Pluvia Sanguinis
Short version: A Tomislav
looking gun, it's barrel transforming into a spear. Gun: High rate of fire, very low accuracy. Spear: Low rate of fire, high accuracy. Meant to be Rufus's "side arm" at such times the enemy proves to be out of range of him running up to it with his sword.
Pluvia Sanguinis, the Rain Of Blood, a ranged counter part to the Blood Oath, Sanguinis Aspernor. The Maddox figure Rufus has got a depressive emo theme going, (He thinks the black make-up the Maddox head sent him for his birthday was some kind of mix-up. It was not.) and painted it appropriately to match his red-black color scheme.
The massive magazine drum is filled with rolls of cheap ammunition, powered by an alchemical reaction of fire dust, sulfur and guanu. They are fired rapidly and innacurately, filling the air with bullet so at least one of them has to hit. The barrel is a great deal more advanced, treated to channel Rufus's semblance efficiently so that the inefficiently burning bullets won't melt through it.
What's more, the barrel detaches and will form a tip point at the end to make a spear. In this form, it maintains Rufus's semblance for a time even after being thrown. With it's increased density, after being chucked by the equally dense Rufus, it flies with enough force and toughness to pierce embed itself deeply in concrete with negligible deformation.
Despite it's overall bulk, Rufus considers it a side-arm, to be pulled out in those situations that an available path to close-quarters makes itself rudely unavailable. He might be able to use it otherwise, but his first inclination remains pulling out his sword and charging at his foes.

Brothers. Sisters. Friends. It has been over a year and a half since our RP started. I can't thank you all enough for keeping Beacon alive for all these months. Thank you for sticking with my little writing experiment.
However, as a writer, I have to ask. Have I improved at all? What do I need to work more on? I love feedback.
And so.
Welcome To Beacon Survey Form I
Part 1: The GM
- As a player, what do you think is my strongest point as a GM? Why?
- Conversely, what is my weakest point? Do you have any tips for improvement for me?
- What's your favorite part/event from the RP?
- What's your least favorite part/event from the RP?
- As for my characters, the GMPC and assorted NPC's and villains, which one is your favorite? Why? Which one is the most fleshed out?
- Conversely, which character do you think is my weakest? The most one-dimensional? And what advice can you give me?
- As a GM have I improved from when you first started?
- Lastly, we've drifted so far from the concept of a RWBY RP. Why have you stayed?
Part 2: Those other guys
- Which of the player characters is your favorite? Why?
- Which character do you think has had the most development?
- What do you think of your own character's development? Are you happy with them?
- Which character do you want to interact more with yours? Why?
- A good writer can make you dislike a character as a person, but like how well written they are. Which player character made you react like that?
- Finally, which ships do you support? Why? (I'm sorry. It had to be done.)
I'm not entirely sure I'll be able to complete this, given I've been around for maybe one or two major plot events as opposed to... ah... everyone else here.
Still. Good luck with the survey, Grim!
Welcome To Beacon Survey Form I
Part 1: The GM- As a player, what do you think is my strongest point as a GM? Why?
Your cute voiceYour ability to pull plot out of your ass. Improvisation is key in making an RP work well and last.
- Conversely, what is my weakest point? Do you have any tips for improvement for me?
- The fact that we live in different time zones and you're always awake when I'm asleep, basically. That's not really something you can improve. Also stop making so many JADES YOU BASTARD
- What's your favorite part/event from the RP?
- That one time where everyone got sloshed and I wrote porn about it in a sort of semi-roundabout way.
- What's your least favorite part/event from the RP?
- Umbra whatever the fuck that date was. Too grimdark 5 me
- As for my characters, the GMPC and assorted NPC's and villains, which one is your favorite? Why? Which one is the most fleshed out?
- Alexia because she's cute. Alternatively, Mia because she's cute. I am not that skilled a man. The most fleshed out is Alexia, given her nature as a GMPC.
- Conversely, which character do you think is my weakest? The most one-dimensional? And what advice can you give me?
- Basically everyone who either already existed in RWBY, or is only referenced a few times. Ozpin, for example. His main personality trait is: kooky old man who makes the plot go sometime. Though, I'm sure that's because we only see them every so often. Have we even gone to any classes?
- As a GM have I improved from when you first started?
- I dunno. Don't remember.
- Lastly, we've drifted so far from the concept of a RWBY RP. Why have you stayed?
- Obligation to see this through.
you
- Obligation to see this through.
Part 2: Those other guys
- Which of the player characters is your favorite? Why?
MineBut legit though, gonna have to go with Mau... because he's cute. I'm sorry okay
- Which character do you think has had the most development?
- I'm quite fond of Hope's character arc as its gone so far. From being more robotic than Imuka, who's mostly robit, to being someone who'll happily faff about with her friends is nice. Well, she's still monotone, but at least she's happy.
- What do you think of your own character's development? Are you happy with them?
- I've got one planned in the future, if all goes well. That's probably her first major development.
- Which character do you want to interact more with yours? Why?
- Anyone not from my team is good. Not too picky about that. Plees.
- A good writer can make you dislike a character as a person, but like how well written they are. Which player character made you react like that?
- Alfred, and I kind of help write him once in a while. What an incorrigible asshole. On par with Stormer, for similar reasons.
- Finally, which ships do you support? Why? (I'm sorry. It had to be done.)
- AlfredXStormer, DoubAl, Imuka X Anything that identifies female, Chai, Glerin, Maleria, PiusXAutoblow2, GrimXFerg

