market auction table, I'd say whoever took them knew what they were and the value they had.

Only when it's Satan Mind Rape. Or Jack Bauer.
Aaand it looks like Lucifer's mortality is still an issue
Damn, Amenedial, damn. That was cold.
Amenedial is quite the charmer. And lol at the St. Paul fat joke
Woah. I certainly hope Lucifer just torched the fake wings for show and has the real ones hidden in a new place.

I think it's the dead cop's partner.
Be kinda sad if it was Detective Dan.
Somebody's not being subtle with the music in that piano scene. Shipping those two hard the network is. And Maze has a feather tucked away for safe keeping.
WTF AMANEDIAL JUST SAVED DEAD COP.
this was the best episode so far I think. The case was even kinda engaging.

Another good episode, mainly because half of it was all about the mythology. I loved Lucifer and Amenadiel's teamup and then their fight. "Yes, brother, fall like I did!" was a great line. Him burning his wings was great (I'm going to assume that he doused them in gasoline first or else angel wings are really flammable), but I know that Mazikeen keeping one feather of the wings is going to come up again.
The other half was merely okay. At least Chloe was smart this time and didn't announce to everyone that she was investigating a dirty cop. She really didn't think that there might be another dirty cop? And hey, here's something, why is she investigating the cop and not, say, Internal Affairs?
More mythology, less cop show please. And also, by now, they should really be introducing some mythological creatures. We already know that demons exist (like Maze), so other supernatural creatures should pop up, too.
In tv, Internal Affairs only shows up when they're investigating the main characters. The heroes have to handle dirty cops themselves. Person of Interest was really bad about this, with the dirty cops managing to get IA investigating the heroes rather than themselves. Admittedly, one of the heroes was a dirty cop, but he wasn't the one being investigated.
Writing a post-post apocalypse LitRPG on RR. Also fanfic stuff.Technically, Mazikeen is a Lillim and not a demon, but she is probably one in this continuity since demons are an easier concept to grasp for mainstream audience.
Also Lucifer being depowered and mortal is actually straight from the comics which I only now discovered as I'm readingnthem as I watch the show.
And didn't actually mind the case this week. I'm assuming there was no IA because no one wanted to push that on a cop in a coma. As far as they were concerned it was an undercover sting gone bad.

The whole thing with HR in POI was that they were a bit everywhere, which in hindsight was probably a way to prepare the viewers for the much bigger conspirations that came later. Also they loved to have dirt on everyone, and had political connections, so I found it easy to believe that IA never found anything conclusive on them.
Anyway, the show is much better than I expected it to be when I started watching. I honestly think that this episode balanced the cop stuff perfectly with the supernatural one: I am pretty sure it will retain its cop format because it makes it much easier to grab viewers along the way, but the story arc looks solid and the characters are really engaging.
The initial Bait-and-Switch with Maze was hilarious. As was Amenadiel flirting with Chloe and Lucifer getting pissed over it.
I had been wondering where Maze's wings were, and why if she still had them, she wasn't more powerful. If she's not an angel (fallen or otherwise), that would explain it.
I think there was a bit of "I have no idea why a white guy has a black brother, but I'm not going to ask, so I'll just talk about how pretty he is instead" in there too.

Oh man, they are finally finally getting into the good myth-arc. Just quit it with the Case of the Week and Chloe not believing he's the Devil and get into the really good stuff — all the stuff with Linda and Amenadiel and the wings were awesome tonight. And it looks like next week, we're getting a Lucifer/Amenadiel teamup to find the wings! Sweet!
In fact, wasn't there a story in the comic where Lucifer went to go get back his missing wings? Perhaps it'll follow that and we'll find some more supernatural creatures finally.