G was here - 2/9/24Why am I doing this, I don't do these even when I get free food. ;w;
- Well your strongest point is that you somehow managed to keep this running for a solid year. So I'd say you've got a pretty good grasp on how to keep things alive and provide the players with enough content to keep enjoying themselves.
- I swear to God if the next Antagonist is a Jade, I'm flying to the Philippines to gut you in person. <3
- My favorite event is probably Hotsprings. You can guess why.
- My least Favorite is...I don't have one. I'm actually being serious, I don't.
- Beth is my favorite GMPC. I am a man of simple tastes, I know what I like.
- As for my least Favorite/the weakest...gonna have to agree with Gyro/Amp on that, Ozpin is the weakest.
- I've stayed this long, and will continue to stay because I enjoy myself. Simple as that.
- My Favorite Player Character is probably...ehhh, Hope. She's just lovably angsty and cute. I dunno, I like her and I like the way Ferg plays her.
- Most developed? Probably Charisse. I don't know, feels like the girl has gone on a roller-coaster of development.
- I'm not done with Ieria's character development, and likely won't be for a long while. It's going to be a slow process, but I'm sure I'll be satisfied with the end result.
- I really need to branch out and have Ieria interact with people outside of her team/just Medus.
- Eesh, don't really have an answer for that. I like pretty much all the characters, to be honest.
- Oh Boy: Doub Al, Chai, Glerin, Chemus, Carcas, SHY, Yupe/Hun, and lastly Maleria.
Part 1
- As a player, what do you think is my strongest point as a GM? Why?
- Your dedication, or at least, the fact that you haven't given up on this yet. Because there were plenty of reasons to just say "fuck this" and go away. Both real life and related to the people here. Otherwise, you're good enough at pulling crap out of nowhere.
- Conversely, what is my weakest point? Do you have any tips for improvement for me?
- This is a personal nitpick, but you have an annoying tendency for doing things that feel incredibly stupid and bulshitty in combat sessions, Though sometimes it's unavoidable you could do some good by trying to not do that at most situations. Otherwise you're decent, although you could do some good by making sure that no one is the center, plot wise, stuff like the anomalies and what happened with the Jades before should be used less, this is an RP, not a story.
- What's your favorite part/event from the RP?
- Drunk Orgy Night. Probably. Started well, ended well.
Also smut material
- Drunk Orgy Night. Probably. Started well, ended well.
- What's your least favorite part/event from the RP?
- Probably the Beach Island Or Umbra 13, though that is not the fault of anyone specific more a cavalcade of bad events and luck of motivation. And the second was just... It just came out of nowhere for me and at a bad time
- As for my characters, the GMPC and assorted NPC's and villains, which one is your favorite? Why? Which one is the most fleshed out?
- I don't pay much attention to your npcs, so I guess Alexia, and maybe Alice. I wanna see more of king-what's-his-name. He was cool for the one event we saw him. Alexia's well fleshed out.
- Conversely, which character do you think is my weakest? The most one-dimensional? And what advice can you give me?
- School staff is kinda boring and the people who are in the real show are not well written, but that's to be expected, otherwise Alexandros, though I more hate him for his impossible ideals, I don't hate him as a villain, but I'm eh about him. I say that it is fine as it is, because the school staff are not your characters, we barely see them which is probably for the best, and the second one is just personal and a nitpick. Also, Candor.
- As a GM have I improved from when you first started?
- Yes, definitely, you've stopped overusing elipses!
- Lastly, we've drifted so far from the concept of a RWBY RP. Why have you stayed?
- I've stayed because I have nowhere else to go. Before the IDF takes me anyway.
Part 2
- Which of the player characters is your favorite? Why?
- I think Ai and Hope are kinda cool. Also Charisse, and Glen got some massive improvements over the RP so I'd put him there. I don't really have a number one favorite character.
- Which character do you think has had the most development?
- Glen definitely had the coolest character development, not sure about most but the one I liked it's nice to see the usual highlander stereotypical warrior come in conflict with his standard clan ideals and try to carve his own path.
- What do you think of your own character's development? Are you happy with them?
- Still in development, still has plenty of things planned. Hopefully some of it will be with a character that isn't Alexia. He only barely developed one level. So am I happy with where it is? Sort of. But I think it is too soon to say.
- Which character do you want to interact more with yours? Why?
- Anyone that isn't Alexia, why? because Al seriously needs to interact with more people damn it. He barely does it. I'm not really picky about this one.
- A good writer can make you dislike a character as a person, but like how well written they are. Which player character made you react like that?
- Noa I guess, not many character made me react like that because not many characters are written to be like that. Noa's the closest to that.
- Finally, which ships do you support? Why? (I'm sorry. It had to be done.)
- Doub Al because I'm obligated to say that. Otherwise I don't do ships. So none.

Alright, here be me survey answers.
Part 1: The GM
- As a player, what do you think is my strongest point as a GM? Why?
- Your sheer dedication to keeping this alive for so long. You've been through some tough times, but you've always made an effort to at least try to do something for this.
- Conversely, what is my weakest point? Do you have any tips for improvement for me?
- The fact that you're on a different timezone from most of us, though I suppose it can't be helped.
- What's your favorite part/event from the RP?
- Hmm, hard to say, really. I don't have one overall favorite at this moment.
- What's your least favorite part/event from the RP?
- Probably the Midwinter Ball, since I see that as where I made the most fuck-ups in terms of writing.
- As for my characters, the GMPC and assorted NPC's and villains, which one is your favorite? Why? Which one is the most fleshed out?
- I think I really like Alexandros. He's got some pretty complex motivations as a villains and it's interesting to see what he'll do next. I'm also rather fond of Alexia as well.
- Conversely, which character do you think is my weakest? The most one-dimensional? And what advice can you give me?
- Pretty much all of the teachers. I think you aught to use them more since this is Beacon Academy, after all.
- As a GM have I improved from when you first started?
- I'd certainly say so.
- Lastly, we've drifted so far from the concept of a RWBY RP. Why have you stayed?
- Because I love this RP to death and want it to keep on keeping on.
Part 2: Those other guys
- Which of the player characters is your favorite? Why?
- Hmm, hard to pick a definite favorite, but I really like Lucas, Hope, Pius, Alexia, and Alfred.
- Which character do you think has had the most development?
- Hard for me to say, since I haven't been here long enough to see most of the prior character development.
- What do you think of your own character's development? Are you happy with them?
- I haven't even begun Stormer's character development yet, though I do plan to move that a bit sometime in the near future.
- Which character do you want to interact more with yours? Why?
- Any character will do. I'd like to more firmly establish Stormer's (admittedly poor) standing with all the other students.
- A good writer can make you dislike a character as a person, but like how well written they are. Which player character made you react like that?
- Hmm...hard to say. I personally think almost all of the PC's (aside from my own) are likable in their own way, actually.
- Finally, which ships do you support? Why? (I'm sorry. It had to be done.)
- Almost too many to name.

"Never let anyone tell you that something is impossible." - Monty Oum, 1981-2015Part 1: The GM
- As a player, what do you think is my strongest point as a GM? Why?
- You've kept most of us together for this long.
- Conversely, what is my weakest point? Do you have any tips for improvement for me?
- You still power through downtime by aggressively timeskipping. But maybe that's why you've kept most of us together for this long. I'm also just going to reiterate what Lior said about placing characters in the center of the plot.
- What's your favorite part/event from the RP?
- The beach volleyball scene. RIP Stormer and Lucas.
- What's your least favorite part/event from the RP?
- I actually can't say that Umbra 13 is my least favorite event. The torture scene was excessive and the mutilation kind of didn't amount to much (mostly because this setting permits very advanced prosthetics), but it also led to some good character growth, I think.
- So I'm going to say most of the Zanz island arc, which cut short and amounted to very little. I think, like, the only thing we got out of that is that Erin's a ghost, which isn't really related to the events on Zanz.
- Also, anything related to anomalies. It's kind of exclusionary.
- As for my characters, the GMPC and assorted NPC's and villains, which one is your favorite? Why? Which one is the most fleshed out?
- This varies, but right now is a tie between Mia and Erin. Something I like about the fact that they're both ghosts with unfinished business. And Erin doesn't even know what her unfinished business is yet.
- Conversely, which character do you think is my weakest? The most one-dimensional? And what advice can you give me?
- Candor. We also have a lot of NP Cs that don't really show up or do anything anymore except to be referenced off-handedly. Like most of team COGS.
- As a GM have I improved from when you first started?
- Lastly, we've drifted so far from the concept of a RWBY RP. Why have you stayed?
- I am personally invested in characters and the sense of community we have. Also I'm just kind of bewildered that there is an RP on this planet that has lasted more than like ~2 weeks
Part 2: Those other guys
- Which of the player characters is your favorite? Why?
- It varies, but right now it's Imuka or Glen.
- Which character do you think has had the most development?
- Alfred, by a long shot. His original character sheet almost doesn't describe him anymore.
- What do you think of your own character's development? Are you happy with them?
- It's alright. I regret that Ai's biggest moment of character development pretty much happened before Beacon, in her backstory.
- Which character(s) do you want to interact more with yours? Why?
- Too many. Right now I kind of want to interact with the members of team GRAY more.
- A good writer can make you dislike a character as a person, but like how well written they are. Which player character made you react like that?
- I still kind of like the characters with unsavory personality traits, so I can't really answer this question. The characters I dislike aren't well written, so...
- Finally, which ships do you support? Why? (I'm sorry. It had to be done.)
- The three C's (Chai, Chemus, Carcas), Pius/Dies Irae Mk VI Love Machine

Very recent update from the Skype folks.
Looks like this is probably an issue with the central Skype server.
